LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Johnny1360 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Picked up Hans speeder at Target Friday, man I love this speeder. They had the other sets as well, they were not with the other Lego though, they were two rows down on the end. So I almost missed them. -
This will be me. Some good parts in there. If this happens, I will personally give away my extra Minifigs to any Harry Potter fan that feels they got slighted.

Yeah, just got a good look at the first four sets and thought, the dinos look good the builds are okay but man are they sparse parts wise, think I'll wait for the hype to die down before I pick any of them up.

Yes it is a bid odd, I guess never really thought about it. I have not seen The Lego Movie, The Lego Batman Movie, or any Lego movie for that matter, also never watched anything Marvel or DC, Ninjago, Nexoknights. I did watch one Star Wars movie, like 30 years ago. It's just not something I enjoy, watching movies. However I do have many, many sets from all those themes and then some and I enjoy all of them, lots of great Lego sets. I know this isn't necessarily normal, just the way I roll. Hopefully this will not have too much of an impact on the HP fan base, if so I apologize. I do promise to open the set and build it.

Then there are people like me, who haven't read any of the books or seen any of the movies, nor do I plan to, yet I already know I will buy at least one of the sets.

Sets with large sized extra pieces
Johnny1360 replied to Johnny1360's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Funny I did exactly that, though didn't have to totally disassemble the truck to figure it out. Received a extra Flex Axle Black 16L with my latest set 42078 Mack Anthem, can always use more flex axles, yay. -
Seems like many people are unhappy with the lack of dualies on this truck. I have noticed, in real life though it is more and more common place to see new trucks with the single Super Tires, around here anyway, Indianapolis. So I guess the lack of dualies is alright, to me anyway. Having just finished building this set, less than a week, I already have the urge to rebuild it into something else. Which is really strange for me, usually keep sets together for a couple months, anyway. So I am enjoying seeing everyones mods.

The one feature I would really like to see is a true luffing crane, although it sounds highly unlikely, considering what is being said about gearbox.

And I thought it was to represent a small satellite dish, for communication and location information, Foolish me. -

[REVIEW] 42077: Rally Car

I thought it was pretty cool, in that last Go-cart set, even if it was only two speeds. -
LEGO Ideas Discussion

While I do agree with you on this one, it does look much better than the large gray triangle, currently warming store shelves. I did think of buying it, but only as a parts pack, it's a little more than I care to pay. Hoping for a clearance sale soon. I would have preferred this one though. At least it has a bridge and engine pods. -
Yes I have, just checked again to be sure, I too am using Android 7.1 with default Chrome browser, thanks for the suggestion.
-
Yes indeed making the site a real pain to view, much less even post. The thing is, they don't even qualify as advertising, just phishing scams, hard to believe this is acceptable practice.
-
Ah, okay that makes much more sense then, thanks.

Please pardon my ignorance, I am slightly confused, is the Creator Expert roller coaster and the Pirate roller coaster the same set? I just can't see that Pirate coaster being $300.

Exactly, also vehicles, now it seems it is considered bad form to infect Lego with "other" toys.
-
Don't get me wrong, I think Minifigs are great but I certainly would have bought that set without them. I had hundreds of toy Soldiers, Cowboys and Indians and yes even a few Knights in that size and smaller. Most kids did back then, they were only a couple of dollars for a hundred. That being said I think adding Minifigs was a good move on Lego's part, don't care much for the sets that are all about them though. If someone else likes them though great, I don't buy those sets, there are plenty of other sets for me to choose from.

Well it's worse than ever, now it's become impossible for me to even navigate this site. Took 15 minutes to even get this posted. I am even running an active malware blocker. CCleaner, Malwarebytes and up to date anti-virus still just getting over run with phishing scams, only on EB site. I am at a loss, any suggestions would be welcome. As of now I just have to avoid this site. ?

I like this one more than your first one, very original idea, looks good. Now you just need to make one with them singing in a karaoke bar.

I thought they said "On shelves August 1" has something changed? -
Thank you, appreciate you taking the time to check it out, I know 99% of the time, it is an issue with a person's computer or phone, not the site, especially when nobody else seems to be having the same issues.

Amarktflow.com known phishing scam, it does have a SLL certificate from UK, been around for about 4 years. Since I have verified it is not appearing on any site other than this one, it is highly likely that is an allowed pop-up on the part of EB.

Unfortunately phone is all I have, it is Android 7 point something though, totally updated. Also I have went to great lengths to insure I have no Virus, malware or intrusive apps. So I this point I just don't know what the problem is. It does only happen with this site only and it always the same two messages, a Walmart or YouTube survey. It also just pops up at random times, not just when a page is loading and often just continues to pop up repeatedly.. Also when I click back to get rid of it I go back to previously viewed page. Just feel like I have done all I can on my end. Edit; Using Chrome as my browser, going to try Ad Block Plus browser today. Edit 2; So had it pop up about 10 times used ABP browser no pop ups. They all seem to originate from a amarkflow.com address.
