  1. Did some parts testing to get a sense of scale. Big difference in size and height between ramps, but the 2016 airport building was 32 studs wide. The smaller curve would look decent as a roof with a seperate Control Tower next to it (like 2010). Compare to 2016 and 2010 buildings. But I wouldn't put too much into this , as the same map shows a (whipped cream) factory , a large train station and soccer stadium, and skyscrapers. It's just an advert for a map that comes with this book that's relasing next month mid-may , as you can see, it's very stylized. I'd think we'd get set pictures soon anyway.
  2. Saw a tiny impression of what the Airport could potentially look like in the City Magazine (issue 2). It's just a tiny drawing on a map, no actual LEGO model or anything, but it does show 2 grey rollercoaster tracks waving upwards, so basicly 1 side of the roof is taller, and then a square Control Tower attached to it. But on the same map they also show the old airplane from 2016, but the 2 rollercoaster tracks were mentioned at toyfair.
  3. I'd love to see at least some Soldiers, Armada or Islanders set in the near future, preferably a location-based Island or Fort. 3-in-1 Pirate Ship supposedly has a Tavern/Island build as well but I doubt it'll have much in terms of Soldier or Islander figures. A Chess set or People Pack with more Islanders would be very nice to see as well.
  4. Nice modernized version of a Classic for sure. I still like how they based the ticket booth/entrance to the Pirate Roller Coaster on the Lagoon Lock-up set as well, with the red/blue awning and palmtree at the corner.
  5. I do like the Kai, even would fit in as a fantasy fire figure alongside like Nexo Knight lava monsters (which I plan to do with this wave anyway)
  6. Well, the Rover set was known since Toy Faire but now I see some sites list it as Space Rover Explorer. It's a €50 set so not the smallest size, still the smallest of the summer wave, compared the €80 Caravan Trailer and €100 Pirate Ship. Now I read the Alternate builds on the €80 31108 Caravan Trailer set seems to be a Lighthouse and a Camper.
  7. White figure looks quite different yes.
  8. Hopefully we will see pictures of the 3-in-1 summer sets within 1-3 weeks. Still almost nothing known about this Space Rover Explorer set at all, and the Caravan Trailer set most that's known is the color Azure blue.
  9. Current 2020 Speed Champions are kind of overpriced, especially the Lambo set, €60 for 2 cars is just a lot. Also this new 6 wide base piece might be a bit too wide for most "City" cars, but it can work for vans/trucks. City has 2 different 2-Car sets from 2020 for either €20 or €25, obviously simpler but closer to 6-wide Speed Champion scale. Also a new car base for those , but the downside on that is different wheel pins compared to Speed Champion wheels. But that's just me, I don't need hyper realistic shaped cars based on real models, but I can see the advantage of 8-wide there. I also don't like stickered headlights. I did buy the 2019 Ferrari F40 and Porsche 911 cars as they still fit in City as road cars, but the 2020 cars are too big for that.
  10. Nice vehices, reminds me of the game F-Zero X on the Nintendo 64 (the F-Zero I played the most)
  11. Weird times we're in, just beside the virus situation, some recent economic measures/plans regarding retailers: - The Netherlands is planning to ban "Sale" (discount) on non-food items until July 1st. (no exact details yet) - Amazon France ordered by Court to stop selling non-essential items. (Starts tomorrow 15-April-2020 , or they'd have to pay a fine of €1million per day)
  12. 17 projects at 10k , 13 having been staff pick. As for the projects yet to reach 10k , I really like the concept of LEGO Hero Quest boardgame , 8.632 supporters and 502 days left. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/d0c19cd7-ad7a-4775-b185-debbf29968d7
  13. I don't think Ninjago will end soon, but I can see them making more extreme differences between seasons, just looking at 2020 going from cyber-punk gaming toward medieval skeleton dungeons is a big leap. And there's also still Legacy for more "Classic" Ninjago sets of the past.
  14. Nice use of a helicopter windscreen like that. The Darkblue and the A almost makes it fit in with Avengers vehicles of recent times, like the 2020 Speeder Bike. The Agents A and the Avengers A are a bit similar.
  15. Wings are very nice, and somewhat remind me of Ministeck art.
  16. I did keep the boxes from the larger sets back then (I cut off the front/back), but I also stored my instructions/catalogs/idea books inside a large Train box from set 4559. I especially was inspired by the alternate builds on 4559 Cargo Railway (1996). Alternate builds were even in the instructions for that set , a Steam Locomotive and a Rail Track Layer.
  17. Don't worry, I'm past the situation I'm still planning to build/modify a ship myself at some point later, when I get the Pirates of Barracuda Bay + the 3-in-1 Pirate Ship sets + using other parts I already have. Maybe I'll add some more green to the stern of the Barracuda to look more like the VOC Amsterdam (1748). Replica of the ship seen moored at a museum in Amsterdam :
  18. Haven't seen other versions but I think it was a nice start.
  19. Looks great, almost new again.
  20. Yes. I do like it, while I haven't MOCed my buildings yet, 16x8 is the main size used for those 3-in-1 sets of 2017-2018, I know this building is 16x6 but that's nice as well with the little sidewalk. The use of the Siren part and camera are nice. Buildings in sets like this as well are 16x6 (with a 16x8 base/roof) , I might turn that highrise into an actual building at some point. Sets like this as well :
  21. Can't see the images on pc or phone.
  22. I don't understand the complaints about lack of color, if someone clearly explains they don't have the parts on hand. I think it's nice to see people post MOCs that clearly show effort in shaping/design, not everyone has thousands of Euro/Dollars of LEGO to pick from. I do love those ships for sure @Disabella Are those Dutch flags on the ship in the back? And the Red Lion on yellow background from the coat of arms of the Counts of Holland.
  23. Pirates of Barracuda Bay was officially revealed little more then a week before availability. If this theme isn't announced by like 25th of April I'd expect a delay.
  24. LEGO makes plastic visors now to help hospital workers in Denmark and later Worldwide : https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-schutzbrillen-covid-19/
