  1. Awesome, great details, colours and "biomechanical" feel. The big goat is my favorite, but I also love the use of Luke Skywalker heads on the goatlings.
  2. I bought Tuth for a friend who still, after several months, has it as his Skype avatar. It's probably the most beautiful thing TLG has ever produced.
  3. Porco Rosso, The Crimson Pig, the bravest of the bounty hunters of the Adriatic Sea. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  4. I like it! The trans-blue mask looks actually quite nice, and the chest printing is excellent. Piston add-on as a back armor is nice surprise. I don't think I'll buy this for 17€ but might pick it up from clearance or used... The mask and chest pieces look good. Nice review too, well done that man.
  5. Nice set, Piedra's double-gun is especially cool. I think Mono is my favorite. Her spear is excellent, and the proportions look great. Hielo's color bloking is good (I like the black boots/gloves) and fur add-on looks nice on the shoulders; I'd probably have usen 3L bone on the lower arm, though.
  6. Sergeant Detritus, succesfull troll officer in Ankh-Morpork City Watch, head of recruit division and the cultural attacheé of Ankh-Morpork. Sergeant needed his muscular chestplate, toeless watch boots and clockwork cooling helmet; He also wields his siege crossbow The Piecemaker, a weapon of mass destruction. More photos and talk on Cyclopic Bricks.
  7. Excellent, liking the colors, and nice part uses - The old walkie-talkie looks great as a microphone. The lower legs seem oddly thick, and I can't really perceive the knee joint, but then again I'm not familiar with the reference material.
  8. This one began with the dress design, and was under construction for three months or so; it was going to be a basic standing figure, but I went for something different and adjusted it for a horizontal posing on some blankets or cushions. More photos and talk on on my newly revamped blog Cyclopic Bricks.
  9. Thanks heaps mates! Hey... Corporal is dating a fabulous goblin lass Shine of the Rainbow! There's always need for reading Pratchett books! Always!
  10. #33: 3 points #16: 1 points #23: 1 points (by the way: Prizes not prices. I often make that mistake myself.)
  11. The old-fashioned backbone of Ankh-Morpork Police force - Corporal Cecil Wormsborough St John "Nobby" Nobbs and Sergeant Frederick Colon. These two are among the most iconic Discworld character, so I had to build them! More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  12. The masked warrior. Inspired by Samurai X minifig print. Wanted to make a realistic armored figure with brighter-than-usual colors. More images on Cyclopic Bricks.
  13. Big thanks everyone! Front page, MOC expert tag and everything! Does it get any better than this? The dome seems to have got lot of attention. As I mentioned on my blog, the usage of windscreens are based on this house by Castor-Troy. I added black tail pieces to make it stronger-looking. It's a giveaway Dublo snail... Just Finnish LUG things. Sorry, not really... Expect the corner building, which has a tile stove in 45 degree angle and the portrait of The Fat Lady above it; the light from the dome nicely illuminates it, but it's difficult to show in photos. The building are very thin, as I had to make them fit into a moderately sized carboard box to take them to the exhibit to the other side of the country... by train. Lovecraft stories definitely fit the same age than these modulars. Probably there's something lovecrafty suspicious behind the House of secret society... At least some cash is changing owner there. Horse drawn carriages were another thing I think I'll do for this, though I might have to expand the streets to make them fit. Railway for old electric trams is another thing I'd love to add here, but I don't have any tracks (except old blue ones) and the curves tend to so wide it might look odd. Old botanical glass architecture is another thing that I like, but it might be bit challening to capture with LEGO, or at least it would take lot of trans-clear.. Atlas statue was one alternative to globe-on-dome, but I went with this instead. Atlas is likely to follow in the next corner building. I think I have to get some more planets. Baker Street 211 was one among ideas for this, but I dropped it for a while; I might return to it in the future. I don't have any instructions, but it's not too difficult: The glasses are 1x6x5 panels. The bars (with telescope pieces, robot hands (bar-clips) and hoses on the top curve) are connected via 1x1 clip plates (horizontal) between the said panels. The black frame full SNOT and connected via TECHNIC bricks, just under the 1x5x5 half-arch (old type) and at the bottom. This arch goes inside the half-arch (they fit perfectly). The window was first thing I built for that house. It took a while to gather parts for three. Here's also picture of the constructions of maid's dress if someone is interested:
  14. The New Century Corner, a display of five modular houses inspired by early 1900s architecture which I love. This was built for a LUG collaborative modular town in Model Expo 2016 that took place couple of weeks ago. From left to right: House of Two Whistling Geezers, House of Two Sisters, House of the Bat-Lord and Three Sinners, The House of Secret Society of Aviation, The House of Golden Frogs. The houses were built by first tablescrapping some interesting bits and the creating the rest of the building around them. That's what I usually do, anyway. The first of the houses (Two Sisters) was built in last November and the last (Bat-lord and sinners) was finished couple of week before the event. I might expand this to a whole block in the future, with four corner modulars and several houses between them. More pictures and talk on the blog.
