  1. To me, the painting makes this look pretty bad. I painted a wheel hub to black but I used spray paint and it looked like official TLG part.
  2. Excellent job! At first glance it looks like a Viper to me.
  3. If I had the talent to build something I would try and build a simple gear box which switches from the low RPM shaft to the high RPM shaft. I would think you can then gear even faster since the low RPM shaft has overcome the torque issue at low speed.
  4. Typically people use L or XL motors for vehicles like this so it is interesting the use of two buggy motors. What gearing did you use to improve the torque of the buggy motors?
  5. did you read the description? To buy the building Instruction (5 euro), contact me by E-mail: ultimatepaave@gmail.com
  6. one car comes to mind which dominated in '67 the Ford GT40
  7. I found if I don't reverse when driving forward and let car stop on its own it's ok.
  8. I will take a look at it tonight or tomorrow night and snap a picture.
  9. looks great. Are you able to correct spelling mistakes in the file? "Programm" should have one m. "LOE" should be "LEO" I am assuming the specification and other information is correct.
  10. I guess things got moved around in the threads so the link is gone. It was so long ago, I don't even remember exactly what I did. If you get no response, I can take a picture of the rear end for you which should be enough for the mod. From what I remember it was just a swap of a beam and panel.
  11. I think you pretty much covered it although we won't know for sure until there is a parts list or some one really studies the tear down in detail. Judging from @Thorsten50 progress, we are not to far off from it being posted on rebrickable. The wheel arch isn't rare in my mind because it can be bought from bricks and pieces.
  12. I am very interested to see how this looks blue on black.
  13. If you have the time the BMW DTM build thread touches upon gearing of the XL motor. It had three different gear options for use of a 1, 2 or 4 XL motor. It is a smaller and lighter car than this one but hopefully you will see speed is not easy with these builds. Even using buggy motors has its limitations and creates other challenges.
  14. Does anyone know the length of flex axle on the fire truck? I counted it to be 9L but that size has never been done.
  15. I agree with @Thorsten50 it should be tested to be sure it works properly. It would be very unfortunate if the clutch gear does not have enough friction to overcome the transmission after the entire car is built!
  16. Looks like a lot of fun to drive.
  17. Excellent video! Its unfortunate but understandable about shifting while driving is not reliable. I did notice at 0:45 when it shows the wheel hubs spinning that the front was not smooth and looked slower than the rear. Too much friction somewhere? I know you helped lox with a few builds but to me this is your first build. It's remarkable. Absolutely stunning both inside and out. Can't wait to build it!
  18. It is likely of little interest to you and way too much work, but it would be amazing if there was a RC (as built) and a Manual version.
