IMO, if you wanted to scale it perfect I would not change anything with the wheel base or L of the car. I notice many of your builds look "stubby" and this one looks excellent.

Like a broken record......superb job again! Having seen this in person awhile back, I was waiting for the long awaited release and final product! Few observations as noted above and I noticed a bit of large gap when behind the vehicle looking into the door. Might be the angle or you just couldn't get the door closer? Visible 0:50 - 0:53, 1:16 - 1:19. IMO, this is your first Lambo which looks the most accurate from the side view. Great job! I look forward to building it! After the Venano....and Ford GT.....and NSX......and Chiron...

Holes in Technic MOCs
technic_addict replied to Alex Ilea's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
IMO this particular model looks much better in pictures than in front of you. I was not very impressed when I saw it. You also had to be careful not to breath in its direction because pieces would fall off. -

This subject has been brought up before and most people either prefer one style over another. -
[MOC] Koenigsegg One:1
technic_addict replied to Pvdb's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like the colour scheme, black on orange may have popped even more! The instructions did have some pieces in the wrong order resulting in problematic assembly. I had built another super car just before that which had similar issues so I was able to make it work without much problems by changing the order of pieces. I do agree that the paddle shifter was an accomplishment, unfortunately for me one side doesn't work. I had no inclination to take it all apart to try and fix it though.- 229 replies

Yes, it is likely the mold and cavity. I personally would call Lego and see what they say about it. They will likely send you the parts free of charge. It is a very large difference in the picture you posted and is a bit on a concern. I have never seen such a big difference in black parts.

The crack is a knit or weld line and has no real bearing on colour difference. Are the surface textures the same? The knit line tells me it was produced under different machine settings, most likely at different times and maybe different mold.

There is no such thing as Matte Plastic. You can change the colour of the pelletes and change the texture of the mold to give the appearance of a Matte finish. I have a bunch of those black curved pieces, I will check to see how they look. I would be concerned if Lego are producing a greyish or matte black.

Ha. I wish we now had enough a lot of dark azure but unfortunately we don't. Some pieces that come to mind, 2L lift arm, 2L joiner (axle or pin), any flex axle, pin n axle perpendicular. If this set was medium blue there was enough medium blue to make something. Now we don't have enough of dark azure or medium blue. Hopefully 2H brings some more pieces. The planned iconic car with @Lox Lego is shelved for now.

Technic 2018 Set Discussion

Yup, that looks dark azure. That's too bad. I wonder if the parts used in the video was prototype parts because they looked like medium blue. Dark azure is a very nice colour, there just isn't as much of it as medium blue. -

Did they actually open the 42077 and compare pieces? What do you think it is? -

Hey Paul. Can you post a link? Did they open the 42077? -
I may be in the minority here but I think using the old panels has done this build an injustice. Those panels are not really used for a reason. I know you really wanted the metallic green but I think using the newer panels would have improved the look dramatically.

Excellent job and best looking 1:10? scale model available. A few critiques though. The front and side pillars look too thick with two rows of red. I would change one of them to black as the black car it is not as noticeable. Also on the red car, I would add black pieces in the area of the intakes in front of the rear wheels. Although it may be a little too thick for this scale, I really like the use of the 90 deg. elbow on the rear.
