  1. Lovely, I think it's a first for me, my dream women for sure. Tastefully done as well, good job.
  2. Damn, saw this bumped up and thought there was a progress report. How about it @supertechnicman any updates or have you gave up on this, I know you said it would be a multi year project, just hoping you haven't thrown in the towel.
  3. So what exactly is the teaser, a picture of some random blokes? I don't get it, not even the slightest hint of what it could be or what it does. Thankfully I am a patient person a can just wait and see.
  4. Good grief, nothing short of fantastic, tall as a house and actually functions. I am impressed and now I know why I am having a hard time finding yellow lift arms.
  5. Well I would say, if that picture is from where your inspiration is drawn from, you have pretty much nailed it, good job so far. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
  6. While it is a beautiful creation indeed, I wonder why a tow truck would have a sleeper unit. I do feel like the sleeper should be a bit taller though and the stacks maybe not so tall. Just not sure the proportions just look slightly off to me. Other than that all that chrome is gorgeous, Chrome rims would be the shit.
  7. 1: No 2: Yes, if I was into Unikitty, which I am totally not. I actually consider the various robots and dogs to be CMFs as well if they are in the character lineup on the boxart, even though from what I understand, most don't. So if someone wants to call their Unikitty figures CMFs, I honestly don't see why they shouldn't, not could I care less.

Is this a question or a statement?
  9. I kind of like what this set offers and will definitely be getting it. Thanks for the review I was on the fence about it, but I just can't pass up the printed pieces, the dog, the bike and those figures all have a home in my city. All that minus the shoe shine stand is currently available with set 60154 Bus Station plus you get a decent electric hybrid bus to go along with it. It's a good set I recommend getting it on sale if possible. You also get 2 bikes a wheelchair 6 minifigs and a dog.
  10. Well done review, enjoyed the read. Not sure why I have so much dislike for this set though, I guess because it looks like some kind of creepy beakless penguin escapee from a Stephen King horror movie. Not cute to me at all. The mechanism is cool though. I fear if I had this on display it would haunt my dreams.
  11. Anyone that has this set, 75933 T-rex transport, quickly notices that the truck has a very poor turning radius. This can easily be fixed by simply replacing the red 2L beam with cross hole, that is on the trailer and connects to the tractor fifth wheel. Just remove it and replace with the 3L version. Honestly don't know why LEGO didn't do this to begin with. Much improved turning radius and the truck maintains its original look.
  12. Ah what a pleasure to peruse the forums without having to wade through bucket loads of spam, looks like its working. Many thanks to those who spend their valuable time making it possible. Keep up the good work and thanks very much. Not enough can be said for the people that make this a great forum.
  13. This chart should prove to be very useful and should help save time experimenting with different colors for water. Thanks for taking the time to do this and post it.
  14. Time to X-ray all those unopened sets.
  15. Got bored and built the B model and I have to say I am glad I did. I do like the forklift however I dare say the tow truck is every bit as good, enough so that I will probably buy another set. Surprisingly there were very few parts left over from the A model, 50 or 60 and I really like the way the lift arm functions. Anyway anyone on the fence about buying this set should get it, good parts and two good models to build.
  16. So these will be official 60th anniversary LEGO sets available only from Brinklink? With limited availability, these should become some highly sought after sets.
  17. I really hope I am not stepping on any toes here, but to me it seems a bit fishy to vote for someone else's project just because they vote for mine, regardless of the quality of their idea. Though I do applaud the effort to support worthy projects and bring recognition to the standouts.
  18. Funny I am hoping just the opposite.
  19. Indeed it does, thanks, I have never seen that part before. Not to hard to believe though, only been out of my dark age for a couple of years now since the early 70's.
  20. So cool very well done, just spent the last 30 minutes drinking it all in, I just can never get enough of marvelling at the many ways of using different parts to achieve the final design. I do recognize most of the parts, I just can't figure out what was used to make the fingers. Great model and I am sure the band will get a kick out of seeing themselves immortalized in LEGO.
  21. Literally as Doctor prescribed therapy for an ongoing medical condition. Not specifically LEGO Technic, that was my choice but it was a good one and I am quite glad I did. It has worked very well for me and will probably be doing it until the day I die, sometime in the far off future.
  22. I would think any number of the mixel ball joints would work quite well. What sort of scale to you want to build?
  23. Incredible it just keeps getting better and better. You have invested a great deal of time and energy on this thing and it really shows. A true masterpiece that will surely go done in the history books. Not sure why but I am glad to hear you swapped out those cut plates for actual wedge plates. Looking forward to seeing the finished product, as I am sure you are also ready to wrap it up and move on. Though you will have a hard time ever topping this beast.
