  1. I want trying to argue about market street. I ask more than okay not discussing that set. I just don't keep up with this post after every build so I put my comments when I did. As for fire brigade, it was my first and probably my favorite because of it. The promotional material does have a cat in the tree (I assume the cat from gg). Interesting how they link them together.
  2. Why does the site require my address?
  3. They did. It's called Orthanc...
  4. Too many to name. (Not in order) Dark orange Dark red Dark blue Olive green Sand blue I'm seeing a theme here
  5. ^I thought two small cups would actually hold more than the large cup because they aren't tapered like the large cups. So by stacking two small cups on top of each other would actually hold more contents since it would be the same size at the top and bottom, unlike the large cup that is smaller at the bottom and tapers out on the way up...
  6. ^This. I haven't paid attention to the new series. I only bought the sets to get the main figures out of nostalgia. I love animated shows as much as the next guy, but not necessarily a kids show. I don't see myself getting into it anytime soon (also since I don't have cable, kind of hard.)
  7. I still have mine sealed, but this is neat seeing it in the brick. It was a good choice of minifigure to make, but terrible availability. I'm glad I picked one up with the game.
  8. Thanks for the review. When these were available I tried picking up as many as I could. The main problem was limit of 4 per order (since they didn't have them in stores near me). But he looks great and I love the colors. He even looks good with a standard silver metallic kingdoms helmet.
  9. I don't know much about this figure, until I read things online. But I love Batman so I definitely want to pick this up. But those prices are ridiculous. Thanks for the review. Someone in my LUG got all 4 exclusives and the exclusive sets at SDCC...I always thought they were one per customer, but I guess not.
  10. I don't picture this working at all. LEGO needs time to plan sets. If it wasn't already planned, it won't get put into production now. But since I want more LOTR, I'd be willing to sign if it helped. I just don't see it happening...sorry to be negative.
  11. That's really neat. We are doing a huge city layout for our LUG show this fall. Each member is building their own block and we are going to put it all together. This looks like it would fit right in. I like the color scheme (I'm building a mini Hogwarts castle).
  12. That's very odd considering the machine that puts the hands on the arms should only have access to the color hands for that figure and not anything else.
  13. LEGO takes time to produce waves of themes. If there was something on the pipeline I'm sure we would know about it. US complaining to Lego about it won't change anything. If it wasn't in production already, they can't snap their fingers and make it so, just because we are upset. Especially at this time of year. I thought I read that more lego is sold in December than the rest of the year combined or something...
  14. Nice little vignette. I like the placement and the window build. I really like the yellow arms with dark green cape and Rohan helmet. That is a nice looking combination. I hadn't thought ot us, but I haven't been following Mitgardia too much. I joined Avalonia originally because of the color scheme, but I am more interested in Mitgardia as time progresses. But yellow arms stand out against the licensed skin tone. And I currently have Obi Wan's head with that hair, but I was thinking of changing it to that head to rough my guy up a bit.
  15. Thanks for the pictures. Again, the figures look outstanding (as always). I thought LEGO was a building toy, but I guess it is a minifigure collectible now. The build looks okay, better than expected anyway. I do like seeing those arches in tan, although I don't know what I'll use them for. Maybe in my Rivendell build? Although white is still probably preferred. It is disappointing how they handled this license. Whether it was the movie production company or LEGO, someone dropped the ball big time. But then again, I haven't felt like the movies were that good either...sad face. But the figures are worth having.
  16. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing. I like seeing the sizes of them and in flesh. I prefer licensed skin tone, but I didn't want to take the time to change out all of my heads and hands for my kingdoms armies... The colors work well together though.
  17. I agree, very disappointed in how they handled things. But maybe kids just didn't like the line so it didn't sell well. I will still have some super hero sets to buy when this is over, but my drastically lower lego budget this year will drop even further next year then...
  18. True. Every theme has to have its weak link. It was smart of LEGO to get theirs out of the way so early on.
  19. That was a good looking project. If that is what it takes for LEGO to take LOTR seriously, then I will gladly lend my vote.
  20. Thanks for the input. I assumed as such, but I didn't know what the specifics were that people had set up. I do enjoy reading the stories and looking at the builds people create.
  21. Does Avalonia have anything more northern, not quite Mitgardian, but snow cover? I have had zero time for GoH since I first joined (I think on day 2 of the announcement!) but I have been interested in building as of late (the rare moments I find to build). But I've been watching Game of Thrones too, and I really got interested in Winterfell and a more snow covered area, without it actually being in Mitgardia since I joined Avalonia originally. Just thought I would ask. I know I'm so far behind in the actual storyline and don't know what is going on currently. But I like the community that was created with this and I wish I would have had more time from the start.
  22. Nice little vignette. I assume you used lighter colors for the quick movement. I was puzzled at first thinking it was some sort of sorcery that was actually holding multiple people in the appearance of just one sleeping person based on the color change. Hobbythom - And the sleepyhead is probably from the Sleepyhead CMF figure.
  23. Very neat build. Very fitting. I like the architecture very much. The scene is crowded, but not busy (or the other way around). Whichever way it is, it is a compliment . Is that CMF beard for the ambassador a custom or custom painted? I only remember it coming in black. Very inspiring build though. I shall look again for tips.
  24. Nice little build. Floor is interesting for sure. I like the candles too. I like the idea with the helmets and guild sigils..but I was unaware Avalonia was the Stag, I thought we were the Dragon? And I didn't know Mitgardia had Falcon as their sigil. I have been out of the loop for a while though.
  25. I was finally able to watch DOS last night. It was more entertaining than the first installment, but still not as attention grabbing as LOTR...sad face. It was nice to see how spot on LEGO got a lot of prints. I'm still puzzled at how they saw dark orange for Gundabad orcs when they looked dark tan to me (like all of the other orcs). I'll be interested to see how the new sets stack up against the actual movie too.
