  1. Thanks for looking into it! I will likely do a mod to use a white flex axle or maybe just use a black one instead. Now I need to make a decision.....finish your brothers car which is about 75% complete.......or begin collecting pieces for this
  2. Do you have pictures of where the grey substitutes were made so I can see how visibility distracting it is? Is the 16L flex axle in red or 17L rigid hose used in the wheel well area?
  3. Thanks for responding so quickly. I am assuming you mean the rigid hose 75C17? That may be a problem for everyone since there are none for sale on BL. What about the other parts I listed? I am not trying to be difficult but $35 CAD for instructions is probably the most expensive supercar instructions I have seen to date and I would like to make sure it is possible to make in white before committing. Have the instructions been test built to validate accuracy and issues? Thanks.
  4. I am interested to see how @Thorsten50 handled some parts which don't exist in white like 22961 Technic Pin Connector Hub with 1 Axle, 48989 Technic Pin Connector Hub Perpendicular 3L with 4 Pin, 32202 Hose Soft Axle 16 and maybe more but that is what I quickly see.
  5. Happy Birthday Lachlan! Your progression in two years is remarkable and you are very talented builder. Will there stickers be released? I didn't notice anything added on Jaap's website.
  6. Great pic of his supercars! He actually built the FXX in black but it was suggested to do instructions in red as well.
  7. It is going to be a busy fall / winter for me
  8. The stiffest spring is already being used in 6.5L size. I see no reason why using the half bush on the hard spring wouldn't work to make the suspension stiffer.
  9. Wow! I want it on my shelf! A sticker package from jaap would be perfect for this car! From the race cars I have built, they look so much better once a sticker package is applied. Comments above mention "boxy" which I don't see. Comparing to the real car I think you did a fantastic job! The reason I think they say it is boxy because the hood is a stud or so too high. Changing that however would mess up your alignment with the wheel well. This might be able to improved by switching the 1x3 lift arms and using flex axles on the front. I personally think it looks pretty good as is. The one area I think could be improved and may give the illusion of a sleeker look is the front black area. The real car is much thinner at the bottom giving it a Y shape. Your design is more straight or square which may also lead to the "boxy" comments. This is much better performance than your other 1:8 scaled Mocs for sure and I am happy to hear no skipping gears! Not quite the fastest 1:8 (Tesla model S) but excellent performance none the less. Another fantastic car IMO!
  10. I would like to nominate the beautiful Ford GT designed by @Lox Lego It is an extremely low profiled car which is difficult to replicate with use of a drivetrain and chassis. He also achieved the well deserved PRO badge after this build.
  11. Um...so I gotta find another used Porsche
  12. Unfortunately lime green, medium blue etc. are all missing certain panels. You can't make this car in orange either because there is no #5,6 panels in Orange. IMO the only way you can make a lime green or medium blue type vehicle is if you design and build it knowing which panels and pieces are available.
  13. Awesome renders @Blakbird They both look awesome but I still think the white one has more pop. I also don't like building Lambo's in Ferrari red
  14. Wow! Love the white version! I look forward to building it.
  15. Not a fan of the car but what a superb job you have done here. Many people have pointed out different things. To somewhat quote brunojj1; you captured the essence of the car and made a technic version of it. The speed reminds me of the ICARUS; however, that car weighed only 1.76kg so used four L motors. Have you had any drivetrain issues? Skipping of gears or damage? I am impressed with the acceleration and speed with the 2.6kg weight you have achieved.
  16. I actually believe the torque from the buggy motors will be the issue, not necessarily the COG. I look forward to seeing the results! If it has good torque, I would love to build this using Buwizz and using the slow setting for rock climbing and fast speed for everything else.
  17. Performs excellent, but it is more like a dune buggy performance than rock crawler. How does it perform at much steeper angles?
  18. Thanks @Lucio Switch for making the BI. This is exactly what I was looking for to display the falcon. @efferman do you build the falcon to completion and then remove the landing gear and place on stand? Is there an easier way for those that have not started building it yet?
  19. @Lox Lego will @Thorsten50 look at possibility of white?
  20. I believe a mod locked the official topic. If I have some time I will take some pictures and send them to you. Cheers.
