If you sort out all the GWP availability complaints from the suggestion comments on Brickset, the two particular standout requests seen both there and on The Brick Fan are for Creator Expert modular companion mini sets and exclusive Star Wars minifigures based upon characters not yet seen in minifigure form. Though this inquiry is asking about ideas for a single GWP set, there was this one novel idea someone on Brickset proposed for a monthly series of CMF-like polybags each containing a single CMF derivative designed minifigure per month, somewhat similar to the figures seen in this year's fourth Bricktober pack and the Iconic Cave promotional set.

YIKES! It's as if Star Trek's Enterprise was beamed into the grid of Tron Legacy! I really like the shaping and style of the ejecting ship up front. Seriously phenomenal work!

"Hammerhead V" Steampunk Sharkship by Delusion Keeper Citroen DS by maximilien171 Jeep Wrangler by TOMOELL Search & Rescue Spaceship by Mukkinn Clockwork Station by OrientExpress (a.k.a. @Elysiumfountain) That's pretty cool, it's nice to see a Classic Space themed project pop up on Ideas every now and then. That one in particular reminds me of a Classic Spaceship creation I attempted quite a few years ago but had never finished, specifically in the way the wings are sideways constructed.

Hey @PawpawBuilder! Not sure if you are still around, perhaps you're working on a Ideas project currently; but if you are still looking for a great idea, here is another suggestion. A favorite subgenre of mine some AFOLs are known for building within primarily is Sky-fi, a subgenre of the broader Cyberpunk derivative known as Dieselpunk. Sky-fi mostly revolves around fantastical propeller powered fighter planes, with its best known mainstream example being the early 2000's Xbox game Crimson Skies. One of the most praised AFOL builders of this subgenre is British builder JonHall18, who had even submitted a near successful Ideas project based upon his most popular model. Here is a Flickr gallery of mine of some of my favorite creations found around the site from various builders for further inspiration. Digger of Bricks Sky-fi Favorites

Creator and Creator expert wishlist
Digger of Bricks replied to Ondra's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hey, I was just thinking about this topic; it certainly is nice to see it bumped again after all this time! I just saw Eurobricks user @castor-troy has bumped his Steampunk Paris modular display topic with a final picture of the entire layout, and I had thought how a Steampunk themed modular building could make for an impressive Creator Expert set! Many people had described the design aesthetic of this year's TLNM Ninjago City as being inspired by the Cyberpunk genre, so a Steampunk inspired modular could be an equally exciting set! -
I first saw this contest initially hosted on Allen Tran's The Brick Fan posted two days ago. Thinking it was exclusively hosted there, I proceeded to share the article in a topic I started on this subfourm. Just yesterday though, I saw the same contest ended up being hosted on Brickset also, so I suspected it would eventually be hosted here too. So although I've shared my ideas on The Brick Fan's post, perhaps it wouldn't hurt to share them here also. I personally would love to see a Sky-fi fighter plane done, inspired after the work of JonHall18 and Fredoichi from Flickr. While JonHall18 builds primarily in minifigure scale, Fredoichi is a particularly good builder of the genre in a micro scale best suited for the type of set being inquired about here. Anything Steampunk inspired would be incredible to see, since it is a genre we have not seen TLG touch upon much. Also, the Dieselpunk genre offers some great source material for inspiration! Mecha, particularly inspired after the Jaegers of Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. Perhaps a miniature remake of a iconic set from one of Lego's Classic Space themes of the 1980's or early 1990's. There was that one excellent miniature rendition of the Galaxy Explorer done in 2015 for DK's Great Lego Sets, but I certainly wouldn't mind another miniature take on the set again! Speaking of space, I would really love to see a retro rocketcraft set inspired after the spacecraft of the Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon comic strips of the 1920's and 30's!

Apparently, TLG is also hosting the same contest on Brickset! Have Ideas for Gifts with Purchase? Does anyone know of any other fan sites this being hosted on?

This topic's discussion has now shifted over to Lego Ideas' latest "gift-with-purchase" contest, as named in the topic's current title. Details for this contest are presented in this topic's fourth reply. The former title of this topic was The Brick Fan's Future Gift-With-Purchase Contest from Lego's CET. OK, this pretty cool. The Lego Community Engagement Team is asking readers of Allen Tran's The Brick Fan to offer up ideas for some future "gift-with-purchase" sets. Here is the article and quoted details below: Lego Looking for Ideas for Future Gift-With-Purchase Items

Pertaining to another recently unveiled D2C set, this Brickset article thinks we may now know what the next potential fairground set will be, perhaps for next year! Rollercoaster!

