  1. Looks really cool. Wonderfully nicely curved, clean and neat build - it just looks so right The engine looks very good as well. Simple but perfectly catching the look. Great job! P.S. I just saw this is your first post. Welcome to Eurobricks. Quite a way to introduce oneself!
  2. Hello Klaus and welcome to Eurobricks! A lot of people here (including me) are into aircraft and space, so that fits
  3. Ah well, the closer it gets to the final round, the harder the decisions get, and the more lovely Minifigs go. I will feel certainly something missing when this is over. Thanks for putting all the effort into the poll, Itaria Must be quite a lot of work!
  4. What a spectacular beast! Very organic and dynamic. It looks a bit like a cross between a dragon, Giger's alien and a stormtrooper. Has definitely style!
  5. Ah, I had no idea about those! Interesting!
  6. I would love to see a TES-theme! It's maybe a bit adult, but so are the DC and Marvel licenses as well (sort of). I'm sceptic though. Actually I would be over the moon if they would simply do a classic-castle-fantasy-theme. I'm sure the rest we can handle with customizing Minifigs and builds P.S. I think the topic is in the wrong forum. Just noticed its in the "community"-section^^
  7. This looks really good. A lot like the demonic world in TES IV: Oblivion, with all its thorns, dead trees, lava and black rock. Very atmospheric. Lovely MOC!
  8. Brilliant review. Photography, writing, ideas - all top notch. You really make the set shine. Your review actually makes me regret not having left my dark age a couple years earlier. Golden days!
  9. Hello & Welcome to Eurobricks! I like discovering new MOCs, so be our guest and post your creations!
  10. Hello Splashie & welcome to Eurobricks! I'm sure you find a lot of lovely creations here. Enjoy!
  11. Great idea! The look like they were made for it really. Everybody complaining about having too many brick separators should take an example on your flower.
  12. Having a new classic fantasy related-theme would certainly make a lot of people here happy, including me. But I don't think Lego is going to get the WoW-license, for several reasons: 1) WoW is likely going to be a quite costly license and with the LotR-theme falling quite short of its expectations, I doubt they are going to venture in that direction anytime soon. At least not based on a foreign IP. 2) WoW isn't really the hot stuff anymore. It's been around for quite some years now and other game franchises are more popular. Especially for kids. The sets would after all be marketed for kids since they are the bigger target audience. 3) I don't think TLG would jump on a license a direct competitor just dropped. I think Lego wants to be unique. 4) The recent WoW-film did fall short of its Box Office expectations and is now too far in the past to be relevant for a tie-in Lego theme. (I know, the Star Wars theme did very well without any movies, but that franchise is a different story. It seems to be an "evergreen" really)
  13. I was quite surprised seeing VaderFan being banned as well. I knew, he didn't had the best start in the forum and didn't show the wisest behaviour. I was actually not happy with some of the early posts he made. But as time went on, he actually showed good intentions and the ability and will to reflect on and learn from what he did wrong and changed his behaviour. So I think the current ban is very unfortunate, though it appears not to be related to the issues I mentioned, but was for posting a confidential image. That makes it kind of tragic, since I am sure he didn't mean to cause potential trouble to Eurobricks. I think it was, as it happens with him, one of these moments where he didn't think of the possible consequences his actions might have. I hope his ban is only temporary, since I do believe he is a positive contributor. About the board moderation itself: I agree with board members electing the moderators would open an ugly can of worms, with the obvious issues of it making a popularity contest and causing rivalries and tension across the board. So - better keep it as it is. It seems to work well after all. At least from what I have seen.
  14. Absolutely! It just doesn't looks right to me when a building looks like its close to collapse
  15. Ah ok, I try to clarify this: I mean the stone walls in particular. I would consider dark grey and even going towards sand brown tones. The colours so far look still a bit too uniform to me. Good idea btw to use the hinge pieces structure!
  16. Wow, this is highly impressive. Not only huge in scale, but also very well made. Everything looks just right, like directly taken from the film set. Brilliant!
  17. Nice MOC! Your Minifigs are really nicely made. Interesting combinations that work very well As for the build itself: the layout is really cool, as are the interiors. I would though give the stonework more detail. More different colours, like darker stones, moss here and there; vine growing up them as well perhaps. The wooden plank railing don't quite work with me btw. I would use tiles except for a couple of studded ones here and there, to create the illusion of actual planks, with different shades of brown to create a weathered look. All in all a really cool scene though!
  18. Hi Chris, welcome to Eurobricks! Sounds lovely! And I'm sure, when she is grown up one day and comes out of her dark ages (don't we all enter them at some point?), all her old Lego will wait for her
  19. I really like this! The buildings are super detailed, with lovely tudoring and brickwork, while at the same time look still solid and believable. That's where many MOCs fail IMO. Nice choice of colours as well and the layout makes it really interesting with the different levels and surfaces involved. Great work!
  20. I saw this one the other day on bricknerds page. Really cool build. Especially with the way you used the pink balloon pieces to create elegant organic shapes together with the more mechanical looking elements. Just beautiful and super impressive. This is really one of those showcase builds about the creative use of parts!
  21. Very nice to see the Le Mans prototypes getting some attention. They are amazing. Sadly your model doesn't really do them justice. The overall shape is too blocky and rectangular, which makes the car look like coming from the early 90s. There are so many great pieces around these days (round slopes for example) which would really lift your car to another level.Take, for example, a look at the speed champions-theme for inspiration. Also the car seems to be too long for its width. I would make it about 2 studs shorter.
  22. Looks really impressive. You captured the look of the original perfectly. I like the entrance section with the large billboards above most. They just are perfect urban art deco. Wonderful colour choice as well. A bit a pity that the interior is so basic, but regarding the sheer size of the build, I can understand why. Personally I would have chosen to make it less tall but use the material for one or two actual auditoriums.
  23. From my AFOL perspective I don't like the stud shooters. They are disproportionally large and chunky, and just look not great. Knowing though that AFOLs are not Legos target customer group, I am fine that sets come with them, if the kids like them better. After all, they are the people who keep the brand alive, because they are the ones by far the majority of sets goes to. Maybe a mix of both would be a solution. Equipping only half of the minifigs with stud shooters, or something like that. That still means a lot of potential for action. I doubt though that we will see fewer of them in future. At least not in smaller sets with no larger shooting option available.
  24. Looks stunning! Quite a chunky beast, but a beautiful one. I really enjoy the many detailing that is going on with it. Brilliant work!
  25. Looks beautiful! Definitely a high level of skill involved. Some really good ideas Though I would rather call it a "fantasy sawmill". That fits better to the design of the building on the left and the overall feel.
