  1. Eurobricks user @Amazing Bricks has already shared much of the concept art seen in this book.
  2. The same Instagram user has just posted an image of the TLNM Hot Dog Mascot seen in the trailer also. But I agree, Iron Dragon Misako makes for a most impressive and desirable minifigure, something that historical/fantasy fans can make great reusage of. As far as whether these figures are to be seen in 2017 or 2018 sets, they both may come in the wave reported to be released in December this year, but technically that may make them winter 2018 sets.
  3. This is just... Unbearably Beautiful. Dang, I really wish I could visit this place, its opening date happens to fall on my birthday. For you @Sariel, what was the best part of the House?
  4. Is that conjecture or do you know something?
  5. OK, that DNA Defence one is cool! There is so much to admire in the construction and aesthetic of the antagonist's mech, such as the rib cage like midsection, the skeletal upper arms, and the usage of those Technic panels nicely nestling in its pilot. I really like those varying electrical "Tesla" globes too! By the way, what head is the antagonist using and where is it from?
  6. Holiday Sweater Guy Gender: Male. Occupation/print on torso: Bright Green knit sweater with MiniFig Santa Claus head imagery. Type of headgear: TLNM Jay's hairpiece in Dark Orange. Type of facial expression: Sheepish expression under burly Dark Orange beard. Color on torso/legs: Bright Red with Reddish Brown slippers printed on feet. Accessory: Bright Red mug with Bright Green Christmas tree print. Space Knight Gender: Male. Occupation/print on torso: Light Bluish Grey torso with segmented armored plating and Classic Space logo center chest. Type of headgear: Bright Blue year two Nexo Knights armor with Trans-yellow shoulder pauldrons, and Bright Blue helmet design 22380 with Clay's visor in Light Bluish Grey. Type of facial expression: Calm but concentrated smile. Color on torso/legs: Dual molded Light Bluish Grey with continuation of torso armor prints and Bright Blue boots. Accessory: Nexo Knights Clay's sword in Light Bluish Grey and Trans-yellow. I think the post apocalyptic genre is a bit too ominous for Lego to touch upon within the CMS line; but I think that if anything, Lego would probably instead attempt an action theme based upon the genre steered the way they'd wish to touch upon it. I made a suggestion on a topic of @Peppermint_M's hypothesizing a plausible idea for an action theme based upon the genre, something that would have a more positive, optimistic take on it despite the nature of the source material. But having said all that, what would you possibly envision for a CMF based upon the genre yourself? I see what you did there.
  7. Is the shade of yellow seen in this creation Flame Yellowish Orange, Bright Yellow, or a combination of those two? Edit: I just saw that The Brothers Brick blog now has this creation featured in a post of theirs. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2017/09/10/love-bumblebee-bum-bl-bee-tu-t-transformers/
  8. Well, the kids that buy most Star Wars sets probably do. They are TLG's core demographic after all, not us. Hey, I really myself don't have that much of an issue with today's stud shooter guns, cannons, and spring loaded shooters. Most of these playability gimmick functions are much better than the flick fire missiles and Technic mega missile shooters utilized in the past for sets.
  9. As far as the Milano goes, here is a great UCS scale MOC of the spacecraft by Tyler Clites (a.k.a. Legohaulic) made up of about 1500 pieces. If Lego were to ever consider such a set, Tyler's model gives us what I think would be a viable direction for such a possibility.
  10. JKBrickworks's Pop-Up Book has become the first project to reach the Third 2017 Ideas Review stage after finally achieving 10,000 supporters. https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-ideas-pop-up-book-achieves-10000-supporters/
  11. Well, actually I haven't built in a long time, due primarily to mostly unsorted bricks. I've amassed a pretty large collection from almost second hand collections entirely, gathered over the years from various local thrift stores and garage sales. So I'd say about half my collection has been sorted; but what I have sorted is color sorted, which is actually frustrating since finding bricks you need in a monochrome pool of parts is just plain mind numbing. I just simply need to resort those bricks AND the completely unsorted ones for a much more pleasant inventory search. But I unfortunately don't have the large amount of expendable time for neither. Now CAD software is an option, but since I only use a tablet, Mecabricks is the only cloud based Lego software available now. It's not that bad despite its various holes in its inventory, I just simply need to get the hang of it, something I still don't quite have down.
