Wow, this is an amazing final product. I really like how you guided us along the way of you building it, with lots of updates. The front end captures the Aston shape perfectly. I'm excited to see what you start next!

I would really like and am hoping the B-Model for 42070 is a crawler. I think that opposed to a truck, like 9398, it would be more of a Jeep.

The moment I read the topic's name I got excited. Then I read who started it and knew I had to prepare to be blown away. And I am blown away! This is very impressive, I like the engine a lot. The front end looks really cool! I really like how you incorporated your usual style of wheel arches. This is a great model!

A well spent year if you ask me. What you seem to be doing, @Aventador2004, is that you have built something and then are slowly changing it. What I've seen many supercar builders do is start from the ground up and slowly work your way to completion, not having it all built at the beginning. What I suggest is starting with the chassis, then axles, gearbox, engine, body, ect... Take your time. Most of us can't build a supercar in one day. Trust me, I've tried. even though Victor Imaginator did...

Wow, this seems close to, if not perfect! Shifts flawlessly every time, extremely robust, compact.... The list goes on and on. I'll have to build this for sure! @Meatman Would you mind sharing a link to this other one?

Looks good so far, I just have a few suggestions. I've seen you do the same front end before on other cars. Why not change it up, or at the very least, attempt something new? You did say Maybe in your improvements add some more panels or flex axles, especially over the front wheel arch. Make the roof a bit longer? Of course these are all to make your MOC better, not to discourage you!

Purism
offroadcreations replied to Erik Leppen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Here is what I've got to say: I am not a purist. I use and SBrick and Minizip myself. What "crossing the line" is to me is cutting or modifying parts. If you use something to add to a model, like a BuWizz or custom tires or 3D printed parts, that doesn't bother me. What I don't like is gluing and painting one parts that are visible. I myself have even created a custom 3.5L axle to try to make a suspension with a CV-joint work better, and took apart suspension pieces, but those were on the inside. But If you cut something or modify something on the outside that is visible, I disagree. For example, I find this to be more like a hobby model than a Lego model. When considering what has actually been done to the parts, I don't like it as much as thinking about it as a hobby model. But hey, It's still pretty cool, and as a model I like it. Also, I don't mean to hurt anyone, this is just my opinion. Hope my standpoint makes sense.- 179 replies

At first I thought this wouldn't have many functions, but it seems like there are. Impressive! I will for sure get this now.

Done! Thanks for the idea. The transmission shifts right now because I yet again put another one in! It's based off this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZYEQ0wW4cA I don't want to move the seats, because the gear shifter (not yet installed) would be way too far back. Other than that, the Sinner's chassis is becoming "super" now!

Sorry, wasn't able to make it in all black. But here is the Black Edition Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-8053/offroadcreations/ultra4-buggy-black-edition/ and LDD: https://bricksafe.com/files/Offroadcreations/competition-buggy/black-edition/Ultra4 Black.lxf

Ripster V16
offroadcreations replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I love this! It reminds me of a Mad Max-style vehicle. I'm happy you've been building again, you always make the coolest and wackiest things! -
Thank you both, I moved the engine 2 studs forward, and I will move the seats after redesigning the gearbox. Thanks for all the suggestions! I tried the 8880 Gearbox, but I built it and I don't think it will work. Yes, except for my not-very-super small Porsche and very bad Porsche racecar I built in about 1 day. I know, but I based it mostly off of this blueprint:The final model may look a bit cartoonish, but I like that! @nerdsforprez@JJ2 Ok, you and everyone else have inspired me to put in suspension. I will definitely keep the name. The color scheme is not final. You were all right about suspension. It is a satisfying feeling to push down on it after working hard to finish it.

Congratulations to the winners! Thanks to the staff for putting it on, I had lots of fun.
