  • What is favorite LEGO theme? (we need this info to prevent spam)
Which theme is my favourite kinda depends on my mood, jack of all trades master of none sorta thing, at the moment if I had to pick one I'd say Star Wars at the moment. My most recent purchase was 7 marvel cmf blind boxes.

  1. Imagine if they did, if the whole advertising campaign for the show was done entirely through funkos, we'd get whiplash when the show was live action. It'd be pretty funny though.
  2. *Bernie Sanders* : I am once again asking for your support (aka: a summary of what we know about the 2027 sets ) Evilest MCU character...
  3. "Azula always lies, Azula always lies." Andrew Garfield also said he was not going to be in Spider-Man: No Way Home. I mean they probably aren't in it but maybe they could be (then again they'd probably use them in the marketing to try to drive more X-fans to the cinema) but hopefully there's a bigger chance of them showing up in secret wars especially if it's been divided into 2 movies like some rumours suggest. If they want a deep cut mutant from the old universe then Emma Dumont played a great Polaris in the TV 'The Gifted', not really relavent I know but she was great in that show and if they want to jam pack the avengers Doom movie then it'd be cool to see her. ___________________________________ Back to Lego talk, could someone summarise what know about the 2027 sets? I've seen some zombie torsos on Reddit from a What If set which feels like a weird choice (unless it's secretly a Doomsdsy set, or fake) but what else is there to know?
  4. These are a fun idea but really they are just emojis slapped on a minifig head, they don't have as much soul as the ones here. And some like shushing one or the sideways laughter are quite cursed.
  5. How else are we gonna get a flesh tone 3 eye strange? I was more saying it was a choice made by Disney/Marvel big bosses rather than actual creatives. Hopefully when they do they'll the scrap the big figs and go back to technic figs and/or use a mid-fig like the leaked Shrek or animated Lego Big Tony Tony Chopper. (And not like the ugly Mister incredible game version). Which is a massive shame really because Infinity War is the better movie by a very long shot. Would he though? He's been a set before, admittedly an expensive one but she never has... Until now. She's like John.
  6. Would be cool. (Thought that would merge, where is Sensei Wu when you need him?)
  7. Ah, that's makes sense, I'm afraid I wasn't gonna read back through every page that I've been inactive for but its a discussion that was bound to come up I suppose. As a 1999 baby I grew up with those films so I'd like to see them get some love, but I suppose the most iconic things have already been done in some other form recently like the X-Jet, Mansion, Cerebro and even a different statue of liberty battle. Whole the suits are drab it'd still be cool to get them at some point. Two controversial X-Men opinions coming up. 1 - the X-Men are cooler than the Avengers. And 2 - I don't give a megabluck about the 90s show. I dunno, I tried to get into it a few times, even before the news of the revival/continuation, it just hasn't aged well, and yet plenty of other similar shows don't have that problem for me like classic Doctor Who, or the DCAU. I do wish Disney had made a totally new show instead. However, despite my total disinterest in X-Men TAS, I do still like the sets based on it, because it's still the same characters and the designs are very much comic book anyway. Yeah once the there has been some time since the more recent X-Men releases it'd make sense to do the movie versions. Though even if Fox X-Men sets aren't in the future I just hope we get some more characters regardless of which versions we get of them. *Heh* I think treating 'the fans' as a monolith is a mistake. I for one quite enjoyed a fair few of the post endgame projects, especially She-Hulk, Loki and The Marvels. I do see a lot of negativity online these days and I disagree with a lot of it, but for something that partially sells itself on being a connected universe, this most recent phase has been the least interconnected. I get that things like Kang were particularly out of the writers hands but I think doubts only natural. Though I do agree with you about a lot of what you are saying. I love the OG X-Men movies but I do think trying to go about tying them into the MCU was an odd choice, narrative wise at least, especially doing it before establishing thier MCU counterparts ( though then again no actor is immortal). Yet I do find myself wanting to see them now I know they are coming, so d they've already gone down this path I hope they bring in some more of them for the next part, Storm's omission is particularly egregious, and younger gen like Iceman and Rogue shouldn't be neglected either. Beast is already pretty much confirmed to show up somewhere thanks to the marvels. Especially with the whole 3 of the fantastic 4 thing, I'm still holding out a silver of hope. I know they're bound to release a follow up wave later anyway but still it feels possible. I mean it's very rare we get a leak that gives us all the info at once anyway. I'll have to look into it, though I suppose they might come in a set later that I might pick up anyway. My biggest problem with bricklink is one fig or part or set or whatever might seem cheap but then you've got to think about postage, and then you think since I'm getting this from this seller with this postage I might as well see what else they have and then all of a sudden the cart is pushing triple digits for things that seem to have okay prices on their own but is an insane price for the basket as a whole... Honestly in some ways the ship is part of the crew... Lame excuse for it though. As the biggest bad of season one it definitely could've included Arlong at very least. It is the only One Price set I have though cause it died give you a pretty complete package at least for the season one LA crew (and it was discounted at Smyths). Probably not gonna happen as you say but even ignoring the OG trilogy (that I pretend is Duology sometimes...) a first class sub set with Emma, Beast, Erik, Raven, Azezal and Kevin Bacon would go hard as diamond.
