  1. Sitting here with the parts spread out in front of me, I have to agree with most others, fantastic set, very impressive part selection for sure, especially for a giveaway. I also noticed the other builds in the front of the instruction book, pictured in other post. From the looks of them they will just sit right into the book, like the swan scene included with the set. Does anyone know anything at all about those other scenes, will they be future giveaways, for sale or something else. I would very much like instructions for them, even though they look pretty easy to do from just the pictures. Well time to enjoy the build, fabulous set I would have easily paid $30 for this set, I know it is valued at $19.99 though.
  2. @sed6 Good to see you and others are really happy with the new upgrades, as well as me. Still I wonder if you still see those things if you are using a computer, since I don't have access to one and if those items are purposely omitted for phones.
  3. Just out of curiosity, what sort of battery would react so violently to moisture, I want to make sure I never purchase any of that type, scary stuff.
  4. @RedBrick1 you may have some luck finding the color match of felt material by checking out what billiard table suppliers have to offer. When I worked at a pub they would re-felt the tables and I was always surprised with the large amount of choices they had.
  5. The only way I can peruse the forum is with my mobile device, having said that since the upgrade I no longer see ranks, post counts or badges. Did the upgrade eliminate these or is my phone just not showing everything.
  6. A yeah, sounds like an educated guess for bragging rights to be the first to leak news of new sets. But hey bring it on, tell us all about them JC.
  7. Cool, is this an improved version of your previous boat or a totally new beast. If i remember correctly you were having some issues with the last one with the props and power delivery.
  8. Yes I like this set too, nothing special but I will sure be getting it, I need those tires and bucket mostly but I still think overall it's a decent value and build.
  9. Cool chess set I do agree though, put the higher ranked pieces on elevated pedestals. I also think the pawns should all be the same. More importantly turn the board so the white square is to the right of the player. I would say with a few more improvements you could make a good set a great set. Good job, brick on.
  10. Not sure about that reasoning, there are 3 small TLBM sets that combine with each other and they all have Batman.
  11. Indeed it will, I have on occasion crammed a bar into a pin to increase it's clutch power.
  12. I know it's Technic and you want to be able to see all the functions but does that exposed engine look weird to anyone else? Also looking at the LAs they seem to be nearly fully retracted on the front box art, meaning the boom is nearly all the way down, you would think it would have the ability to go full horizontal for transport. Not trying to nit-pick still think it's a great set and value, definitely will be getting it, just a couple of casual observations.
  13. Me either, says currently unavailable.
  14. Kind of nice to see all this info in one single post though, makes it easier to check out, thanks @Robin_IV
  15. Yes and when attached, at the top of the shoulder, there is a decal that makes the canister look plugged in with some gold piping going to the mechs hands. I see that now thanks. Wonder what the three different colors are meant to represent now.
  16. I am a big fan of clear shoe-box sized bins with snap-on lids. Cheap, under a dollar usually, see-through and stack-able. I have at least 15 of these and if you further separate parts in clear sandwich bags, very convenient.
  17. Worked out pretty good considering all the thought and pieces required. Just think it looks a little odd being slightly pushed up, although it does seem to add to the shaping of the bodywork. Trade-offs we just have to deal with in LEGO technic. If the client is happy then all is well, sometimes they just don't care to pay for things to be done right. I get this in my remodeling business all the time, the customer can only see dollar signs and cuts corners everywhere possible, resulting in a substandard product occasionally. Anyway I do like most of your creations and always look for solutions for my MOCs in yours. Keep up the great work.
  18. Looks good but as others have noted, that tape. The doors looks a bit odd to me as well, like they are bent on the hinges to lock closed. Still like it though just looks a bit rushed.
  19. Sorry to sound repetitive but yes, WOW what else to say for first response. Incredibly well done, just looks perfect in every detail. Especially like that you stuck to 100% LEGO solutions with regards to the wheels in particular. The track base turned out really good as well, I can tell a lot of time and effort went into this moc and the pay-off is simply amazing. She does have a rather sad look about her though, not sure if that was intentional or not, still great job as usual.
  20. Good job on the mods @jono rocky might even try the dualie mod myself. Something about that bullbar I just don't like, can't really put my finger on it though. To bulky, wrong color, not ideally positioned just not sure. I do think it is a great set for modding, mine is actually in a heap of sub-assemblies now, working on simple RC controls without changing the looks.
  21. Good to see you get it worked out and also find out I'm not the only one that occasionally doesn't necessarily get it right the first time.
  22. Man that is one hell-a-climb to the top, good to see a loop is doable though.
  23. Funny, I am probably one of the few who are dissapointed to see NK discontinued. I always found them to be great parts pack for not so common elements both Technic and System.
