  1. He was superfunny. I very much enjoyed seeing videos of him making fun of the series. Sadly he got typecast and didn't got many engagements after the Batman series ended.
  2. A beautiful composition of colours and shapes. The facades are just perfect and that little dustbin is a really clever made detail. Looks very urban and modern. Great MOC
  3. Looks really amazing. Nice choice of pieces & colours. It all works together very well I would recommend though, to add another level to the building. I think that would be more suiting to the downtown-style of it. Also the mount for the coffee-cup-deco outside looks a bit weak and easy to knock off.
  4. Repaintings and things like that are usually not my thing, but this is done at such a high level! Very impressive!
  5. So it seems they are sold at Sainsbury's in the UK. A couple of the cards are on ebay, like this one. I can't help, but I still don't understand how someone could take offence on such a thing. Ok, the caption is a bit silly, but I think the writer might been at lost what else to say. Did they complain about the guys in the Hobbit-movies as well?
  6. So far I am quite happy how the standings are in this round. But I really wonder why the Motorcycle Mechanic has so few votes. How can you not like an unshaven, tattooed rocker?
  7. Now that took a while. Series 5 is ages ago. I guess the current battle dwarf wasn't offensive enough, so they had to dig deeper
  8. Looks really cool. A pretty daring combination of pieces! I don't know if you could turn it upside down, without parts falling off , but it is really a statement of creativity. I also like the explosion a lot. Very dynamic with the antenna-piece shooting out of it.
  9. I had the impression before that many pictures of sets are renders. Certain things, like the lighting you mention, are a bit too perfect sometimes. Then again, they show nicely every detail and if the differences to a photo are subtle enough and don't give a wrong idea of a set, I can live with it. I absolutely agree. Its good to see that Lego can create a buzz without relying on them.
  10. The video quality and animations are all at a very high standard. The intro music though is for my taste a bit too bombastic for what follows: a small Lego set The music accompanying the building sequence was quite suitable though. All in all I wouldn't call the video a review: More a speed build. No spoken word comment or any sort of information (apart from the moving pictures) or opinion on the set.
  11. Nice to see some content added to the game. I got disappointed after a while due to the overly simple nature of the constructions and lack of depth of the inventory. Now this might not really be what I was looking for, but its... Something. It also seems like thats a free DLC and I hope it stays like that. Now if they allow importing of LDD files or at least more complex building techniques and we are really talking.
  12. The skull look really good. Clever how you made the fangs. I would maybe add a couple more flames though. Give it a crown of blue fire, or frame the seat with them. Something in that direction. The direction of the style is great already though!
  13. Lovely looking models. The different styles are really working out nicely, despite the simplicity you have to apply at that scale. Good choice of colours as well. Nicely balanced.
  14. Looks fun! The rocket is simplistic, but looking good. Especially the cockpit. Elegant solution there. And oldschool gauges are always welcome to behold. The rocket appears to be a bit short though. A brick or two taller might already fix that. Maybe adding a step above the fins, to narrow it a bit at the base? Anyway. It has charme and I like it a lot. And... is Space Squad by any chance related to the series Police Squad?
  15. What a lovely gift! You really invested quite some time and effort into this, and that really shows. It turned out beautifully.
  16. Welcome back to Lego! Another soul comes out of their dark ages into the light of brick-building again Btw. Star Wars sets are a pretty good way to some insight into building techniques. They are usually pretty clever built to achieve the look of the movies; SNOT technique, interesting angles and smooth lines etc.
  17. Seems I'm completely with the majority today. Gourmet Chef, Shakespeare and the Beefeater were my favs too.
  18. Really nice look A mixture of elegant and brutal, with a tad of danger added. Very dynamic. There is definitely some action going on on that picture, which is hard to depict with a building I can imagine so many sci-fi scenarios where such a tower would be suiting.
  19. Beautiful. You don't need to make everything with advanced SNOT-techniques to make it look good. Colours and assembly works very well together and the vegetation is superb!
  20. Some really clever and beautiful designs here! I just love steampunk! Of course now everyone will ask you for more pictures of your Moon City.
  21. Crazy to see the Saturn V being featured on sites like Ars Technica. Its going to be really big...
  22. Ha! Surely completely coincidental
  23. These are really charming. Clever use of pieces to create just the right shapes and colour combinations.
  24. This scene really has something. I wasn't quite knowing what to expect, but your MOC did catch my eye indeed. Not being familiar with the look of suburban Japan by myself I enjoy the slight strangeness of its look. Its familiar, yet isn't. And you captured that perfectly with your build.
  25. It is a pretty small build for the amount of pieces, but looking at the pictures again, you can really see where they went. There is so much going on on so little space. It's quite mad really and makes for a great display of what is possible with Lego pieces.
