The Wizard of Oz Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to EdWebhead's topic in LEGO Licensed
If true, I wonder how exactly they're going to fit into a cosmic voyage sort of tale. Perhaps the Land of (spoiler) is portrayed as a planet? Are these characters merely to act as cameo Master Builders like other IP characters were treated in the first movie? -
So, once again, here's @Ashnflash and @just2good's latest CMF draft collaboration...

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
If so, I kinda find that to be somewhat of a bummer, as I didn't wish to see... By the way, are you giving confirmation of this plot leak based upon tie-in sets you may have seen yourself or heard described from others? -

Speed Champions 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Town
Unless Lego is handling these things on a brand-by-brand basis, a license partnership with Dodge means that Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram are also open for future set possibilities with Lego, right?- 428 replies

Um, honestly, I don't know what to make of this... ...while I'm all in for TLG testing waters for new adult-oriented markets through other means besides LEGO Ideas, this line in particular just seems to be pandering to an adult market that would otherwise be too pretentious or afraid of Lego due to certain preconceived notions of theirs. And seriously, AFOLs can create some of the most sophisticated-looking and thought-provoking creations that are completely constructed from Lego elements without any specialized printed paneling for their finer aesthetic detailing. For those whom this line is primarily marketed to, anyone who would gift them with these sets should rather spend the money on Mike Doyle's trilogy of Beautiful Lego books instead as a gift. Show them instead what Lego is really capable of!

Minecraft 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, I'll be most interested in seeing how these brick-built figures will be done, as I'm surprised we haven't seen Lego do such a thing for the theme since its start in 2015! Given their simplistic, pixalated designs, Steve and Alex at least should be easy to capture in a wide range of scales without any need for prints and/or stickers. -
In celebration of reaching 10,000 subscribers over on YouTube, @Ashnflash gave us his personal experience story with Lego and the fan community. All the same!

Yikes, reminds me somewhat of the unsettling, deco-esque work of Mihai Marius Mihu over on Flickr.

For any aspiring minifigure renderers who may read this topic, check out @Ashnflash's recent tutorial! As always!

Most indeed! Wow, all those ideas and their respective designs are most seriously excellent! I especially dig your Matsyoshka (10) and War Nurse (17)!

What was the last movie you watched?
Digger of Bricks replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Rian Johnson's Looper from 2012 with Joseph Levitt Gordon and Bruce Willis. Found it myself to be a fairly interesting, novel time travel yarn to say the very least. -
Are you aware of this only through packaging and/or branding? If you know more than that, would you be able to say whether the sets' figures have specialized heads and/or limbs like the original theme, or do they take after the CMF Buzz Lightyear (if you know what I mean by that)?
-
Hmmm, I wonder if all five of these sets will be exclusively based upon the upcoming fourth film or if any may take after the previous three. Nonetheless, I'm at least hoping we'll see Bo Peep as a figure for the first time, considering how she'll be central to the next installment.

...and beyond! As I've said elsewhere countless times before, Creator can (and should) be a haven for homeless themes and genres that once had or never had a place in Lego's lineup historically. In a way, Creator should be akin to the non-licensed Collectable Minifigure line, a place for sets of particular genres that currently no theme that could house at the time. TLG really needs to prioritize it more in terms of expansion and promotion.

Same here, though I don't set my expectations too high as so to only be likely disappointed, as it rather sets me up to be pleasantly surprised if my hopes do come to fruition. And, since we've on the subject of leaking, has anyone suspected that TLG themselves instigate these leaks in some way? Are there any other toy companies and their respective product lines that have such a "leak culture" surrounding them like Lego and its fan community does?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The thing is, while I do personally appreciate new molds when they're needed every now and then, I more greatly appreciate further usage and/or recolors of already existing molds, especially from the CMS line. TLG really needs to focus upon further proliferation of their preexisting inventory and in turn slow down the introduction of new molds just a little bit. -

Digger of Bricks replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
1994's The Shadow with Alec Baldwin. Its dialogue is very cringe-worthy at times and its editing rather odd, but it is somewhat worth watching for its impressive production design.
