  1. A Clutch of minifigs sounds good to me also!
  2. Excellent! Are you going to brick it in real life?
  3. Wow! That's a complete contrast to your last one. It's like you've cranked up the technicolors to acid fabulous! I love it.
  4. Perfect looking Laundromat! I really like the details you've got in the machines.
  5. Great interior! And I like the facade, but the only thing I might consider altering would be the two doors at the corner. Have you considered just setting one of them at 45 degrees so that it cuts off the corner?
  6. It looks good! The security bars are a nice touch - as is, of course, the 'usual junk' round the back. And I really like the ad hoc exposed brick details.
  7. I see what you did there. Very clever....
  8. Great looking frontage and I love the clouds.
  9. I'll try harder next time... Thanks, the windows came from a Ninjago Temple of Light set. And yes, I'm a rebel.... a rebel without a clue! All part of my plan to entertain. The original plan for an Oriental Restaurant was going to be called TOHO with a Godzilla theme going on. The Chu Nail Salon name just really amused me - probably way more than it should.
  10. Chu Nail Salon I had been building a single level Oriental Restaurant and was close to finishing when Toorayay posted his Octopus Restaurant http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97675. Mine wasn't to that high level so I quickly had to come up with an alternative. So, I made some minor changes to the facade, added an additional level, changed the SNOT Lettering, ditched the interior in its entirety and came up with... Chu Nails! Here's details of the SNOT lettering. I wanted something that looked signage on a cheap hotel. There's a combination of right way up and upside down vertical and horizontal connections clipped onto the cattle grid background. Details of the front entrance. I was looking for an abstract Nail display and one of the earlier iterations had nail brushes moving via technic gears and axles and although it functioned it looked too Heath Robinson to remain. The interior. This shows the foot-bath, nail table, overhead lighting and a couple of mirrored tables (stolen from a Friends set) And a view from the other angle showing the waiting room - complete with L shaped sectional sofa, fish tank and potted plant and restroom. And a final shot of Chu Nail's during Chinese New Year Thanks for reading. Comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome!
  11. One of the best Truck MOCs I've seen! And it has functions!
  12. It looks good! I think you'll find that all our Cities are WIPs...
  13. Perhaps it's time for a Eurobricks 'Build a Trackside structure' competition ? I'm sure there's plenty of ideas out there.
  14. I'd heard that the reference to nine dragons were due to the eight hills and the Emperor (but I could be wrong). Either way these are excellent looking MOCs!
  15. That's a good resource - thanks for sharing it!
  16. In that case my job is done. Thank you, I'm here all week and don't forget to try the veal....
  17. My missus called me up to tell me that one of the local stores had 50% of a bunch of sets! She came home with a stack of Friends sets, the Creator Eagle and the Ninjago Temple of Light! Best. Wife. Ever!
  18. It's ironic that it was a 'clutch' problem that resulted in the loss of the container - mind you had it been clone-brand bricks it'd would probably have fallen off in the harbour.
  19. Not at all. As long as you can get the URL of the right sized image then you can post within the thread. Try this approach. Copy the Address (URL)... all of it. You should get something like http://www.blahblahblah.jpg Then go to the Eurobricks Thread hit EDIT or REPLY and use the IMAGE icon (looks like a crappy landscape picture) to paste the Image URL in and you should see it
  20. You're in luck! The kindly admins of this site have just created a tutorial http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921 Check that out and if there's still anything you need just ask....
  21. It looks good and it looks like Amsterdam. The different heights and the various facades look effective. But you're about to enter the black blue hole that is how to make lego water. I tried with my first Pirate MOC a couple of years ago to make a quayside http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77802 I used SNOT blue bricks, but it's difficult to make the water look right or interesting and having been to Amsterdam myself I can promise you that Lego Blue doesn't look like the Kaisergracht! I'd suggest checking out some of the other Piratey MOCs as quaysides and islands seem to be popular over there. Good luck with your build and please show us what you come up with!
  22. Well, they DO carry their houses on their backs! When I was a very young kid I was told that Turtles carry their homes on their backs and I imagined that their shells contained comfy sofas and a small kitchen. I guess that's true! Here's my Modular Turtle. The house has an interior complete with a chair and TV - there's a TV aerial, gutters, smoke billowing out of the chimney and the obligatory crumbling facade. Edit: Reposted with a picture with a white background and cleaned up the text.
  23. Looks good, but you should probably check out this thread http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86259
  24. Super job Bennemans! Good looking interior.
  25. Excellent! Good luck with that competition entry.
