  1. I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it....
  2. Brickcitydepot has plans for a FB conversion into a 16-wide Residential home. https://www.brickcitydepot.com/CB020/city_townhouse
  3. Octan Icecream? I'll have an unleaded one and a two diesels please.... Good looking start to a MOC. I can't wait to see it as it progresses.
  4. Crossbones has just finished in the US and I, for one, enjoyed it. For sure John Malkovich was hammier than a packet of bacon and his accent/intonation infuriating (watch it and you'll un---derst----ahhhhnnned), but it was a well written, tense with high production values.
  5. There was only twelve of them! But back to the MOC. I saw the Thread title and was prepared to be impressed, but these interiors are truly spot on! You've put so much detail in them. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  6. PF is ok, but there's something special about 9V and there's something really freakin' awesome about the Metroliner. Build it! Build it! Build it! Build it!
  7. I'm an English ex-pat living in deepest rural Missouri. Originally from Cumbria and I've been a Chelsea fan since 1970 (when they stuffed the tykes of Leeds Utd in the FA Cup replay!). So, yeah I remember Worzel Gummidge! (although Catweazle was better IMHO)
  8. No keep it! It's a terrible pun, but a gem. Oh, and you've added Macsen as the owner of Grimsbrick United when it's me!
  9. I'm in with Grimsbrick United! Fear us.... ...oh and Özil Gummidge is a terrible pun.
  10. Thanks for posting pictures lego_ff!
  11. Great detailing and that's a fantastic explosion!
  12. It looks good! It's an interesting scale you've chosen. I like it - we should call it LegoJalex scale!
  13. Great job everyone! 31: 4 46: 4 28: 2 25: 3 3: 3 49: 2 53: 2
  14. Congratulations on your win! The building is superb and I really like the detail you've put into the facade.
  15. I like the irony of Travellers using leached wifi to book their next adventure online in the shadow of a failed brick and mortar Travel Agent. But the one thing my Lego town fears most is Hipsters and their attempts at gentrification. And where's there's expensive cupcakes then Hipsters can't be too far behind..... my Lego town is doomed.
  16. It looks great! I really like the vegetation, the crumbling masonry and your use of discolored bricks.
  17. Octan Travel Agent/Cupcake Shop My economically depressed Lego city is continuing its long walk into dereliction and abandonment. But there are the occasional signs of life! In one corner of the city some fool one has decided to use the old Octan Travel Agency and turn the ground floor into a Cupcake shop. The facade has the real feel of an aircraft's fuselage and comes complete with two fluffy white clouds*. The Travel Agency hasn't been in use since the 1990s and you may notice the entrance door high up on the second floor. But the previous owners did leave the Airport Stairs behind. Again, though this is dilapidated and neglected. Here's the interior of the Cupcake shop. (Mostly liberated from a Friends Cafe set) One final shot of the Airport Stairs. Oh, and I posted an early version of the Travel Agents on my LUGS Facebook page to get suggestions and feedback. I received ideas ranging from adding a short stubby wing and adding a sun. But my favorite comment was from one member suggested that I create a sticker with "Every Wing is Awesome". Now that's the perfect slogan for Octan Travel! Comments, criticism, ridicule most welcome! *I was going to embed The Orb's "Fluffy White Cloud". I might still do.
  18. Sweet ride!
  19. This is superb! I love the attention to detail throughout the piece. Good luck in the competition!
  20. Whatever it looks like (probably) and whatever it costs (within reason) I'm going to get it. And it will get built and displayed and then cannibalized into something even more awesome. Bring it on, Lego. Bring it on!
  21. I bricked some fluffy white clouds for a new display.
  22. Fair point, but there's a multitude of styles and functions they could still offer up as product and they'd probably continue to be highly successful. However, I think their challenge is to going to be containing costs and providing perceived value for AFOLs/FOLs at a decent price. If the Town Hall was released nowadays we wouldn't see it at that $199 price point and I remember the mumblings of discontent when the Parisian Restaurant was priced at $159 barrier for an admittedly modest-sized building. So whatever future Modulars TLG issues (and I hope they continue for a long time) it can't be at the price points we've become accustomed to. My prediction: The next release is going to 'feel' expensive. Me? I'm just happy to be building Modular MOCs and none of my MOCs fit in with any meta-pattern of function.
