  1. That is very upsetting! I don't use the stickers in sets, but I can understand that this is not good. I would contact LEGO first as stated. Maybe someone online has a scan of them and you can print them out yourself?
  2. ^Maybe you did "send" it, but the system didn't read it and it never got sent. I've had emails like that. I know I clicked the button, but there was no indication that I ever typed anything. But since it resolved so quickly, that shows the seller does check messages regularly, so it somehow didn't get sent the first time. Kudos to them.
  3. That's funny. Oh LEGO and their secrets... Good thing I'm not interested in that theme, so I don't have to worry about any excitement.
  4. Well, no wonder people are upset about the size. It has 000 pieces! But seriously, it is a bit small. I realize, that might lower price point, but most people don't MOC. I'd think they want to sell a playset as their first goal. If people see MOC potential, that is on them and will buy more as they see fit. Some of the colored pieces may work for something else, but I will pass. Granted I pass on all CITY/Creator stuff, outside of WV and Modulars. My daughter really liked the bike shop though. Someone brought one to a LUG meeting. It looked decent, but I can think of a lot of other things to spend that kind of money on.
  5. The builds looked pretty immature, which seems to be the same trend everyone else is seeing. The figures could be good. It makes sense they would use bluecoats this time. Interesting that they came out with the CMF revolutionary soldier (which makes a perfect bluecoat), so they will probably have yet another torso variant. Hopefully they can look okay together. It is interesting in the one cheaper set they used the old bluecoat from the 90s, but in the other sets, the bluecoats were just a blue torso. I think the ship had a fancier bluecoat torso (which might have been Barbossa's). But still, interesting they used the first blue coat torso design, but then didn't use it for ALL of the blue coats. Maybe more than 1 variant of a blue coat?? Edit: Now I wonder if me buying 17 revolutionary soldiers was too much...
  6. Definite must buy on the whole theme. I haven't done that yet, but 2015 seems to be the year for it. Tons of new characters and possible variants. Overall I think 2015 will still be a cheap year for me, but DC and Pirates are leading the budget breaker.
  7. Thanks for the review. Definitely a must buy. I could see army building him. I picked up a lot of elf hairpieces on bricklink a while ago, so this can fill the void and I can take away from my Mirkwood army. I actually don't care for the Spartan helmet. I tried that on Haldir and the golds are different. IF they were the same, it'd be better. But I like this armored Elf variant. Is that a pearl gold cape???
  8. ^I had the thought to use them in Rivendell maybe?? Some nice fantasy colors in this theme. I will pass on the figures, but there are a few sets that might be worth picking up.
  9. I assumed they would raise prices to have a new standard price.
  10. I was taking about the gondor figure above being too detailed. Lego figures don't have that much printing, especially on the lower legs. It wouldn't fit in. A little bit of printing on legs works, but I think this is too much.
  11. I always enjoyed reading these interviews. Gives some nice insight to other people's techniques and whatnot. There are a lot of great builders out there. I don't know how they do it!
  12. I've considered doing that, but I think they look too dead to re-use anywhere, especially the King (captain). The sand green helmets and pieces are great though.
  13. The problem with them isn't the price. I think they are overly detailed. They won't fit in with the rest of the line. Even though figures are more detailed now than they used to be, this is still above them! But the cost is a bit high for what I'd want too.
  14. I think if you wanted to showcase the MOC, you would show more pictures than just a link to the Ideas page. In other words, I am saying I'd like to see more pictures to look at the details better. That tiny Ideas picture isn't helping me want to vote for it.
  15. Neat idea. I'm just now working on my first castle, so this will have to wait, but I like the idea of a more social scene instead of just a giant stone structure. The buildings work well together. The roofing looks great too. Keep up the good work. You should just buy more bricks to make it modular
  16. Neat idea, but pass. Kingdoms joust just came out a few years ago. I picture LEGO taking a break away from castle related D2C sets (which this is the size of that). Maybe a tiny set like this would work for Ideas. All of the background build makes it too identical to Kingdoms Joust and thus wouldn't be produced (in my opinion).
  17. I thought the topic was asking head/hair + torso details all in one piece. As in the wookies and watto for sure. Most of those other people are just heads/helmets that happen to run in front of the torso, but don't include the torso details themselves...
  18. Well, Bricklink and LEGO use different color names. There is a chart on Peeron that shows what every website calls them.
  19. ^The elf is a CMF from last December time-frame. And the Toy Soldiers are from the CMF book.
  20. Interesting concept. Being involved with eyes myself, how do they not dry out? They are basically mucosal membranes anyway...
  21. I thought the Ent in Orthanc was Treebeard . He's a tree with a vine beard..
  22. I would not see them doing Minas Tirith, even if the line was successful and still going strong. Orthanc was simple. Big tower for the bad guy. Open back for play features. Good display piece. But Minas Tirith would have to be Helm's Deep scale probably. So they could certainly do it, but it wouldn't have the same appeal. Granted, if they released a MT in a Helm's Deep scale, people would snatch it up. Especially after the long wait and worry of no more sets... Although, I could have pictured it more like something simple like the courtyard above with the white tree or something. I'm not quite sure on play features, but fans would have recognized it. But it wouldn't include everything people wanted like Eowyn. Maybe a flaming Denethor to throw off the top?
  23. ^I didn't know they quit making them. I always considered buying some, but they were too expensive for me at 5$ apiece. Back on topic, I think my interest is waning also. I want to buy them. I like some of the prints or accessories and the aftermarket prices for some of those pieces can be ridiculous. But I typically buy the series, then throw them in a box together and never look at them again. Including Simpsons. My daughter loves them and she would be around the target age (a little young at 4), so I guess I keep buying for her. Although I want to keep it as a collection instead of a play toy..silly me.
  24. I'm guessing it is a Friends animal. Probably in the polybag series.
  25. I meant halfway chance of hitting 10k. I highly doubt it would ever get made.
