  1. Oh, so you say we have narrow rims with better mounting point than standard? This is great info to be honest.
  2. You can test my instructions as well. Some of them are free, but for sure all models were build and tested in real life. There is video for every build, also comments from people who built it, tested and they were happy.
  3. Look beautiful, especially when reduction is included. How about the cv joint work flow when angled in maximum range? We know CV joints do not like working on max angles.
  4. It looks like good part pack (after discount ofc), but let's see the inventory first.
  5. For me (apart from technical part and functions which are always important to me) the fact, that such a small MOC can still look as good and be so close to real counterpart while still built almost only from technic parts. Truly amazing. This is the skill I would like to learn.
  6. Looking forward for next time we gonna see you at LTTC :> In case of the model, great performance, we all know snow is problematic. I'm sure your machine will outperform standard LTTC participants in case of speed thanks to RC motor :D
  7. It seems couple of you didn't like what I wrote about diffs. But hey, having diff with possibility to lock them when needed is even better way to recreate real off-road vehicles. And having them doesn't mean forgetting about other very important features like high ground clearance, suspension with large range of motion, low center of gravity, construction which allows good angle when approaching/leaving obstacles, proper tires and many other things. I would say it is hard to call truck a really off-road machine, if it cannot lock diffs. But locked diffs is not a game changer if other important features in your truck sucks. Nevertheless it is very important feature and I would say, a key feature of off-road machines. That is why I'm mentioning this (not because it much easier to build an axle with no diff than with diff :D). And if your track can be easily beaten just by adding locked diffs (or no diffs at all) then I would say, it is not very difficult track :P BTW diff with lock can be build even in very small scale, if you are interested, here is one example, 6x6 truck in 1:23 scale, diff locks in all axles ;)
  8. I like the looks of vehicles and track itself, but having open diffs in off-road machines? C'mon....
  9. Hmm here I think is more informative video and also comparison with trucks, which were actually built as trial trucks.
  10. I hope you get good results during competition. Please let me know, if this type of angle connection (12T + 12T, used in 6x6) is strong enough and doesn't skip under load.
  11. This is question to judges, I'm not one of them. But I think, if you will use Lego original motor, and Voltage will be known, so power can be counted, then it should be fine.
  12. Krxkion took part in "open" category. Original Lego motors are required to allow us to have possibility to be able to fair comparison between machines. Scale is fine, please have in mind, we are driving mostly trucks. In case of power source, we can use Lego battery boxes, buwizz, mould king, cada, as a transmitter sbrick is allowed as well.
  13. The regulations are quite extensive, so I will only mention the most important ones: based on real life vehicle with GVM = 3,5 tones and more scale 1:12 - 1:14 same type of suspension as real counterpart (tatra's type, independent, live axle) same number of axles as real counterpart same number of steered axles as real counterpart all wheel drive model must be RC cabin consistent with the real counterpart, with floor, 2 seats, steering wheel, gauges drive powered by original Lego motors (no restrictions related to steering) only Lego tires or model allowed by judges (most of us using RC off-road tires 96mm Tamiya CC01) any "rescue" systems are forbidden tracked vehicles and tank steering are forbidden
  14. Not gonna lie, this edition was hard, no question about it. There were no truck without rollover :) But to be honest, not all editions are like this. We also have tracks on much more flat terrain, with some bridges, narrow corners, sand, with some slopes here and there but without so many pointy rocks everywhere (example of such more flat edition below). And on such track I am sure your current model would be more than enough. But the plans you have, especially the first one related to ground clearance, I'm big fan of. The trick is, to have big GC and at the same time, center of gravity located as low as possible.
