I guess that is possible, same as you not especially knowledgeable in that area, I do see you are in Indiana like me. (Indianapolis) Still getting them though, albeit not constantly, still only this site.

Pretty cool, how do you make the legs bend like that? Remove them and pose them next to the figure?
-
So I count 10 track sections of 4 varieties, 4-90 degree flat curves, 2 top of rise, 2 bottom of rise and 2 change of grade sections, no flat straight ones. Is that what others see?

Grum's Shed
Johnny1360 replied to grum64's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I do so know that sickening feeling you get when a large assembly hits the floor. When I was assembling the Saturn V, putting the last panel on the second stage, I guess I used a bit to much force and literally the thing exploded in my hands and parts shot in every direction. I'd say you where a bit lucky that arm pretty much stayed together. Good luck in the future and brick on. -
Great to see a review while the sets are actually new, thanks As far as it being a TRU exclusive, I saw it at Walmart yesterday, so at least in my area it is not. (Indianapolis) This is one of the sets I may get, will wait for a discount though.

[MOC] Trophy Truck
Johnny1360 replied to P3T3R's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Not bad at all for first MOC, I do think it would look much better though if you move the rear axle back 3 or 4 more studs. Also welcome to EB. -
Yes and I feel strangely like acquiring all I can get all my grubby little paws on, quite unlike me really. I think eventually I will have both Coaster sets. Also the track pieces do indeed seem to be in a few of the other sets.

Yes, that looks better, although I still think it needs some links or torsion bars to strengthen it up a little and help keep everything in place while Baja'n. That is an interesting steering solution you have there, I might have to "borrow" that idea. The way it slides instead of pivoting. Edit; Are those red shocks hard or soft?

I have never even considered buying any Friends sets, although I have eyed them occasionally for parts, however after seeing the new race car oriented sets, I have to say this may change, actually looking forward to checking these out. I know they aren't Speed Champions calibre but I still kind of like them.

Interesting concept for sure but to be honest, I can't see that suspension working very well, the drive shaft would push the axle forward as the suspension compresses, that's where CV joints come in handy. Also at the very least you should rotate one of the U joints 90 degrees, so the slots are on the same side of the axle. Looks like it could use a couple of links for stabilization as well. Anyway good luck and brick on.

[REVIEW] Wicked Brick - 75192 - Millennium Falcon Stand
Johnny1360 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That seems like a pretty good stand, I really like the minimalistic approach of it. Thanks for reviewing this @Jim. Someone should point this out to the employees at the Lego store. -
Hate to admit it but I am guilty of this one. I have only owned 12 vehicles in my entire life most of them were Chevys but I have owned a couple of Fords.
-
Not really a Lego peeve but it is Lego related. People signing up to the forums just to resurrect a six year old topic and say "nice moc, you got instructions" and then never post again.
-
Fantastic, I like. Seems like all the best bits are hidden away under the hood. Really like the way you have worked out the steering system too. Badass engine as well, even for a four banger. Good job on the cab interior as well lots of detail, well done indeed. What rims are those by the way? Also are those crankshaft pieces used to achieve the half stud offset in the lower A arm?
-
Yes, of course I am aware of that, the same way that Legos doesn't sound right, thanks to Lego Groups evil marketing department and attorneys.
-
Shouldn't it also be Bricks Headz instead of Brick Headz, I mean after all, they all have multiple bricks in the head build. Kind of like the Teeth paste, Feet powder thing again.

I have to say the 2018 Speed Champions are some of my favorites of the series so far, only have 5 of this year's sets though. As much as I like them though, I am glad they don't really make more each year. It's great to be able to complete a whole series every year of a theme, without having to buy 20 or 30 sets a year or more.

Lego Jedi Interceptor 75038 wing angle problem
Johnny1360 replied to EggomyLego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No, I guess the stop is that first Technic piece you showed where it hits that yellow sloped piece. I would say make sure all those bricks are seated properly. Also it appears, by looking at that bottom view, the wing on the pilots left or droid wing, is not all the way clicked into that hinge, it looks as though it is pulled away from the fuselage slightly, which would cause that wing to droop down more. -
Lego Jedi Interceptor 75038 wing angle problem
Johnny1360 replied to EggomyLego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Did you by chance remove the two pieces, one under each wing, that prevent the wings from folding down past a certain angle? I can't quite tell from your pictures. -
Yes I have done all those things several times over. Checking daily for updates and applying them. Multiple Virus scans with three different Virus removal tools. Malware blocking and removal apps, cache clearing software as well as manual clearing. Also blocking ads and pop-ups. The only thing that is working is disable javascript. Thanks for the suggestions though, I really feel I have done all I can. Edit Also I only visit at most half dozen websites regularly, none of them even slightly questionable.

Found a workaround for anyone interested, had to disable Javascript for this site, of course I can't watch any videos now, oh well.

Nothing for 3 or 4 days, then bam way worse now, 4 or 5 different ones now. Had to literally log in a dozen times before I could finally post this, Nevermind just trying to read other posts, after 30 seconds I get one of those redirect phishing scams. Still only on this site, I guess since I am the only one affected, there is no reason to fix it.
