The Victorian Dream Home by buggyirk HMB-73 Honey Rumble Exploration and Mining Mech by windblade73 Castles Through Time by AussieBrickster Airplane Falco by Paolino_1982 Here are two other Castle themed Ideas projects that utilize the same Creator/Modular concept, something @x105Black would also be interested in. 8-in-1 Magic Castle by JPLC78 Modular Castle by J3B8P7
  2. Do you remember where you may have seen these? Were any of them bricks that have been shown off on this topic, and maybe do you remember what year these patents were filed?
  3. The deadline for the Second 2017 Ideas Review is this Monday, September 4th. There are about four projects which have about 9000+ votes at the time of this post, with JKBrickworks's Pop-Up Book at the top with 9725 votes currently; so hopefully we will see a few more projects make this review before Monday's deadline. https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/a6448002-072f-4f9f-8c86-0a04e150bafe
  4. Maybe Nexo Knights and Marvel SuperHeroes? Personally, it would be cool to see a four pack that could be supplementary to the standard line of CMSs, not introducing any new molds, just new recolors of preexisting parts much like how this TLBM four pack has done.
  5. I wonder if we will see some sort of set top this one's piece count next year, much like 2008's Taj Mahal did a year after the previous UCS Millennium Falcon was released. But trying to top 7500+ pieces... I don't know, but for me, it seems silly for the Star Wars theme to again regain the distinction of hosting TLG's largest set yet. But then again, there is probably no other theme that has a customer base that would be willing to pay that much for a set.
  6. How about a two by three version of part no. 43710 and its inverse 43711 (both pictured below); that is, a stud shorter counterpart of this pair of slopes?
  7. Thanks a lot for that information @whitswj! This would mostly be speculative, but I wonder if any of these unreleased parts are copyrighted by TLG. I guess though that would only come after the part is green lighted for production. Then again, does TLG patent every part they introduce?
  8. Found them myself, and yes, they are well designed. Lloyd of course comes with a nice pair of green Brickheadz eyes, something that may be useful for other Brickheadz MOCs. It's also nice to see the theme take a direction not entirely focused on popular IPs, even though I'm sure Ninjago will eventually fall into the public sphere of conscious after the movie.
  9. It's great to know we are finally getting that printed Bat-cowl head, now I'm wondering if is a black mask printed on a flesh head or a black head with flesh printing. If it is the latter one, it would work quite nicely for a purist Red Robin. By the way, have retailer exclusive minifigure packs ever come with newly recolored minifigure gear? This pack comes with a white recolor of the Utility Belt, a light blue recolor of the Bunny Suit headgear, black recolors of the Roman helmet and shield, and I think maybe the pink basket is a recolor.
  10. Cute! Your usage of the motorcycle rim for his breathing apparatus works quite nicely, and I really like the ray gun. Keep up the great work, I'd hope to see many more of your retro sci-fi creations!
  11. I have a question regarding many of the non-production parts seen on this topic, particularly for @whitswj and @1974. Regarding never produced "all new" parts (not non-produced recolors), do all or any of these pieces have part numbers molded on them? If so, would you think it would be a good idea have these parts 3D scanned and cataloged by unofficial database sites such as Brickset? Something like that would be great, since unofficial Lego CAD softwares would then be able to adopt the digital files for utilization on their programs, giving AFOLs a chance to virtually build with these parts.

  13. Of course, this beauty has been been blogged by The Brothers Brick. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2017/08/29/join-john-d-brickefeller-ride-lego-1935-duesenberg-sj-dual-cowl-phaeton/
  14. I've seen a few BrickHeadz submissions on Ideas recently; but the thing is, I believe that they are not considered acceptable project content by Ideas since they are deemed contributions to an already existing theme. They sort of fall under the same rule that CMS submissions sit under, or any collectable line/theme centered project for that matter.
  15. That's really a shame, his work is amazing! I myself bumped an old topic of his that included both LDD reconstructions and complementary instructions for the work of Sky-fi builder Jonhall18 since the instruction links were defunct. But I didn't realize how inactive he was. I second this!
  16. This is very nice, I love this build's hood construction and the shape of its sloped grill!
  17. Thanks for pointing that out @LegoMonorailFan! I was nearly ninja'd for making the same point. But hey, I actually didn't know that about the canopy for awhile also until recently.
  18. Yeah, there are two pages, but I'm not sure where to find the image now. It was one of the last leaks posted by a particular Instagram user before it was pulled, and I just checked both Reddit and YouTube but to no avail. Everyone was all over all the other big name leaks such as Star Wars, DC Comics, City, etc; but I know, there was not much discussion nor coverage of leaks of themes such as Friends and Creator.
  19. In a interview with LiveMint, Bali Padda again affirmed TLG's interest in Asian markets, not only citing China, but his home country of India also. http://www.livemint.com/Leisure/WFc9uHuGlemkqdVoENBT3J/LEGOs-Bali-Padda-The-strategic-builder.html
  20. Well, perhaps Lego should just introduce a broad Space/Historical/Action/Adventure conglomerate theme, made up of at least seven sets per year based upon self explanatory storylines with no need for any tie-in media. The sets wouldn't necessarily be interconnected, just standing alone portraying easily understandable situations and scenarios. As far as Juniors go, I really hope to see a Classic Space themed set, which would potentially give us perhaps some new Trans-yellow canopies and maybe some newly colored Classic Spacemen. Juniors did give us a Castle set in 2014, and a Pirates set the following year, so hopefully something space related will be on the horizon in a few years. OK, this is way off topic, perhaps someone should start a Juniors 2018 topic for further discussion?
  21. That is a rather interesting possibility, didn't some Ultra Agents villains appear in the Ninjago TV show? For that matter, have either the NK or Ninjago TV shows ever cross-referenced each other? This makes me wonder, if indeed NK decides to incorporate any elements from the Ultra Agents theme, could that be used as a transitional plot element to lead up to the introduction of a new action/adventure theme? Given Ultra Agents focus on cross dimensional hijinks, perhaps that is a possibility, or maybe it will be used for the introduction of a crossover theme of some sort.
  22. I know this may seem a little off topic, but, is anyone concerned about the Juniors theme being consumed by licensed properties? I know that for the most part, the theme does nothing for most AFOLs, but about eight of the nine sets for it in the first half of next year are IP based. Three are JW2 based, three more are based on the Incredibles 2, and both a DC and Marvel one to top it off. With only a single set based upon the Ninjago TV show, this theme seems unfortunately reflective of TLG's product lineup in recent years. Bottom line, there just seems to be too many IP based products making up Lego's yearly lineup now.
  23. Here is a walkthrough of the Making of TLNM book from YouTube, and I have to say, it's a beautifully done book; but beware, it contains potential spoilers.
  24. Lego Looney Tunes. If there was an animated franchise that could make for a CMS of characters all using new, specialized head molds, this would have been a much better choice than the Simpsons. But hey, who knows. Perhaps we could see the franchise make a presence in future WB Lego Cinematic Universe films.
  25. There are many viable options for future MCU based D2C sets, such as the SHIELD Quinjet, the Guardians' Milano, the Hulkbuster suit, etc. But, putting viability aside, it would be really cool to see some of many HYDRA vehicles featured in Captain America: The First Avenger as UCS sets, particularly Schmidt's Coupe in a Creator Expert scale. But for that matter, any of Hydra's many, Dieselpunk-esque vehicles would make for amazing sets, UCS or otherwise.