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
This Brickset article also thinks the rollercoaster track in this set may be foreshadowing a potential Creator Expert fairground rollercoaster for next year. I certainly hope it will be chauffeur Alfred. -
We certainly could use a lot more Trans. Purple canopies. Come to think of it, yeah, Trans. Purple could pair nicely with Black/Earth Blue. That was sort of the color scheme of the Ultra Agents antagonist Antimatter in a way.

Questions for Creator Expert designers
Digger of Bricks replied to Jim's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Has TLG already reviewed the content of the interview? -
For Disney, definitely not in 2018, which has been confirmed by various sources to be slotted up by TLBM S2 in January, S18 in May, and a Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts one in September. Now nothing has been confirmed for 2019, but with The Lego Movie 2 and The Billion Brick Race being released in cinemas that year in February and May respectively, the January and May CMS slots most likely will be filled up with CMSs for those two films. So, that just leaves us with September 2019 as the earliest possible date for such a CMS. But the thing is, we have yet to see a year without a "regular" CMS, and I don't really know if Lego will ever forgo a year without one; so the September slot may be filled with that instead, pushing a potential Disney S2 to January 2020 at the earliest in that case.

Nope, you're right! Shucks, that just totally escaped my attention, I do wonder now if they were made in mind for this set or something else. I'm thinking these track parts are going to be used in a potential Creator Expert rollercoaster set for next year to complement the past three fairground sets.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, I certainly wasn't expecting to come home to this. Nor was I ever expecting this rumored Wayne Manor to be a Joker-ized one either. It is though a very well done, easter egged set with plenty of fun details, the portrait swap and "Forever Sorting" reference are two particularly fun ones to see. Also, the brick built Joker text and opposite side clown head are really impressive in their construction. As far as minifigures go, have we ever had dual molded White/Flesh Tone arms before, the ones seen on FaF Robin that is? Many of the figures are also giving us some interesting new and recolored cloth elements, such as Bat-Robin's XL scalloped cape, FaF Joker's coattails in White, and three dual colored White/Gold capes. By the way, does it seem like Alfred's scalloped cape is shorter that the usual one? No, I'm pretty sure that they are new, along with the Lime Green railcars that pair with the track. Like you, they were the first thing I saw upon seeing the set images. I do think that these track parts were not made for this set in particular, but instead, they may be utilized in a potential D2C Creator Expert roller coaster set next year, to go with the three D2C fairground sets we have seen so far. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I wonder what's up with the purple haired one on the right? Very Exo Force like. I see also that both variants are donning Kraven's fur collar piece in white, which is rather interesting. -

Ohhh, nice and chiseled! The Lime Green accenting works well in place of Trans. Neon Green.

Over the weekend, the film had made only $10.1 million outside of the US; but still, given the cultural inspirations behind the Ninjago theme and its tie-in movie, I wonder if China can eventually help this movie pull through like it has with some other particular films in recent years. Here is a good article from Screen Rant chronicling this trend. 15 Hollywood Movies That Were Saved by China at the Box Office Good grief, I sure hope not. I mean, I liked The Lego Batman Movie, but it was just a Lego movie in name only; and if we were indeed to see more IP based cinematic spinoff movies, I would unfortunately expect WB to take the same, brick-limited story direction with them.

Earth Blue and Black? Sure, but I certainly would be disappointed the accenting translucent color were just plain old Trans. Black instead of a more colorful choice.

SPACE THEMED CREATOR SETS!!! Seriously though, what has happened to that interview Technic mod Jim had with the one Creator Expert designer back in late May? -
Dang, that's an awesome, detailed suggestion! Definitely better than the one that I had suggested earlier, and I like the inclusion of Jay's scarf in White!

OK, this has got to be one of Brotherhood Workshop's best Brickfilms yet, and probably one of my newest favorites! Done for YouTube channel HISHE (How It Should Have Ended): MICHAELHICKOXFilms is not a particular favorite of mine, but in the past, there have been a few films of his that have caught my eye that I have watched which were both cute and clever. But yeah, some of his more recent offerings are quite weird and just plain awful, particularly two of his more recent Spiderman films. Not really sure what to make of those, they're quite out of character for his sort of fare. Now I have watched much of Keshen8's work, he really is a great Brickfilmer! His more recent Lego Civil War Brickfilm is really one fast paced, snappy piece of animation excellence!
