I was stumbling over this sentence as well. There are certainly companies with a better reputation.

Beautiful scene! The rocks are really lovely and look so natural.

Very good point. People can only buy so much. I think it is indeed saturation of the core markets, which isn't really surprising after years of staggeringly strong development. I think there is still potential of growth, but outside the existing markets. As for the USA being traditionally particularily weak for TLG, I can only guess there. Is it more hasbro homeland? And I think his influence on the current lineup of sets is quite limited. Afaik a set needs up to 2 years from concept stage to release. So there is no direct feedback of his influence in that sector yet. So somebody else has to be "blamed" for Nexo Knights.

I agree, the right one looks more, well - right. It is btw. Interesting to see how the look of these corridors changed from the early seasons to the later ones. In the beginning they used a quite low-key lighting, allowing more shadows and lightspots, while the later ones are much softer and more homogenous setup. That also influences the way the colours look like. I would therefore, if in doubt, definitely choose my colours after the upper picture, since its more neutrally lit.

Very good points!

Ok, this is quite fascinating stuff reading how costly such a big project could become. 130 cm is really sizeable and would throw the amount of bricks into the tenthousands... have you considered building a darkside yoda? Red and black are much cheaper

I have never been to Amsterdam, but if it looks anything like your MOC, then I definitely want to go there! Its a beautiful build. Very friendly and tidy with some really cute interior arrangements.

This is really outstanding. There have been a couple of museum MOCs like this, but this one is by far the most consequent and inspired of them. The collections are full of great (and also very plausible, because realistic) ideas, the museum itself looks both stunning and thoughtfully designed. A brilliant build!

This is sooo evil - hilarious! I really like this evil red laser pinning poor turtle down. Poses, angles and build all work together perfectly. Really good work!

[MOC] LEGO Cockatoo - Brick Separator
Littleworlds replied to alanboar HK's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Now thats really a superb idea! I'm getting surprised again and again by the ideas people come up for using the brick separators. But its beyond just creative use of them: the whole build just looks great and very lifelike. Wonderful work.- 8 replies

Lovely detailed facade! Very realistic looking. Like taken directly from a real-life town and shrunken into lego-size. I also really like the name and theme of the store

Rome - Forum of Nerva - 962 A.D.

Very well done clash of two epochs. The medieval people and their constructions look appropriately dwarfed and out of place in the face of rome's crumbling imperial past. Its quite a touching sight you caught brilliantly. Its also fun to spot the little easter eggs you out in. Gandalf really comes around! -
Up front: I am not an expert in building Lego trains, but the first thing that came into my mind was putting it on a causeway. That's also a nice opportunity to put some vegetation along the track. Of course on a diorama of that size it is going to use up quite a lot of pieces. Especially if you want to achieve a decent amount of detailing. Giving it an internal structure made of technic beams should make it nicely sturdy though.

Very nice lines indeed! You achieved a very accurate Porsche-look. Just the engine isn't quite Porsche-typical. A flat 6 would be the classic choice

That looks really dangerous! Lovely Minifig customization and of course I'm happy to see the old pirate Captain from the first pirate wave. The white background works well. The picture is maybe a bit overexposed. I would try to reduce brightness and increase the contrast a bit. That usually makes things stand out better. Oh, and cool perspective. Looks really dynamic!

[MOC] Elves - fountain mansion and Dragon's hall
Littleworlds replied to Marishka's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very cute! The colours & shapes go very well together. I like the idea of loose transparent pieces as water as well. It mimics moving water perfectly. Looking at your build just makes happy -
Awesome! Very competent use of colours to create different terrains, which look absolutely legit. Great work!

This is really cool. I assume you use a piezo pickup to avoid having to put on metal strings? Anyway. Its a fun idea and it definitely works! -
I just had a go on it with gimp by myself. All I could make out was the Lego logo in the corner and the Star Wars-typcial banner on top when you turn the picture upside down. I'm not an expert with photo manipulation though, so others might be able to get more out of it. But I can already say I'm sure its not going to be a Death Star

This looks excellent! The deco elements inside make it look very atmospheric and inviting, whilst the facade gives it an appropriate, classical touch. The access to the are upstairs will be separate from the bar itself?

Thats a good mantra No matter how, it had to upset some people in the end. The nature of such KO-contests pushes it that way, delay or not. Give it all a good shrug and carry on folks. Its not the end of the world. Really.

Is there a minimum account-age for taking part in the poll? If not, maybe its a good idea to introduce one. Ideally the account has to be older than the poll it tries to vote in
