  1. DIESELPUNK! My gosh, this has elements of soooo much! Including the 1930's sci-fi rocketcraft and streamlined locomotive inspirations you mentioned, this creation fits very well within the dieselpunk subgenre of Sky-fi, an absolute favorite of mine! Excellent work, I just love it!
  2. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lucasfilm is developing a Obi-Wan Kenobi solo film with Oscar-nominated director Stephan Daldry (Billy Elliot) in talks to direct. http://screenrant.com/star-wars-obi-wan-spinoff-movie/
  3. Say, how about a Technic set of NASA's Mobile Launcher Platform with a Space Shuttle?
  4. Well, here you go. Eurobricks user @ChristopherLee has submitted a very nice rendition of the locomotive to Ideas just four days ago. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/9f3d760f-7f73-47d5-adf7-caefbb9c8951
  5. Brickset has a monthly article series showcasing noteworthy Ideas projects, and their latest one featured two that had caught my attention. The first one is this unique CS styled Space Pod by JonathanLoo, that even comes with a chromed Classic Spaceman. The second one is this brilliant concept by mkalkwarf named the Kingdoms Modular Castle Creator, which so far has gathered more than 2000 supporters. Unless he is already aware of this project, I'm sure @x105Black would be most interested in this one.
  6. Now something like this could be utilized for a 1 by 1 tile. I remember I while back ago on this topic, @MatthewRC had proposed an idea for a triangular 1 by 1 tile, to which some had said this would have absolutely no clutch power. So a dual molded one could create the same desired cosmetic effect without introducing a new piece. With parts that have dimensions as small as that, dual molding could be applied to them if ever needed.
  7. The theme's twentieth anniversary is next year, so if there ever was a more opportune time for Adventurers to return, hopefully 2018 will have something in store. As long as Disney's brigade of Star Wars movies marches on, I really do think that the Creator theme is our only hope for Classic Space at the time. Aw shoot, did I just paraphrase Princess Leia?
  8. OK, I just looked at those slopes again of yours, and yeah, I mistakenly thought they were the ones @1974 had I'd pictured in my initial post. That's actually a great idea, if you put two together, the seem between them creates a split windshield look!
  9. I've also shared this on the DC Super Heroes Wishlists topic, but I think a RC DCEU Batmobile would be perfect for the Technic theme, more so than as a System constructed set. Its angular, sharp design aesthetic seems to me to be a better fit for Technic than for traditional System bricks.
  10. Would it be too wild to wish for the Technic theme to start making more sets based upon less realistic source material, such as mecha? Now I'm not talking about stuff like Bionicle or Ultrabuild; but instead, we would see more larger, mechanically complex builds inspired after Japanese mecha and such. These sets could even somehow incorporate Power Functions. Other than mecha, I think a Classic Space styled RC moonbuggy with suspension would be cool.
  11. Here is a well done review of 21310 by New Elementary that gives a great part breakdown of the set. http://www.newelementary.com/2017/08/review-lego-ideas-21310-old-fishing-store.html Edit: The Brothers Brick and The Brick Fan have also done their own reviews of the set. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2017/08/17/lego-ideas-21310-old-fishing-store-review/ http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-ideas-old-fishing-store-21310-review/
  12. Most likely not, but it would be cool to see a large, Expert series set of the LEGO House opening next month.
  13. The Brothers Brick has their review up of 70620 Ninjago City. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2017/08/14/lego-ninjago-movies-largest-set-70620-ninjago-city-review/
  14. This, especially when you consider the growing trend of Hollywood movies that actually gross more over in China than in America domestically. Here's a pretty good article from 2016 that chronicles this trend. http://screenrant.com/hollywood-movies-made-more-money-in-china-than-us/ I never thought of that, but don't you think that at least such a line would be made available internationally through Shop At Home?
  15. Hmm, that is interesting. I mean, why else would it feature a Lego Speed Champions endorsement, other than the possibility that there is a set rendition coming down the line. Hey, nice find by the way!
  16. Well, WAG's Scooby film was scheduled for 2018, but it was reslated for 2020 a few months ago. http://screenrant.com/scooby-doo-movie-release-date-2020/ Hey, I forgot about that creation, isn't that Mark Stafford's (a.k.a @Nabii)? As far as Johnny Thunder goes, 2018 will also be the Adventurers theme's 20th anniversary, so I almost feel we could see a new theme mid year maybe.
  17. It's from 2014's Hero Factory Rocka minifigure. Yes, it caught my eye too, since it sort of has a retro spaceman/rocketeer quality to it.
  18. OK, after two requests, "None" is now an option and multiple choices are allowed.
  19. While I would absolutely love to see the Tron Legacy Light Cycle actually pass review, I really don't think it will happen since Disney has seemed to have given up on the franchise. So, playing it safe, I voted for the Medieval Watermill, which to me seems to be the best unlicensed option. But, that was my reasoning when voting for the last review's guessing game, choosing the 1950's Diner as the most plausible possibility.
  20. This is concept art of the MCU Captain Marvel suit tweeted by Andy Parks. http://screenrant.com/captain-marvel-movie-costume-concept-art/
  21. Had anyone heard about this before? Apparently, @just2good said in this video at 1:15 that there was a Deadpool centric set to be released in 2015.
  22. I hadn't paid close attention to the final results of the last contest, but I'm surprised that the S17 Retro Space Hero will be in October's game. But really, no other space CMFs carried over to the next?
  23. I've recently been obsessed with the prospect of a Pacific Rim theme being considered by Lego, something that I personally could see being done as a Ultrabuild constraction theme. While I think that would be the most viable route for the IP, ideally, I'd prefer a traditional System based constraction line. This theme would be made up of sets each featuring a single twelve to sixteen inch Jaeger and a statistical, UCS styled display plaque with minifigures of the Jaeger's two pilots. Along with the original five featured in the first film, a followup wave could include the Jaegers seen in the 2018 sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising. As far as Kaiju go, they could be made, but all I'd really want would be the Jaegers.
  24. Sweet and Sleek! I'm really liking the quad headlights on the front of this, and the cockpit is tightly enveloped in there! By the way, do you consider this creation a GARC?
