  1. 27) Kendo Fighter Entry (Build by Artizan) - 1 point 48) Ballerina Entry (Build by Pakita) - 2 point
  2. Splendid! It's good to see a church in other color than grey. The HP roof parts work nicely, and the rose window is executed nicely.
  3. This was a rather fast MOC - A task to build somewhat-realistic mace-wielding warrioress. Armor's thick and body build muscular; wielding a weapon like this isn't for the feeble... Dark green and glorious (but rare) speckle-black copper also looked rather nice together. More photos on Cyclopic Bricks.
  4. Great use of Smaug's wings, I think they look perfect. The printed/stickered piece on the bow works also finely. I'd probably rise the dragon's head a few bricks to make the profile of the ship more imposing.
  5. The last build on my Four Seasons project - Foraois, Gel of mellow birch groves, buzz of bumblebees and all-out greenness. This began with a harvest theme, but the birch motif took over - Birch is by far the most common leafy tree species in Finland and Finland is pretty much one big forest. She also needed an animal friend, so I built a little magpie to sit on a finger. More pictures and talk on Cyclopic Bricks.
  6. What a lovely day! Mad Max: Fury Road has been the best film for some time. Here's the two main protagonists from the movie, road warrior Max Rockatansky and Imperator Furiosa. The models are fully poseable. More on my blog Cyclopic Bricks.
  7. Two by two Hands of Blue Hands of blue are two elite Nazorak agents that have mechanical blue hands capable of wiping memories. This build began with the idea of using Inika sword's LED circuit to luminate the blue hands. I opened couple of those swords, removed the electronics and built frames to them. The light is surprisingly bright and flashes dramatically. More, including gifs, on my blog.
  8. Loving the teeth! But the backdrop could be a bit darker hue; Now it looks more like a sky than deep sea.
  9. Yay! Third place! Thanks for everyone, such a great contest, and nice diversity on the winning entries! Will send PM in few minutes.
  10. Thanks, the cape is from Lord Vladek. Hi, thye are green minifig hands struck into the rahkshi skull; I stole it from somewhere else.
  11. General 001, the prime leader of militant Nazorak species. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  12. I quite like the colors and the sword design (lightsabers are used succesfully), but the physiques bug me a bit; Foremost the shoulder line is too flat and the neck is too long; Moving the shoulder connection one stud upwards would solve the problem. I'm not sure about the buttock pauldrons. The silhouette from the back is not bad, but the gap seen from the front doesn't look good neither. I'd move them more to the sides of the hip. The claw piece are used nicely through the build. They create nice shapes, but I wonder if something could be used between them on the upper legs - Now there's a groove where the bone should be on human anatomy. Some minifig weapon piece probably, a Chima sword or something?
  13. Great take on Zyglak! It's nice fow different it is from other Zylgak revamps I've seen lately. The back looks especially good with the consecutive use of shell pieces.
  14. You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools, But that's the way I like it baby, I don't wanna live for ever!
  15. Excellent, liking the rockwork! This reminds me of Dunharrow in Lord of thr Rings. The hobbit hair nest is nice touch!
  16. It's the time of the year when old bearded chap travels from house to house... Stealing the treasures, taking the virgins and killing the monsters... It's of course Cohen the Barbarian, Disc's most infamous barbarian hero! Cohen's 90-something and haven't managed to get killed; Decades on barbarian business have made him tough. He leads his Silver Horde of equally aged heroes and does what he's always done. He's the last old-school hero. This is based on a Discworld character by Sir Terry Pratchett; Especially on Paul Kidby's image on the cover of The Last Hero. More images on the blog! And Merry Christmas to every one of you!
  17. You captured the feel of old building in such small scale very well. I'm big fan of those awnings abowe the rail-framed windows.
  18. Thanks guys, glad you like it! And, of course, Merry Christmas - It is, like, two days (and we're getting some snow, always a nice bonus). Ha, with the hairstyle the man actually looks a bit like 12th, but no, they are just ordinary minifigs. I actually though of adding some Whovian references here, though.
  19. Though so are the most recent Yoda minifigs, too.
  20. Nice use of stacked headlight bricks to make a micro facade for a building. The 2x2 round plate tower is cool too.
  21. Ah, that action feature is sweet! Very innovative. Also liking the poor Gävlean hay goat. I'd made the base a bit bigger though, with some white plates (though this winter doesn't seem to be very snowy so now it's quite realistic).
  22. One of my close friends has had that tooth Mixel as his skype avatar since the first pictures came... Now I'll always associate it with that guy, which is quite scary. So, my first reaction to the poster was that what the hey, what on earth is he doing in that poster... The series 8 is fantastic. The teeth guy and the pirates especially. I just wish they would sell them on my hometown. But they are store exclusives in Finland to particular corporation that has no stores anywhere near.
  23. My entry for the contest: Winter Village Brewery with a pub. Also includes a lorry (for transporting frest bevarages), clocktower/silo for malt, publican's cozy (yet messy) apartment and three old geezers found outside country pubs all over the universe. The back is open like in offical winter village sets, so the interior is playable. I took part on this contest previously in 2010... I hope my building skills have developed since then! More pictures on my blog Cyclopic Bricks. Merry Chrismas to everyone and have fun building your entries! And, naturally, feedback is always appreciated!
  24. Thanks Logan, that first picture makes the set look so much better than the official ones... Hooray for neutral posing! I'm pretty neutral with the torso bone, ain't bad but would have liked it more if the top part was 3 studs wide instead of five, which is quite limiting. The neck shell looks good, though the little fin at the back of the ball joint might limit the movement if used, for example, as a shoulder joint. Is the doogad piece, Axle with pin hole, reddish brown or dark brown (in bricklink colors)?
  25. I'm very happy that Rey has her headgear on. Sure, it would be more useful on MOCs without it. But I'm afraid it would be too useful. I estimate that the fourth or fifth "female character X" MOC using it would feel just very dull. I know it's hard to build good faces with bricks, especially dynamic or elegant ones, but it is possible to come up with some pretty good designs. And definitely more interesting than ones using single, specific piece. I think the headpieces are alright, Finn is slightly better. Both seem to be pretty good parts packs, Rey's cloth thing is especially interesting.
