  1. They are giving stuff away free, so they can naturally give it to who ever they want. They don't owe anything to anyone. It's just an another social media raffle.
  2. Thanks mates, glad you like it! The first one in both categories was Markku Jääskeläinen with his hotel (I gave me three-point lot to his one too). The second in LUG voting was Yubnub's LEGO Store with same number of points than my house but more three-point lots; on the audience voting, the second place went to EB member Jvvv's Night Club.
  3. The last two shots are amazing, great job with lighting.
  4. Help me. Can't... Stop... Building... Dwarves... This one, Balin in his old Erebor coat, was done for a super secret dwarven project with Thráin. I got inspired by the rich color and details of the clothing; dark red is definitely one of LEGO's best colors. The arms are quite posable using ball joints on shoulders and minifig legs on elbows. There are more on my blog. Enjoy.
  5. Perfect. Well captured. Wouldn't have guessed that I'll see a Power Miners MOC on EB today!
  6. This house was built for Finnish LUG Palikkatakomo RY's house contest on Model Expo 2015. It won the third place on both audience and LUG member voting. I was going with jugend style at the beginning, up the house ended up being more neo-gothic. There are no interior and not even floors. There are more talking on my blog. Enjoy.
  7. Congrats, great sets both of you, well played.
  8. Lovely, the colors are perfect, liking the peck too.
  9. This is fantastic. The overall costume is great, but the big flame plume got to be my favourite part.
  10. This is what I call cool. The old dinosaur head looks fantastic, and those talons on hands, very cool. I suggest you to Bricklink a few (hundred) black 2 axles though, they are not expensive. The black axle-pins are, though.
  11. I quite liked Aquagon too. I wouldn't have bought him, but got one from that Action Figure month contest and it stayed built longest of the prizes (the others where Dragon Bolt (aaargh) and Frost Beast (Which was alright). The faceplate is cool and hilarious, and the color scheme is quite rad too. Ah yes, Kazi... He was an oddball. I think the designers felt that they needed something special on him, and that can easily go wrong (see: Matoro Mahri).
  12. I think comparing "real", profit-producing sets with promotional polybags or giveaways is not very essential. Well, anyway... Really, what? Bruizer Brothers? What's going on with the face? What is that knife trying to be? Lightsaber blade function? pls Also, this Mata Nui... I know this one has some fans, but honestly, the colors are terrible, and the proportions... Flat torso, extremely thin waist, and god those arms.
  13. Already commented on Flickr, sweet as always, dark pearl grey colorscheme loosk beautiful with the flames. The "hard lighting" on the photo works rather nicely, which isn't that usual. I actually commented here just to thank for the Sabbath quote; Have been listening a lot of Master of Reality lately.
  14. Yep, this is correct. Thanks everyone. The arms are dead boring. I sort of realized it after taking pictures. There are some hard bits on arms overall, as compact good-looking human hands are pretty much impossible to connect to ball (except HF/Bionicle fists, but they don't look that good and are dull to pose) and there are not very much choices for socket-socket arms; This might sound pretty random, it's hard to explain really, but I feel some others of my MOCs suffer for boring upper limbs, for example, Kira and Alina This might also be because the arms are usually the last part to be built on action figure creations and I might have lost interest by them; and then I just throw together 7-long double socket with some armor and slizer feet and it ends up looking like that. Should pay attention and do something similar to Tawa here, or probably fiddle with Boat stud elbows, even though they are quite stiff and hard to pose.
  15. Good evening fellowe action figure guys, here's the latest Bionicle creations of mine, Toa Nautilda: Toa Nautilda is a toa of water and protector of Ruki-Koro, a fishing village at the south-west coast of the island of Bio-Klaani. She used to work with Toa Ursanga, who later left the village to move north. Nautilda is tall and strong all-out attacker, in opposite to "agile martial arts master" toa of water trope. She has a heavy trident, sharpened flippers, seashell helmet for serious head-butting and a array of knives that also work as a rudders when swimming. There are more photos and talk on Cyclopic Bricks.
  16. Thanks all. Nope, the ones younger than the war (Don't know where they come from though) and the ones that didn't fight. This MOC is from Klaanon universe, which is a huge Finnish Bionicle-ish novel project. We have ditched a whole lot of Bionicle canon stupidity. For example: Deconstruction: This to Bionicle itself. When it's not a Reconstruction or an Affectionate Parody. Specific examples; The story examines how Skakdis' genetic alterations to bloodthirsty warriors and centuries spanning conflict would do to it's society, the after effects of Toa-Dark Hunter war, how something as evil and eldritch as the Makuta would effect on people and why Zyglaks' hate Matorans (and pretty much everyone else) as much as they do. All of this tend to paint Skakdis and Zyglaks a more sympathetic light, in contrast to how the canon potrays them as Always Chaotic Evil.
  17. Guardian is a veteran of Zakazian civil war and one of the four three leaders of asylum organization Bio-Klaani. He is a skilled warrior who uses zamor revolver and trustworthy "Watchman" plasma rifle. Guardian lost his left eye in the civil war and now has a multifunctional scope instead. The first version of this MOC was posted in 2010. I've revamped this character several times, and this is the newest one. Somehow this guy is pain to pose and photograph (double joints in the legs make their lenght vary a bit sometimes) but these ones turned out pretty well. There is more on my blog. Thanks you for vieweing.
  18. Lovely, great shaping with basic bricks, and the face looks really good: I really like the eyes and the beard.
  19. Great work. The Witch-King looks around perfect with the trans-clear head and the crown piece. The rooster is a nice addition, too. I wonder if Gandalf should be riding Shadowfax, but then again there isn't really suitable grey horses around.
  20. Last Thursday, 12th of March 2015, world lost one of its greatest writers, Sir Terry Pratchett. This creation is dedicated to his memory. Mustrum Ridcully, the Archchancellor of Unseen University, is my favourite Discworld character. This creation was result of two days of intense building, beginning with the beard and finishing with the hunting crossbow. There are more photos on Cyclopic Bricks.
  21. Cute creation, liking the shaping of the iceberg. The Icebreaker seems quite eccentric, but no wonder if it's piloted by a walrus. I'd probably add a bit foam at the ship's hull at the surface. Trans'clear bricks should work fine.
  22. Very cool vessel, I especially like the colors. The olive green boiler adn the gold accents look really nice.
  23. Truly great work. The wooden parts are top notch. Nice work with the stone pattern too.
  24. Ah, the best CCBS Pieces. There definitely are some real gems... which are always gorram hard to get because Bricklink sellers don't seem to bother buying HF sets for sale. Well, anyway: This piece is great for unusual shapes and is great tool on making beefy characters; Works also well on more organic figures. Examples include Toa Korpraun and General Killjoy. Honorary mentions go to its blockier cousin and cool Chiman nephew. Many people dislike printed shells but I have always found some of them very attractive: Then again those asymmetrical Hero shells are pretty much useless. On stranger parts, I've always likes this one: But then again... Complex mold, comes in one color, comes in one set. Duh. Great possiblities for shoulder armor and differently colored belly plate here, but no, only Drilldozer got this one. And now the new Bionicle sets have ol' good gear function on the back, I doubt we'll ever see this baby again... Probably SW figures could use them. Nine on Bricklink, by the way. On less exciting but even more useful pieces these are nice:
  25. Neat, the wings look great in that vibrant green color.
