[WIP] Transparent yellow turmeric dyed Lego windshield

Great results indeed, looks like the real thing. I do wonder how permanent it is and how it would look on solid colors. -
Technic 2019 Set Discussion

Okay, from the looks of the rotor blades, it appears to be about the size of a city chopper. I didn't really expect a huge one for that price or piece count but that just seems tiny. Edit: I do like the looks and it might be good parts pack. Also glad to see the tail rotor actually spins when the main rotor does. -

Perhaps they are just leaving room for improvement, I mean if they they released the ultimately detailed figure with perfect armor and accessories, what would be left for the future. So true We can only hope, that sounds very likely. I really am looked forward to the UCS set(s), I am not in too big of a hurry though still have quite a few other sets I want get as well. -
I think your second version is much better and looks really good, if anything though those letters that spell out library just don't look right.

Technic 2019 Set Discussion
Johnny1360 replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
They probably want people to buy the bigger sets for Christmas, that were just recently released and well stocked in most stores rather than have to scramble to stock the smaller sets and risk shortages and disgruntled gift buyers. Of course this is just my spin on things and I have no actual knowledge of such things. Personally I am glad either way as I have only managed to buy two sets from the last wave, the forklift and the autonomous loader, so I am in no hurry for the next wave. -
Seems to have worked out fairly well, maybe only a little fine tuning necessary. It always amazes me that when I see something like this, it makes perfect sense and appears easy enough to implement, yet when I try to design something like this myself it just ends up being a pile of megablocks. Thanks for the video, I think I will start with a 4 speed version for my newest moc as that is probably all I could fit into it, I am trying to keep it somewhat small.

Or if you qualify you could get the, older that dirt tag.

Yes I can see where a higher center of gravity could be disastrous for a loader but would benefit a dozer. -

Interesting point as many large bulldozers use the triangle configuration, why I'm not sure, although I suspect it maybe to get the final drive up out of the mud, to reduce wear and tear and offer better traction. Again unsure what the reason is but it is possible those conditions don't exist for a loader, or possibly in the future loaders will be done like that as well. I guess it could have to do with center of gravity, weight distribution or something of that nature, making the machine a more efficient digger. -
Good grief man, you have made your views on this build abundantly clear, why oh why do you persist your harassment?

Yes an endless cascade of new members asking for leaked picture links or PMs is so much more exciting. -
Looks good, I am a sucker for batman helicopters though, still I do like how this turned out. Reminds me vaguely of the one from 76054 Batman Scarecrow Harvest of Fear. I thought that one was pretty cool too.

Tribute to Stan Lee - your favourite minifigure
Johnny1360 replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There is no way I could just pick one from all the great ones Stan created, such fond childhood memories of reading comics under a blanket with a flashlight at night when I was supposed to be sleeping. He was truly gifted and made superheroes interesting to read about for me. -
Looks very good, the sails from this year's Technic boat appear to be about the right size although admittedly wrong colors, maybe use them as a pattern for homemade sails.

Yes doors or hinged panels, okay electronic components that control the machine, probably supposed to be batteries I guess. Anyway you mention in your review how cool they look only to be covered up and only visible by peering through cracks. That was the only reason I asked about the doors. As far as the prop hitting the stalk I can make it do that if I bend the stalk forward but otherwise all propellers spin freely. I have heard others complain of this as well and it puzzles me why I have no such issue, even to the point of triple checking my build with the instructions.

compressed during transport ? degraded quality ? or fake ?
Johnny1360 replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As I have said in the other thread and others as well, if you can use it on your skin then it is safe for LEGO. So yes mild dishwashing detergent is safe for your LEGO. Also rubbing with a non-abrasive cloth is okay as well. -
LEGO Technic Rainbowgatti

This is cool as well as the other ones. To me though it makes the Bugatti look not so good, I do appreciate the effort that goes into creating it also but I sure do hope this doesn't become a thing with TLG and remains a fan mod. -
Now that was funny, mega quote. Edit: Having reread the review I see that @Jim states with some dismay the computer parts get covered with panels never again to be seen. You do realize of course those panels are actually doors right? Also you say the propeller hits the eye stalk, I think you may be improperly placing the drone or you have inadvertently placed the crossblocks that it rests on incorrectly, mine had no such issues. I bought this set with some reservations, don't really care for it's looks but I really needed the tires and bucket, after building it I actually like it quite a bit. Thanks for the very well done review Jim.

Don't think it would be a leak, since all the sets are up on the LEGO site. Maybe it is though.

I have noticed all plates bow slightly, most noticeable with the longer ones. They bow towards the anti-studs, that is the anti-stud side will be concave and the stud side will be convex. It is just the nature of the beast and due to the very design of LEGO. Edit: added for clarification, if your bricks or plates are more than slightly bowed or twisted, as I described above, then by all means they are defective and you should seek a refund or replacement. I was just trying to say a little bow is okay, if not normal. A picture would help. -
Pretty cool, supported. Eerily similar to what I am working on currently albeit a bit larger. Hope you don't mind if a borrow some of the body shaping ideas.

Isn't that the rather small scissor lift thing? Hope to see it soon, I am always a fan of the small simple sets, mostly because I find them more affordable.
