    I don't have good interior light in my Lego room so I take my pictures outside. (Taken with an iPhone on an overcast day). A steady hand (or use tripod, or simple stand) and clear light (not bright, direct sunlight as that generates too dark shadows) and some judicious cropping and voila!

    According to my spreadsheet I've placed 51 Bricklink orders with an average cost of $35 (highest priced single order was $86). When I've got a specific wanted list in mind and the BL Store has only part of it (and it's of low value) I'll frequently trawl around other items that the BL store has to pad my spares pile - usually 1xN's. That way I keep postage costs down (as a %age of total) and build up my inventory.

    Liverpool have spent $190 million in the offseason on transfers. It's a shame they didn't think of defense when they built the team. Exciting going forward, but dear God they're going to ship a lot of goals (again)....

    Here, in rural Missouri, my nearest roundabout is 60 miles away. They are so rare that drivers are unused to them and it's caused some problems. I've had people tell me that roundabouts are 'socialist' and 'unamerican'

    I've built a couple of their buildings from instructions (Smokestacks, Commercial Pack 1, Chili's restaurant, City Residential Pack 4). They all came with a XML page that you can use to build a Bricklink Wanted list and then use that to trawl through the available BL stores. I 'went rogue' on all of the builds by changing the design, color-scheme, substituting bricks and the interior detail to suit my needs and my (then current) inventory, but generally I'd say $0.10-$0.12 per average piece isn't going to too far off the mark. The total cost is going to be dependent on your current inventory - if you're not going to mod anything. If in doubt you might consider one of the multiple building Packs then build one of them and see how you found the experience before committing to build the other one. But I found the instructions clear and informative and it was a fun process ordering additional pieces from BL. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on.

    I'm not sure what LFC are thinking of. They've had to sell Suarez and now they're signing another a talented, but deeply flawed player. This isn't going to end well, but at least we've all got front row seats to the train wreck. Madness!

    I really like this build - it's striking and unusual. If I could make one suggestion it would be to keep the lot next to it empty so you get to enjoy the MOC from more angles. Thanks for sharing it with us.

    I agree. And even if they do cancel the series I'll still continue to build my own (sixteen so far posted here in this forum and the half-dozen or so that haven't made it, so far, to eurobricks).

    I like the changes you've made - restricting the color-palette and randomising the layout of the foliage has definitely improved the build.