  8. The great thing nowadays is that even if I don't get the set, they might still put some of them in the magazine. I've no interest in the jet set ( be it quin or X) but the Cyclops and Thing minifigs sound cool. Though figs just don't seem to come to it ... like Ms Marvel :( Talking about Cyclops do we think there might be a chance that the appearance of the Fox X-Men in the Doomsday sets might lead to them making 2000s X-men sets eventually like the new Tobey Spidey sets after his No way home set appearance?
  9. I'd say Sue just because it's the Fantastic 4 and they have 3 of them, feels weird to leave out just one. And I expect she's gonna be more important to the film than John. But you do make a good point about her having a recent (and currently available) fig compared to US Agent's absolutely nothing. I think you might be biased towards him getting a fig because he's a favourite of yours but I'm biased towards him here too because I'd prefer figs of characters I don't already have a version of and with him having nada, he's clearly in that group. I understand the major and exciting characters are more important to the film and will sell sets better but I do wish they'd do more of the less available ones. I'd like a Shang Chi, a (black panther) Shuri and a Sghost but not enough to go hunting for the old figs from discontinued sets.
  10. But 'clone' brands like lumi-bricks do not just have similar bricks they copy them one to one, and that's one thing for structural bricks like a 4*2 brick where it sorta has to be the same or near enough if you want to sell compatibility but there's tonnes of parts like hairs, accessories and other decorative parts where they have absolutely no excuse for pretty blatant plaguerism. Now I know Lego is a big company and not out friend and they're not suffering too much are they? But ultimately Lumibricks and thier ilk are pretty scummy and evidently cut corners, some clone brands even straight up steal designs not only from Lego who can take the hit but from fans and moccers, they punch down as well as up.
  11. Pokémon I know it's not everyone's favourite I think Pokémon Go would be perfect for a CMF. You could cover all the characters pretty much, unlike any of the mainline games. I've outlined the idea in a spoiler to save space. But now they'd rather do F1 again after it sold like whatever the opposite of hotcakes is. On a different note I've seen it said elsewhere and I agree that Nami's hair in black would've been 100* better for Zinnia and honestly for the price of that Rayquaza set it would've been cool if they gave Zinnia her Whismur too.
  12. Yeah I really wanted to be hyped for it, but I'm just not. Green Lantern the Animated Series was my Jam! GL stuff is the best DC stuff outside of the Bat stuff and they're doing it dirty. I like the peacemaker show but this needed to be for a more universal audience, to make Green lantern more of a big thing, and frankly for a series with a power system based in colour it's insane how drab the trailer looked.
  13. Especially with Sue missing it makes me feel like there's (or at least there should be) a secret fourth playset, hopefully one in the lower ranges too. I mean it has happened before that a set from a wave is leaked later, often if they're some kind of exclusive. I think a £10 - £45 set with some of the following: Sue, Shang, Shuri, Sjohn, Sava, Sgambit, Sm'Baku. And probably Soctor Soom since he seems to be in every one for some reason. I think I'll enjoy it for what it is, I am looking forward to it but I'm not expecting much a coherent story. Like Endgame, for example, is as a whole movie pretty lackluster in terms of plot and story but it does have a lot of fun moments, the whole is just less than the sum of it's parts there and I'm prepared for it to be like that. Like it's not high art (which superheroes can be, I'm not saying that) abs it doesn't have to be but it should hopefully still be fun. Like this might just seem like I have low standards but I think sometimes as movie being good is not a prerequisite of it being fun. Though I still kinda hate the Tony Doom idea, it's blatantly a marketing choice not a storytelling one, like they knew this would generate interest from certain groups so they worked backwards from there. Like I know movies exist to make money but sometimes I wish they didn't and art could just be art ( ironic considering I said the film isn't high art anyway and that it didn't need to be). But blatant cash grabbiness aside I might admit to being slightly hyped. I try not to whine(y) too much but sometimes I hoove to give in.
  14. It looks okay, not quite equine enough though.
  15. I thought it was quite a weird stylistic choice to have it look like that, but this explains that.