  15. Thank you! There's this Space Police III mask piece I though of using, but left it off. Don't know why, probably to show the fig's expression more clearly. Hehe, probably I should have used laughing Emmet's face on the driver! But then again they became friends in the end... right?
  16. "Okay guys, this is a cool ride, you can let me down now. Guys? Guys!" We had a large modular town on a LUG exhibit couple of weeks a ago, and had some contests inside the collaboration. This was my entry in the vehicle category. It got the fourth place (with a tie). A gang of car fanatics supposedly saw Fury Road and got inspired. Unfortunately poor Larry ended up in the front. But someone got to do it, right? More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  17. Thank you, everyone! The body's "scales" are indeed Ackar/Meltdown shin guards on a rigid hose and the lanterns are Nynrah Ghost Blaster bellows (Racers bellows are much bigger).
  18. Parade of Chinese New Year celebrators with their fiery paper dragon. This was my entry on happening category in collaborative town display contest on our LUG Palikkatakomo Ry's exhibit on Model Expo 2016 last weekend. I won the category. As a (partially) Bionicle builder, I wanted to use some Bionicle pieces on my minifig-scale SYSTEM displays in this exhibit, and thus the dragon was born. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  19. Simple, nice and silly - Well done!
  20. Workshop for several artists, hippies and so on. Built for house contest on Palikkatakomo Ry's LUG Exhibit on Model Expo 2016. Got fourth place on both audience and LUG member voting. The main idea here was the usage of boats as window frames with those new-ish half-circle. I'm also very happy with the cheese roofs. More photos on Cyclopic Bricks.
  21. It became in some version of Takutanuva sets (Takanuva+Makuta) as Bricklink kindly tells us. EDIT: Ah, Kalhiki was faster than me on this one.
  22. Healer Toa of water working on a reception. Liked clear paperwork. Dislikes being captured on opera house -like battleships for years by other authors. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  23. Many of 2001 sets are legendary, and despite somewhat lacking poseability most of them are very coherent designs; I'd recommend every Toa Mata as they aren't that expensive if used sets are fine to you. Some of the rahi are great too - Boxing with Tarakavas was big part pf my childhood, so grab them if you find them for cheap and have someone to box with... I'd also grab one of Bohrok/Bohrok-kal; their design is awesome, but the are clone sets, so don't be bothered colleting all of them. On more recent sets I'd recommend Toa Hagah, Keetongu, Lhikan&Kikanalo, some of the Barraki (Takadox is must-have) and probably Jaller Mahri.
  24. Thanks a lot guys! I don't think Carrot has a rival. He likes everybody! Yes, Rory the Roman was I thought after adding the dark red cape! I have been thinking about doing some Dr. Who character builds in the future. (Rory is a great character. But everybody likes him, after all).
  25. Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson of Ankh-Morpork. Strong, honest and honourable man with a plain yet sharp sword. An another character from Discworld. Flat silver curved slopes enabled me to make Carrot's shiny breastplate. More photos on Cyclopic Bricks.
