  1. Very cool! I agree that its perhaps one of the most complex buildings you can tackle with this scale. And you caught its appearance very well, which is an impressive achievement. A pity all the sloped don't come in pearl grey yet but the white works fine as well. Just beautiful all these curves and angles.
  2. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks! Heads shaking is something we encounter sometimes - its something to get used to. And honestly, building Lego is one of the nicest hobbies to have anyway. The alien looks really impressive. I sometimes use small amounts of clear nail polish to increase the friction on some parts. Usually Minifigure necks and hair though. But maybe worth a try for that too. See you around!
  3. Looks good! Nice shaping of her body - and the hair is excellent!
  4. That sounds really good. I like the idea of engine parts and helmets. Such props do a lot of atmosphere. You can also give the jukebox a mix of familiar looks and alien-components. Well, that actually applies to most of the bar really
  5. Looks good. Clever piece-use for the legs.
  6. Too bad I just see your thread right now. A space bar is a really exciting project to do. As for inspiration, I would definitely check out the Lego ideas fishing store that comes out soon. That looks nicely ramshackle and stacked full with stuff. The kegs are a good start. Maybe make several drinking or serving-devices for the many nonhuman species it will attract. Perhaps also a separated section they can hire to hang out without breathing equipment. I would also definitely put in some space themed props and souvenirs into. Classic space pieces like helmets and printed bricks - up to more recent stuff. Maybe a piece of a jedi star fighter wing as an easter egg suspended at a wall or an R2 waiter... Stuff like that. I hope you find my ideas useful. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
  7. Looking good! You folks really like the brick separators. Very inventive
  8. Looks good. It radiates a lot of power and rawness, a bit like a mechanical gorilla. Fun idea to use brick separators for it as well. The irony!
  9. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks!
  10. So rich and inventive. Beautiful scenes!
  11. From time to time it happens that I miss an excellent MOC, until weeks later someone (in this case Bregir) comments on it and it pops right up on top of the list of my unread posts. This is one of them, and it is really spectacular. Lovely, dense foliage and a beautifully textured watchtower. Great build!
  12. Ha! Such a fun idea! And super inventive. So few pieces... and yet such a complete transformation. Brilliant
  13. That looks really promising. How far back will the tile piece extend? Attached only at one point might make it quite wobbly.
  14. Hmmm, this is not trivial. I think the wings could be built with bricks oriented horizontally to achieve the rounded edges. This way you sacrifice the wing profile though. There are some builder, who made amazing planes that way though. If you want to keep a wing profile, you would have to stay with conventionally (studs on top) built wings, covered with slope tiles. That way it of course can look a bit "stepped" when you come to the edges. For the fuselage the beatles yellow submarine might provide some useful input in creating rounded surfaces. I think a 4-wide fuselage would be definitely easier to build than a 5 wide, but it really depends on the overall proportions which variant looks right. For the nose it looks like one of the old technic wheels might be just right.
  15. Very impressive skin you gave the tower. It looks almost woven. Brilliant idea! Tue trees are pretty impressive as well. Some really neat building in this MOC!
  16. Hello Dennis. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  17. Looks very good. Nice different colours and textures that really give the different buildings and structures their own character.
  18. How the water flows over it looks really amazing! Especially on the first picture that shows it from further away. Splendid work!
  19. Excellent review of a very overlooked set indeed. I should have grabbed more of them when they were still on the shelves. The build is simple, but a good excuse to pack a nice selection of accessories and parts into the box. Very useful! With a couple of those you had a really useful foundation for a pirates-theme. Thanks for digging out that gem for us!
  20. Thats really neat! How often have I seen this characteristic curved corridor section on TV! It looks very appropriate & transports the feel of the series perfectly. Sadly the gaps in the floor are quite visible. Maybe you try using horizontal bricks instead of tiles. The slopes might allow you to make the curve more subtle.
  21. Hello emporio and welcome to eurobricks - and welcome back to lego as well. I got the Y-Wing just recently and I can really recommend it. Its quite sizeable and detailed, which makes it a really nice display-piece. And that it was on discount did help as well.
  22. Beautiful! Car and truck both have this lovely vintage vibe and its just lovely how you showed the assembly of the ramp. Makes me smile. Really good work
  23. The Tron bike looks awesome, the arcade machines as well, but I am really taken by the Quest builder. A compelling idea, which is quite in tune with their (smallish) modular creator house-sets. Though - I am just wildly speculating here - TLG might rather make its own modular fantasy-line instead. Maybe with a nice reward for the submitter, so he won't complain they stole his idea
  24. Looks very good! They show quite an attention for detail and the right feel of the theme. Its all quite atmospheric and diverse, just as it should be and the Minifigures have character. Great work!
  25. Ha! Great idea! It looks indeed a bit bare, but its a toaster after all. They usually don't have the most exciting facades. I would nevertheless give a row of windows at the front a try. Something like an awning made of solid metal, so it give the appearance as if the toaster just popped open. Yes, that might work and not destroy the visual pun. Its just too good to have it ruined!