  12. Well seriously, how bad could a "big bang" Space theme be anyway? With historical themes such as Ninjas and Castle, taking those into a more science fiction realm is much more concerning given the possibility that their potential popularity would eliminate the chance for a more historically rooted theme to ever reappear again. In other words, how could Lego possibly screw up a Space theme? It is science fiction/fantasy based after all. I highly agree with this. This is something that was part of a discussion started by @Karalora back in 2015, proposing that the multiple/alternate build concept be applied to many other themes beyond Creator and Technic.
  13. Something also I think that would make for a great Ideas project would be a twelve to sixteen inch model of Pacific Rim's Gypsy Danger, complete with a UCS plaque and minifigures of the Jaeger's two pilots Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori. Such a project may come to prove popular come March next year with the release of the film's sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising. As far as the license goes, I think that may be easy for TLG to obtain, since they already have a partnership with the sequel's distributor Universal Pictures. Now like I had previously suggested with Creator in my prior post, maybe this project could be even better if the set could rebuild into Gypsy's successor Gypsy Avenger, the main star Jaeger of next year's sequel. They are somewhat similar in build and appearance, so perhaps the set's part content could easily be able to rebuild into either Jaeger, given the two pictorial examples shown below.
  14. Is his chin made using the rubber end of a Lime Green tipped Technic mega missile?
  15. Dang, not only is it cute, but also a very cleverly built vignette! I really like those touches such as the joysticks used as flagpoles, set at an angle to evoke the effects of the blast. Brilliant! And suspending the UFO by the weapons beam? Double win!
  16. I would definitely suggest something original attached to no IPs; but if you do consider any licensed property, research its ownership well. I know this may not be as easy as a one and done creation, but I personally think a Creator style multiple build project would be quite favorable for Ideas staff members. Choose a genre though that is not as typical for the Creator theme, something of a more Sci-fi/Fantasy or Historical bent. I think that a Classic Spaceship Creator project would be cool; and such a project does not need to stay limited to two alternate builds, since the Creator theme in the past has given us 8 in 1 and 15 in 1 sets at times. For historical Creator type projects, this one modular castle project has had some considerable success, gathering about 2200+ supporters. Kingdoms Modular Castle Creator by mkalkwarf. Bottom line, I think the essence of the multiple build Creator concept is great since it encourages customers to buy multiple copies for modular expansion and inspires creativity.
  17. I was just about to say "Yeah, Playmobil even hasn't given in to intellectual properties yet", looked up their current product line, and then I was just like... WHEN THE HECK DID PLAYMOBIL START OBTAINING LICENSED PROPERTIES?! I mean, they have already accumulated Ghostbusters, How to Train Your Dragon, and NHL licences! I remember once picking up a 2014 catalog of theirs at a hobby store years ago, and none of that was part of their product line.
  18. OK, so apparently production for The Lego Movie 2 will be starting this October 2nd in British Columbia, Canada, according to My Entertainment World. http://screenrant.com/lego-movie-2-starts-filming/
  19. That bottom right design is just so Tron Legacy, I mean the helmet is almost spot on.
  20. Hey Benny, welcome to Eurobricks! I've seen your Mobile Laboratory on Ideas before not long after it was posted, and I immediately shared it on @LegoMonorailFan's Best Ideas Projects topic. It's great to see a CS themed project on there every now and then, especially since there are so few there currently.
  21. I love the repurposing of the Nexo shields as ironing boards! Maybe it's just the lighting, but are those shields in Sand Blue or is that just Light Bluish Grey? I think Lego really should do 32 by 16 footprinted modulars for one year, perhaps two of them at a $70 to $90 range.
  22. I should add this statistic highlighted in the Brickset report on TLG's press release, which emphasizes the double digit revenue climb in China juxtapositioned to the US and Europe's decline. From Brickset:
  23. Thanks for those images @legozebra! You know what really has caught my eye are those flying Art Deco "Tesla" villains in the top right hand corner of the second picture of your initial post. Those I would have been very interested to see in finalized form; particularly those gold wings, something that I would have loved to reuse for Dieselpunk/Retro Sci-fi MOCs. Also, those concept art illustrations of alternate knight designs are quite something, seemingly ranging from Voltron to Tron in aesthetic inspirations.
  24. Very nice, I like the thruster design on this creation, much like the ones on your previous LL929 Galaxy Explorer MOC with their rounded, squarish build. I loved your take on the original set, especially since you utilized the TLBM Batmobile windshield for it, a most perfect fit indubitably.
  25. This is the third time I've seen an official TLG statement stating the company's interest in China as a future market, the last two times from former CEO Bali Padda. From Chairman Jørgen Vig Knudstorp: I think that holds some interesting possibilities for future products and lines perhaps.
