Good looking interior on both the buildings, although I think the patient has already received enough painkillers. I really like the living room on the Sand Green house - those color combinations work very well. But I think my favorite detail is the hobo with the dog next to the dumpster in the alleyway!

Helps with my building abilities - definitely hinders my ability to write and post threads about it.... -
Lovely looking curves and an interesting facade. LT nailled it with 'Art Deco feel'. Thanks for sharing it with us and please show some more pictures!

I don't know. Maybe a couple of upside 87087 Bricks (modified 1 x 1 with stud on one side) and an upside down cheese slope. I was getting to the very end of my light blue grey inventory and I'm not sure I've got the pieces to complete it, but hey, there's a link to the original makers plans in the first post in this thread - you should try it!

Lego Caravans Summer's here! And what better way to start it off by building a couple of Caravans. I'd been struggling with a Chicken Bus based on the Harry Potter Knight Bus. My first attempts looked like an Eggplant with Windows, then it morphed into a fairly decent looking 7-wide Transit bus. But it still wasn't what I was hoping for so I started again from scratch and built this caravan. It's 7-wide, 22 studs long and although the color scheme looked a bit loud I'm pleased with the outcome. There are exterior lights, steps, a roof mounted AC unit, an awning currently rolled up ( ), a couple of Gas bottles on the front tongue, but it currently has no interior. Then as part of my forthcoming Trailer Park I had to build another one and I stumbled across RTN LNA's instructions for an Airstream on another site (http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/255110). I knew I just had to build it. The door was tricky and I slightly changed the connection method for the roof and the two ends and added the AC unit/TV antenna but otherwise it's his plans that I used and they are well recommended. So grab a cold one and join me around the campfire! Comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome.

Generally 3/4 and occasionally 6. I think it's our responsibility to be supportive and encouraging to all who post here. But if something looks very poorly designed or built then I'll probably not comment. If, on the other hand, an AFOL asks for feedback and suggestions then I try to be constructive.

I think it's the asymmetry in the building that's causing the most doubt amongst the commentators. That could be fixed by shuffling the #4 entrance bay to be alongside #3 and making the bell tower with 1932 24-wide straddling both bays. On a more positive note I do like the opening to the left - that's a good detail and the whole building sure is imposing. It's now got a scale that fits well with the rest of your City. Oh, and I'm very happy to see you didn't include the two anemic and underwatered trees... Mine went straight into the parts bin when I built my FB.

Good details on the planters and I think a civic space like this would be a fine addition to any lego city! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Lazy journalism at it's laziest. And I'm speaking as an lazy ex-journalist.

Thanks for all the comments! I've known for a while that I had to change the Palace Theatre - I just wasn't sure into what though. As I went through the ideas the usual suspects came up - bars, nightclubs, cafes etc. But then I started tinkering with round 2 x 2s and the first completed piece was the rack of Carpets in the main showroom area. I'd recommend to anyone reworking their modulars and I think I'm going start on morphing the Fire Station is something else next.

Another Bricklink order arrived and it should be enough to finish my downmarket Trailer Park!

Palace Carpets I really liked the 10232 Palace Theatre, but it's faux-orientalism and old-timey roaring twenties glittery feel didn't look right in my economically distressed town. So, after years of neglect it's reopened as a Carpet and Flooring showroom. The original decorative facade had been covered in stucco and years of dirt, many of the wrought iron features had been sold for scrap. The roof had had a fire, but the new owner's are renovating. It's undergoing some last touch-ups here and there... And the roof looks like it's had some fire damage. And there's still a lot of the crumbling facade to fix and there's a bunch of burned out lights to replace but the doors are open and customers are shopping. Carpet rolls on the walls, circular rugs to one side, and a fine collection of area rugs. The window display. And on the second floor even more carpets - although clearly these are the designs and colors that are not selling well. One final shot! Remember for all your carpeting and flooring needs come and see us at Palace Carpets! Comments, criticism and ridicule welcome!

Good looking truck with a very accurate mechanism.

Good looking mountain scenery Serpico. I too like the forced perspective - it's very well done.

The Death Star (Look at the size of that thing!)
eurotrash replied to Gotta love the plastic's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm conflicted. I mean cool set and it looked like an heavy-duty building session AND it was a great looking Lego explosion at the end, BUT it was a Lego explosion. -
It looks good! Just one question though. Was this a paid sponsored post because there seems to be a lot of name brand Product placement going on?
