There also won't be any DCEU films in the way, with December 2018's Aquaman being the only exception. -

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, it sounds like so far that the D2C will be a Wayne Manor. Personally, I was hoping for a complementary Gotham City modular to pair with Ninjago City; but a manor may be a fun set. Whether the set will feature any part of the Batcave has yet to be seen, but there are many rooms in the TLBM depiction of the manor that could make up the set. Take this guided tour for example: -
Wow, these are all beautifully done, simple and clean! Of these eight locomotives, the Mallard, the Tornado, the SR King Arthur Class, and the "Flying Sausage" are probably my favorites!

The Future of Ninjago
Digger of Bricks replied to Master_Data's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Here are two ideas I have some new Ninjago storyline themes for future waves. The first would be a mecha themed wave, focused on a invasion of large, grotesque dragon-like kaiju plaguing the land of Ninjago. So to combat them, our heroes go face to face with the beasts in titanic, Jaeger-like mecha. I know, it's practically Pacific Rim, Ninjago style; but hey, it would be cool right? The second one's antagonists would be...space aliens. This wave would feature above Earth space battles between oriental styled starfighters piloted by the ninjas, and extraterrestrial craft of a black, H.R. Giger design aesthetic. So, why not do a space themed wave for one year, especially if a traditional space theme isn't viable at the time? -
LEGO Rundown- Are All Themes Connected?

This whole multiverse interconnectivity element may be interesting and all, but what I want to know is... Will we ever see a Multiverse Lego play theme in the near future?- 18 replies

Ah, I see what you did there with the breathing apparatus for Bane. Nice! By the way, where are Hal's dual molded arms from? They work quite nicely. -

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

Well, strangely no, we don't know yet who will be the villain. Here is Geoff Johns' confirmation of that. http://screenrant.com/dwayne-johnson-no-black-adam-shazam-geoff-johns/ -
From the same THR report that informed us of the Obi Wan solo film, they reported that Lucasfilm (a.k.a. Disney) are also looking into doing solo Yoda and Boba Fett movies. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/obi-wan-kenobi-star-wars-film-planned-director-talks-1030505 And if that wasn't bad enough, Lucasfilm is also looking into doing...a Jabba the Hutt movie! What future LEGO Movies would you like to see happen?
Digger of Bricks replied to Realshow's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I'm really itching to hear what this The Billion Brick Race movie is all about and who it will feature. Will it be characters from the preceding cinematic movies, all new characters, characters from old themes not yet represented in prior films, or a combination? Well, as far as an Adventurers movie goes, I at first dismissed the idea as not really a possibility; but come to think of it, perhaps such a film could be done. As opposed to simply titling the film "The Lego Adventurers Movie", maybe instead its title would be something along the vein of " Lego's Johnny Thunder and the Peril of Count Ogel". A title like that would communicate to general audiences that this Lego's take on the globetrotting, archaeological Indiana Jones adventure genre, since a title calling back the name of the film's source material would be too vague and obscure of a reference for most movie-goers. On a side note, if WB actually went forward with such a movie, it would be great if they could voice cast Australian actor Hugh Jackman as Johnny Thunder, which would be a most appropriate choice!- 97 replies

Creator and Creator expert wishlist
Digger of Bricks replied to Ondra's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It would be cool to see a large Tron-like, Cyberpunk motorcycle done as the basis for a three in one Creator set, perhaps priced around the $50-$70 range. To give the bike Lightcycle-esq wheels, perhaps it could come with some transparent recolors of wheel part no. 88517, capped off on both sides with dish part no. 3961 to leave only the transparent rim of wheel exposed. We have seen that wheel part come in two other transparent recolors before, once in Trans. Light Orange in 2016's 70316 Jestro's Evil Mobile, and twice in Trans. White in both 75040 General Grievous Wheel Bike and 76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier. There is a great E-Type Ideas project by Ozzyeatingbat that at the time of this post stands at 9100+ votes with 456 days to go; so perhaps if considered, it may become a reality. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a7efcb7d-d74f-4e89-8352-e8a863f86f6c Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post, but are you implying that you don't have great expectations for the non-Expert Creator theme? -

That Wolverine mod looks great, especially with usage of the dual molded legs and arms! By the way, you sourced those dual molded arms from the S12 Dino Tracker, right? Never thought of that if so, great idea! Dang, you're right! Perhaps Lego could potentially reuse the piece for him in possible future JLA sets. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Digger of Bricks replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I just watched his review also, and I am extremely excited to see that the Trans-yellow canopy in the set is stickered! For Star Wars fans, that may be a disappointment; but for Classic Space fans, it makes it a set they actually may consider buying from the theme! By the way, just2good also has done a review of Kylo's TIE Fighter if anyone is interested. -
The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
So, @just2good has gotten his hands on 75176 Resistance Transport Pod; and guess what, the Trans-yellow canopy is STICKERED! Edit: On the other hand, the Trans. Red windshield part from 75179 Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter is printed according to @just2good's set review; but hey, the prints actually aren't that bad, I think they will complement well with a SP1 MOC.- 991 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, the Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters retailed at that price, so I wouldn't say its that much of a stretch. With the second wave of TLNM sets being released in December, and the third TLBM wave rumored for the same date, I think that D2C release date could be plausible. Maybe @just2good could confirm/debunk this? Edit: Apparently, this user said the catalog image is fake because of its usage of an already debunked image of the USC MF. -
It would be really cool if you made a rocketcraft MOC for the S17 Retro Spaceman, perhaps in his uniform colors of Sand Green, Dark Bluish Grey, and Flame Yellowish Orange (as you can tell, I'm a really big fan of that CMF).

Does anyone think we may see another smaller scale action/adventure theme (Aquazone, Agents, Adventurers, etc.) in the near future; or if anything, it will instead be another "big bang" theme (Ninjago, Nexo Knights, Legends of Chima)?

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
With the DCEU Shazam movie slated for April 2019, I could see us getting a Shazam Mighty Micros set for that year, perhaps also an Aquaman one after the release of the December 2018 film. -
How about an international search and rescue subtheme, revolving around a response team conducting missions to rescue survivors of large scale catastrophes such as tsunamis, earthquakes, avalanches, volcanic eruptions, etc.? Lego did have something like this for Town in 1998 named Res-Q, though it was a rather small scaled theme. Though I know the nature of such a subtheme sounds dire, Lego could perhaps find a way to lighten such elements, incorporating a more positive spin on it. I have an idea for a Studios subtheme set I would like to add. Movie Studio Starter Set (a.k.a. Monster Vs. Battle Mech) Would be priced around the $10-$12 range, feature four minifigures and various brick built studio props and camera/audio rigs. Minifigures would include a camera operator, a sound technician, an actor in a Dark Azure/Dark Bluish Grey S9 Battle Mech suit with Bright Orange visor head print, and an actor wearing an Earth Green recolor of the S5 Lizard Man CMF. Brick built props and equipment would include several varying four to five brick high skyscrapers, a green screen, a camera on tracks, and a microphone on a pole.
