  1. I don't want to be big and strong, I want to be a swinging bream!

  2. Gel of fresh grass, bubbling streams, melting snow and sprouting flowers wherever she walks. The third piece in my Four Seasons project. The previous two, Fómhar and Forfhuarú dwell in the Action Figure subforum, but I posted this one here as this definitely isn't an acyion figure (the legs are too fragile). Summer is coming (Brace yourselves, or suspender whatever). The main idea was to have bare feet so the flowers can sprout after them. I also wanted to use Friends balloon parts as a flower dress, and it nicley added some color to overall green scheme. The hair is ultimately my favorite part here. More pictures and talk can be seen and read on my blog, Cyclopic Bricks.
  3. Thanks for the review, VBBN - Looking forward the next ones. I voted "average". I like the wendigo-like ide behind this guy, and the price isn't bad at all. I also really like the Mask of Control (Some say it look like an old grumpy dwarf; I like old grumpy dwarves). But somehow this looks a bit random. The colors are pretty cool, but a bit cluttered. For example the horns that have three colors on them; Recoloring triple connectors in Dark Tan would have improved it a lot, or they could have used dark brown spider legs (though I prefer having the recolors). I also feel there is too much bley/flat silver, as dark red/trans-bright green and black look great together. And yeah, the "bow". Spring shooter would have been cooler. Now it's pretty identical to Skull Warrior's bow. I can't like the legs neither. It's positive that the designers tried something different, but those just don't look good. They might be fun to pose with, though, but of course I can't know that.
  4. This was something like a super-fast build for a LUG contest, simply with theme "space". Our hero must save Moon Governor's daughter from Plutonian Mining Robot Warrior. I wanted to achieve B-movie look, so I built the robot as toy-ish as possible, and made the minifigs arther ridiculous. I also tried to use several odd parts, like the egg dome, contrainer halves on the legs and shoulder pads, and one of them Rock Riders drills (polished and everything). There are few more shots and talk on Cyclopic Bricks. Enjoy.
  5. I think the chances for Barks/Rosa canon Donald Duck are weak. Sadly. Especially if he comes with Pluto, which should have nothing to do with the "real" Donald.
  6. Nice stout design, looks especially good on the first pose. Nice use of Vader's chest armor.
  7. The opening hatches are such brilliant. The overall shaping is also very cool.
  8. Nice review, the picture quality is excellent! But I don't really like this set; The use of printed round tile is nice, but those bridges are rather boring and have no interesting pieces or piece uses... The overall color scheme is nice though.
  9. Great review. This is rather cool. I really like the idea of these cityscape sets. They look a bit too tight-packed though, the Bahn Tower and TV tower almost seem to touch each other... I'm glad the graffiti-painted bit of the wall is there, giving a taste of Berlin's fresh and lively underground culture. It's very refreshing cty to visit.
  10. Yay, first day, and my tree on the calendar page to ice the cake! Thanks heaps CopMike! And great December to every one of you!
  11. My newest creation: King Dedede from Nintendo's Kirby and Super Smas Bros. games! King Dedede is Kirby's nemesis and a vert fat Penquin. Dedede's round shapes and pattern were rather challenging. I also took some liberties with the head to make is look funnier and slightly sillier. It was also nice to work with bright colors, as my creations often tend to use lot of brown and greys. There are more pictures&talk on my blog, as always. Enjoy!
  12. That's excellent! One of my favourites of Echer's prints. The head choice is perfect.
  13. Rey's feet and 3M shell in her arm are definitely dark brown, while Finn's hands and head are reddish brown.
  14. Sir Robin The Not-As-Brave-As-Lancelot! Anyway, this theme looks better than before (as they always do with the clear pictures). I doubt I'll end up getting any, but there's plenty of stuff to pick up from BL later on. King's Mech looks best of the bunch, it's always nice to see a beard recolor.
  15. Build as relaxing little MOC between more challenging projects, Nori in his regal armour found at Erebor's vaults (and seen to briefly in The Battle of the Five Armies). I had bought 125 short black chain pieces from LUGBULK this year. I think they look very nice as chainmail. Few more shots and talk on Cyclopic Bricks. Thanks for watching!
  16. ...And banana and fish counts as a garbage instead of being eaten.
  17. That's quite cute! Liking those eyes and the nose.
  18. My latest Discworld MOC featuring two of the first characters on the series, coward wizard Rincewind and his magical chest monster The Luggage, both appearing in Color of Magic from 1983. Rincewind is based on Paul Kidby's impression. The Luggage's design was pretty universal; I'm especially happy how the teeth and the tongue turned out. More can be found on my blog. Enjoy.
  19. Loving the printed 4x4 wedge on the juniors set; Gotta get one from somewhere. Really cool print. Bugger that moustache pirate's goggles aren't reddish brown as seen on the teaser poster, though.
  20. Great layot, very nice colors. I like the gatehouse and the house under construction.
  21. Thanks, it was based on these seen on TBB and expanded further, so not completely my own design; I'm glad I grabbed those baby bows from PaB in Britain, great pieces.
  22. My ideal chrismas tree is huge, natural living tree. Notice vastness of room for presents.
  23. Part two on my Four Seasons project: Gel of falling leaves, odor of apple pie in cold air and warm colors in the woods. The idea was to use weaved leaves as a dress. Otherwise this was pretty much designed as I went on. The hat and hair are my favorite parts here - Hats make things always better... 20 or something shots can be found on Cyclopic Bricks. One thing, by the way: Does this belong here or other themes? There are plenty of similar character build on other themes, with more or less movent. Most of the stuff in this MOC is SYSTEM, but then again Mixels belong to this subforum, too... I'm just wondering this because non-Bionicle/HF-people rarely wander into this subforum and I might get some audience in other themes, too.
  24. Thanks! This MOC rather expanded into "four season personifications" project. I've already completed Autumn lady (will be out this week if the weathers get a bit better) and I'm halfway through Spring - She'll be bare footed and everything and about 90% SYSTEM so far. I have some done, but somehow my focus have been moved to characted builds. Well, I easily could publish a barf or two in near future. It's just that there haven't been so muth good new parts with Simpsons CMF's and all... But let that be the end of the offtopic.
  25. This is Tahtorak, the mothership of Bio-Klaani's airship fleet. The 450-meter steam-driven cruiser was built for cargo transporting, but was recently armed for military uses. The model is also motorized with an old 9V motor. Five rotors spin. I also used those aeroplane engine blocks as gearboxes, as they snugly fit couple of 90 degree gears. The huge 4x14x4 battery box is hidden inside the brown front section. I also photoshopped a few travelling images using Creative Common images. The rest can be seen on Cyclopic Bricks - Enjoy!
