    Yep :-) Looks good so far, but I really recommend to redo the chassis with liftarm frames to get a more rigid structure with less connectors ;-)

    Can you estimate the weight of the whole vehicle? I got a little time on the weekend or next week to look for a mechanism.

    Ok this is gonna be even more difficult... Your whole construction is a little fragile, you use many small connectors and not many rigid elements like liftarm frames. Have you tested the suspension, if it holds all the weight? I would place the motor in the middle and use a chain drive for one of the big sprockets. Driving the small sprocket would be nice, but may lead to skipping of the track.

    Ok I get your point. I just gave my concern that this contest will end up with big, good looking spacecrafts without any functions... :-/ Even I as a vehicle guy, would prefer a contest without wheels/tracks/legs, as this would be something new (aside from the GBC ;-) ), so thumbs up for spacecraft !

    Hopefully we get a part limit so the common rule (biggest model = win) doesn't apply :-P I think (and said it before the start of the GBC) a part limit or size restriction encourages more people to participate in contests. 2000 parts or something like that? We already had a discussion on how to prove that one hasn't used more parts, but I think most people will stick to this rule as a gentlemens agreement. Maybe we can force to post an io or ldd-file for some very big models which may be over the given limit and getting them checked by the community.

    Question: Do you intend to lift the vehicle up with the tracks and drive it or just use em for visuals? The mechanism you are using isn't exaclty what I meant, plz look at the scheme again: There are 4 rigid rods/liftarms, the movement itself (and therefor the linear actuator) has to be attached to this mechanism. Do you have an .io file of your model? Maybe I can work something out...?

    I'd be very curious about the torque vectoring, too! Expecially how it's combined with the steering motor. Just a littel question: Why did you use the new diff in the front? Doesn't seem that you have any problems concerning space....?

    Did you already test its functionality? The front attachment point of the pneumatics for the bucket tilt seems strange, like it is designed that it can compensate different extensions of the cylinders...?

    Guys, it's easy to settle: If it still has the number 42146, it's been delayed/pushed back. If not, then not :D

    Dito. Only reason for the limited steering could be that the test audience (kids 7+) tipped the truck while steering too hard, so they limited the steering for bettter playability... Strangely, as a kid I remember loving that some toys had such great steering you didn't have to back up for tight corners.

    It's a normal 5L liftarm, not 2 1/2 studs with axle hole at ends ;-)

    It would be held by a normal 2L pin on the steering rods end, but not on the center. And yes, it would be unstable, but still, I don't see the need for such a specialized part just for 1 solution...

    This surely is a new connector, but couldn't it be done with a combination of these pieces: Wouldn't be that secure, as the axle is not secured as a pin, but do we really need a new part just for that solution? I'd be far from saying Lego designers are uninspiring or lazy, but to make a new part for every little thing is kind of odd.

    This thing is brilliant! It looks superb in this scale imho. Functions: - Tilting and angling of the front blade - Tilting of the rear And it has rubber wheels on the back to get the tread rolling, really clever!
