  1. This creation was inspired by Nick Trotta’s mind blowing starfighters, and is an entry into the Mystery Bag category of the 2016 MOCAthalon. For the category I had 5 parts that I had to include in the build: Plate 1×2 with Door Rail, Barb Large Flexible, Brick 1×1 with Headlight, Plate with Angular Extension, and the Scorpion. I’d been wanting to do a star-fighter for a while and given the required parts selection, a star-fighter in the shape of a scorpion seemed like the obvious choice. See more pictures on my website: link Thanks for looking, feedback always welcome
  2. A replica of the solar porch on the front of my house. It's where all my LEGO MOCs have been photographed, so it has a special significance to my LEGO hobby: See more pictures on my website: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=3903 Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated.
  3. This MOC was a commissioned model builld. My client gave me the general layout, and some specific details to include, and then let me go from there. It’s 64×64 plus the two stud border, and is modular, allowing each 32×32 module to be easily removed, and also allowing for easy additions in the future. All the building’s doors/trapdoors are functional, the two cranes work, and the prison cell has a break-away wall. Total piece count, excluding figs and accessories (all the dock cargo) was 5696 parts, making it my largest MOC in the Pirate theme so far. See lots more pictures on my website: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=3813 Feedback welcome
  4. Those baby dragons are quite cute Good parts use for the wings
  5. Neat idea having one tower on an island in the water Good stonework and arrow slits too
  6. Wow, that was a brilliant story Which is fitting for such an impressive MOC. The whole thing looks very realistic, with the fence, stone wall, and paths being some highlights for me Lovely stone building too
  7. I'm looking to trade or sell these parts: As you can see in the picture, most of the Harry Potter heads are somewhat banged up or have faded printing. The scooby doo and friends figs are in superb condition though. The price for the whole lot is $45 plus shipping which in the US would only be a few more dollars. I'm interested in castle building parts and figs especially, though not limited to that by any means. So if you have something you'd like to trade, just let me know. PM me, if you're interested in some or all of the above.
  8. That's a super clever cobblestone design Great color choice for the plant life too
  9. Quite a massive castle layout! The lighthouse with wooden window, and hanging cage is magnificent Lovely bridge design with the ladders, droid arms, and bars too Great smoke effect coming out of the chimney
  10. Very pretty medieval town scene The slightly varied height/depth of the buildings really brings it to life Great roofs too
  11. Looking forward to seeing what you build once your LEGO room is set up!
  12. The 'loose' build is really well done, I especially like the path there The final build is also impressive, with the two unique yet similar buildings, low wall, and pretty landscape One of your best builds so far!
  13. That's a pretty fun concept, and your execution is quite effective Neat little clouds and the sun design is clever
  14. Fabulous build. It makes wonderful use of the flexible roof technique, and the light up effect is marvelous When you do join GoH, be sure to join Mitgardia
  15. Really nice Greek temple The use of gold wings as decoration is clever, and I like the tree
  16. I'm glad I was able to contribute to this project, it looks so epic all together
  17. Wow, that badger quad looks amazing Great aggressive stance to it, and the olive green adds to the rugged look
  18. Very cool plant designs, and the darker picture makes for quite an atmospheric image
  19. Whoa! Crazy good use of the parts separator The Kawashita micros are also excellent, I like the rear fins on the ships
  20. Built for the “Night at the Opera” category of the 2016 MOCAthalon. I’m not familiar with opera in general, but I enjoyed the opera scene from Mission Impossible, Rogue Nation and decided to base my build off of that. It was an interesting challenge to include both the stage and props, as well as some backstage area and support structure. On stage the opera continues smoothly, but danger lurks, hidden in the shadows. Will agent Ethan Hunt be able to prevent the assassination? A video showing the construction of the center pagoda, I'm working on one for the tower: There are lots more pictures on my website. Thanks for looking
  21. This turned out really nicely! The bley statues on top of the battlements are a nice touch, and I like rockwork spilling out at the corner That does make for a rather abrupt transition with the vertical black edges of the border though. Perhaps have the black border start lower and slope back up to the needed height. Very pretty windows, and I like the crossbow rack. Keep on improving, you're becoming quite a builder
  22. Thanks Gideon, I tried to make the wooden section a bit different than most I've done before Thanks! Thank you Thanks! Thank you, at larger conventions there are sometimes multiple people displaying GoH builds, but the wide variety of locations makes it difficult to get many builds displayed at once.
  23. Thanks! Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the final build in this series Thank you Thanks, I had fun switching the figs' attire to match the colder weather Thanks Kai! Thanks, and yeah I get it Thanks Titus, spring or summer was my favorite of the 4 Thanks Blufiji! They each have their own appeal I think, it's neat to hear which season different people favor Thanks Captain! Thank you Thanks Sarah, and that would be a really cool way to add to this concept Thanks! Thanks Graham Thanks UM Thanks kayne, that was a welcome surprise Thanks John! Thanks Gideon Thanks, as would I
  24. Lovely building! I really like this series you've started, your buildings have a different style than what I normally see The green roof is really pretty, and I like the combination of stone and wood for the building. Gotta love that half stud offset wattle and daub too
  25. Good use of those fez parts behind the headlights Nice parts combo to form the trunk area as well
