Which is your preferred skull & bones emblem?
TeriXeri replied to General Magma's topic in LEGO Pirates
I do like the new one better, fits well with the minifig-head shape being more flat on top. Also the proportions with the smaller nose are more in line with more recent LEGO skeleton heads. Old skeleton head 1995-2016 Newer Skeleton head 2010-2020 I did have some skeletons back in 1995-1997 sets, but now also having some modern standard skeletons (I came back to LEGO after 2016), I must say they improved, not just the head, but also the way arms attach and can have different elbow shapes for arms. -
LEGO Creator 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It's certainly looks like one, even in it's blocky LEGO creator look which isn't a bad thing. At least it's the first proper Creator Spaceship that fits minifigs (not counting the 2017 Space Shuttle of course) LEGO made this alternate build in 2019 , and people were hoping for more Sci-Fi/Space, and LEGO did deliver -
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
TeriXeri replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very interesting theme, but no must-have sets for me. There are other sets for 2020 looking more must-have then this (especially the Ninjago Fantasy wave as far as Action themes are concerned, even from the little we've seen) Would've liked if they instead put those small shops in 1 set as a location-based + minifig set instead. But that doesn't mean those are bad sets, not at all. Still, no final prices announced, or if it's exclusive to LEGO stores only, could be another factor. -
I certainly see a lot of MOC potential in vehicles like this, combined with the big wheeled vehicles from Nexo Knights for example. Axl Tower Carrier was one of my favorite mobile bases as I never got a big Space vehicle like M-tron back then. Jestro's Headquarters also kinda reminds me of that Mega Core Magnetizer set as it has a crane and a vehicle storage.

LEGO Creator 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

There are some Castle/Fantasy-ish sets via Ninjago + Hidden Side. But hopefully some actual Castle Creator sets next year , at least there's the Blacksmith via IDEAS. -
I do hope a new LEGO movie franchise doesn't use existing characters like Batman etc again. While I understand it was mainly because of the LEGO Batman movie, I do hope LEGO can start with a clean slate and original characters again.

True, no typical overly bright parts, color scheme really seems inspired by this set , even similar style of headlights.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Yeah the 1997 Surface ships were better, LEGO parts wise imo. I only had the whale skeleton set which might have been the simplest looking ship of them all but the underwater content compensated for that. 2019 Diving Yacht was good too, even while it's a more speedboat shaped hull, a great set for €20. This one isn't bad if people want a floating big hull (it's actually 2 hulls connected), I also can see ship fans being able to customize this into a large cargo ship (or even passenger cruise ship with deep interior) with the hole in the hull. It still is an expensive set, I personally see more value in the Base/Submarine sets. Yes it's 2x 20x40x7. ship hulls : -
Set really surprises me, we hardly saw much Space sets via Creator but lately they really picked up their game, the 2017 Space Shuttle/Rover/Base was nice, but this looks even better. I didn't get the 2019 City Rover but this being a 3-in-1 just is very nice. The color scheme/parts remind me of the 2016 Vacation Getaway set, mostly because of those angled windows and the darkblue/red accents on white. Certainly allows for combining sets more easily.

LEGO Creator 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

All 3 sets looking fantastic , even the alternate builds. Overall I think one of the strongest 3-in-1 Summer waves as a whole (of course also the most parts of recent times), now I do hope 2021 will focus more on Houses again but all those sets have buildings as alternates. -

That Base and Submarine look amazing indeed. Really a throwback to 1997 Divers more then 2015. -
I do hope that the "blocking" of new Pirates submissions on IDEAS mean more sets via regular channels, those 2 ships released in 2020 , need some locations/rivals to plunder after all. Especially that Islanders Statue head in the Barracuda Bay is a big tease I hope LEGO has something more planned for. In the meantime, great work listing all the ongoing IDEAS we can still vote on. @leafan

Noticed that as well, looks like a blue torso captain with a red beard and yellow epaulets ,but can't see the face, so high-res would be nice indeed. At least the 2 cannons really add to it as well. I didn't collect the 2009 or 2015 Pirates so the similarity to those ships, especially the 2015 one, doesn't bother me.

I wouldn't call it the new normal yet, the ship has a small brick-built helicopter. 4 of such helicopters in a year might be a lot ,but I doubt we'd get many more , just like the 2019 Parachutes I think this is just a 1 year thing. -

Yeah, not interested in those myself either, would rather have had normal brick-built helicopters of yellow or green colors like that. -
Those Kai and Cole surge variants really will fit in together with Flama and Moltor and I love that. I know tastes differ, but I think those are fantastic. Maybe they are trying to lure in the Nexo Knights fanbase, and for me, that certainly works this summer wave.

Hmm, guess I was pretty close with my prediction to the airport building. ( the version on the right) , which I based on an advert for an upcoming City book. I do like the airplane much better then the 2016 version, the cockpit proportions are just better , loading a car like that is nice, and the stairs with wheels add to the set for sure. -

Submarine looks like great set with a good amount of underwater terrain, to go along the 2019 Diving Yacht etc. Ship is huge but also at a huge price of like €130+, it looks great, sure, but it's still mainly a giant single piece hull taking the big chunk of the price, but still it's been a while since City had a big ship, especially this size. I'm very interested to see the Base. -
True, I'd prefer Armada or Islanders over Red/Blue coats , and in 2021 it'd be 20 years since both were seen, and more then 25 years not counting those 2001 Legends sets.

2019 Summer Ninjago pictures came around 18 April 2019, so might be soon for 2020 I suppose. Will be the first season I'm really interested in the sets.

I updated the picture with a double-curve, think it'd make more sense for a roof, and then the tower at the side like 2010. Could even add some tilt via technic parts to rotate the roof to make it more horizontal, yet waved.
