Ninjago Movie Screen-Accurate Mech Recreations
Digger of Bricks replied to GLAP23's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Just ask either @WhiteFang (this forum's global moderator), @Captain Nemo, or @Clone OPatra for some assistance in doing so, which I've just done by mentioning them! -

Oh, and also, these builds at Seattle BrickCon 2018 were apparently part of a collaboration hosted by The Brothers Brick blog: The Brothers Brick - Ninjago City collaborative display at BrickCon 2018 -
Ideas for New Action Themes
Digger of Bricks replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, dinosaurs are a reoccurring subject matter that the Three-In-One Creator line likes to revisit; so, why couldn't they simply introduce an annual line of Creator Expert Dinosaur builds in lieu of a new theme, kinda like this guy's rejected LEGO Ideas project? Ideas for New Action Themes

If it were to be set during the 1920's/1930's like Adventurers' Dino Island subtheme, sign me right up! Kinda like 2001's Dinosaurs? -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
That theme, talk about militaristic... ...rather strange to think that actually existed in hindsight. -
While that helmet is impressive (could kinda see it being repurposed by others for some sorta Nexo Knights villain), the head alone on the other hand reminds me somewhat of Gypsy Avenger:

Hmmm, he looks less like a cowboy as I'd originally envisioned and something more like Larry the Cable Guy, as he seems to have no sleeves. His new hairpiece is interesting, a sort of hybrid between the S1 Skateboarder piece and Emmet's, but blockier overall; but, this bada** doppelganger direction his figure looks to be adopting makes me start wondering about those rumors...

LEGO DC Villains (Videogame)

H-Wing Deep Space Interceptor by siuliano Temple of Hermit by lafornia Brick-Built Looney Tunes Figures by BrickMatt - While I personally would've given him LBG arms and Bright Blue hands instead, I do sorta dig his Futuron-esque appearance and style. - Here's an example of such I remembered from someone else, but with a substitute for the airtanks:

For those interested, @Ashnflash has just cooked up a custom CMS based upon the videogame. -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
I believe the helmet is merely the old CMF football/hockey player one, the modified "Racer" helmet that is without a chinstrap. Besides that though, the new breathing mask and visor parts are most exciting, as I could imagine them being reused/recolored for a Fighter/Show Jet Pilot CMF. -
CMF SERIES 19 GUESSING GAME!
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not only does the archetype take inspiration from The Shadow (from whom Batman's character actually took inspiration from), but also The Gray Ghost, who takes inspiration from The Shadow, in turn acting as an inspiration for a young Bruce Wayne within The Animated Series.- 36 replies

Well, perhaps @WhiteFang or @Peppermint_M could merge the two? * * Sorry, not sure who the moderator for this subforum is.

If they were indeed able to legally do it, I still think Sony wouldn't be interested, as they already technically have an animated cinematic movie for the character releasing this Christmas, one that could potentially spawn sequels.

The LEGO Movie 2: References Predictions?
Digger of Bricks replied to Dorayaki's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I'd imagine not, as it may take awhile for the Ideas team to develop and finally unveil the final product; so, by the time February rolls around, I think they'd rather not debut the characters in minifigure form onscreen prematurely. If that movie does finally roll around... -
What was the last movie you watched?
Digger of Bricks replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Unlike many, I just finished watching the first season of Netflix's Stranger Things only now. I intended to watch this show shortly after watching its eariler cinematic doppleganger, J.J. Abrams' Super 8, but got distracted with other media. Now that I've finally watched it, I get all the hype behind it, as it is a very well done show. While all the performances were great, I especially admired Harbour's character Chief Hopper and Ryder as Will's mom. Now, in comparison to Abrams' Super 8, I do find that movie has a more atmospheric aesthetic and grander cinematic scale going for it, thought I do prefer Stranger Things' treatment of their own big bad. -
I see that this black beauty has just gotten featured over at The Brothers Brick blog. The Brothers Brick - Holy Hot Wheels Batman! Can I take it for a ride?

CMF SERIES 19 GUESSING GAME!
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Here's my third round of guesses, which again do not need to be counted: Masked Avenger (a.k.a. Zorro) Intergalactic Cop (a.k.a. Space Police Officer) Babylonian King Inventor (possibly Steampunk themed) Teddy Bear Guy/Girl Rocket Pack Pilot (think the Rocketeer) Heroic Fantasy Knight Train Conductor Private Detective/Investigator Professional Cyclist Beekeeper Evil Mastermind (think Alpha Team's Ogel, a counterpart to the S16 Spy) Female Astronaut Medieval Blacksmith Motorcar Driver (a.k.a turn-of-the-century automobilist) Edwardian Gentlewoman (a.k.a. Gibson Girl) If you're interested, here's my fill-out suggestion for the archetype, which perhaps you may have seen.- 36 replies

Honestly, Apocalypseburg and its citizens definitely fall quite plainly into the Mad Max, Post-Apocalyptic genre more so than either Steampunk or Dieselpunk. Those latter two can crossover with/into the Post-Apocalyptic genre at times, but Steampunk relies on being set in an alternate history that takes off from the Victorian/Industrial Age onwards, while Dieselpunk shoots off anywhere starting from World War I to World War II and anything in between those two wars.
