  1. Really looks like Tan with Dark Tan plates inbetween floors.
  2. Castle has 2 prison cells at ground floor, so this will certainly be a set I'd actually use as (Fantasy) Prison, instead of the actual Prison set.
  3. It's not dumb, I was wondering the same especially about the lava below the big skull, on one hand it makes sense to have some moveable trans-orange pieces there, on the other hand it could just be background art.
  4. Looks like 2 canopies previously seen in the Pop-Up Party bus for the astronomy tower section .
  5. Now , those again really look amazing. A Skeleton Dragon totally fits here, and even the wing style fits with it being "undead" as seen in franchises like Warcraft. The Rhino looks great as well, overall love the parts and proportions used on it, interesting layered pieces for the armor as well + 2 more goblins.
  6. Maybe after the whole LEGO Movie memories passed there's more room for actual Space sets. 2019 was pretty filled with Space sets however, just via City and LEGO Movie 2, so another in-house Space theme that year might not have made much sense. But I can see while Benny's Space Squad was praised a lot from what I've seen, some other sets just disappeared real quick as if LEGO wanted to get rid of the theme as fast as possible at the end of 2019, even having their own shop having 40% discounts. Also the City Space sets seemed overall well received. Creator should focus on a big Castle set next year imo, to go along the IDEAS Blacksmith release. But I also do hope we get proper themes again as well instead of workarounds like IDEAS/Creator/Ninjago to get sets of the Castle/Space/Pirates trinity again, but I also realise themes might need to end for new ones to appear.
  7. Prison does look a little better from other angles, and did they use those Ninjago Arcade pod parts as door? At least it looks like this, but with less studs.
  8. I do like that they continue to offer those bit larger packs by subject with those sorting trays. Generally that keeps the price lower and those 3 sets listed at €20 seems very reasonable for the content. (not just PPP ratio) Of course they still get bracelets and other sets with rare/exclusive tiles, but those photo frames/jewelery box type sets are nice to see. Also a way to get multiple bracelets at once for less via that mega-pack. Also sets like that Desk Organizer could easily be integrated into actual City/Creator structures, using plates with 1x1 tiles as mosaic walls.
  9. Nexo Knights magazine did continue months after the 2018 sets. Release dates are different per country (different publishers/translations) but the last one, Issue 9 of Year 3, came out December 20 2018 here.
  10. I agree the big ship is overpriced, and can see how the underwater base uses the same system as the Space Station, but I still think the underwater base is the best set of the entire season, and much better then the 2015 base. Now , as for the 2019 Space figs, they could easily be used underwater as well (as they did with the Atlantis theme in another color).
  11. I really like how the skull is built. I was really thinking it was some weird technic-frame instead, but this is great that most of the set is fully system-built. Still very interested about the backside, the orange artwork makes it hard to make out if the skull inside has trans-orange inside like a lava-fall. Could make sense that the ninjas have to go upward on the sides first to deactivate that (like they had to with the prime empire temple set. In that sense it also reminds me of the Jestro's Volcano Lair layout. Also those tiles with 2 studs on them really look like board-game fields, where you have to throw the dice to move up, adding to the boardgame vibe, and those clips on the front might connect to another segment.
  12. Nothing really must-have here yet. Castle can still change that, as that's the main thing I was hoping for. Ninjago Skull Dungeon & Journey to the Dungeons don't disappoint , so this Castle has a high bar to fill.
  13. Great small dragon set for sure, to come with a Goblin as well. I never collected Ninjago but this wave is really looking greater with each set (the S13 sets).
  14. That neck mark on torso was used for a really long time. While early Town and Castle figs used a sticker on Torso in 1978, the neck mark appeared alongside the first printed torsos in 1979.
  15. I agree the colors could've been better, even more sci-fi space. They nailed the colors on the Pirate Ship set, with the blues and greens integrated properly for the ship, and then re-used as beach on the skull build, while this Rover set color scheme could've been anything as it's a fictional design based on some future and even has an alien in it. I also noticed the colors of 31052 , which was one of the best Creator 3-in-1 sets back then, and the same windscreens even, but that doesn't make it great colors for a Space set. The Rover set is one of those sets that are good, but not amazing , but still lead to a MOC potential, also is in the price range where it'll end up 30%-40% off after some time. (that's when I eventually bought the 2019 OutbackCabin and Carousel sets) I do have a lot of space figs from last year, and certainly got some ideas for a larger base out there, combined with parts from some Creator and City Space sets of the past 4 years.
  16. I can see the point of those cubes, mostly like a small scene or subject, but a bit more expensive compared to the Friends Magazine due to the outer box part. I personally rather see boxed sets with just parts but that doesn't mean there's no market for cubes. Also those random Animals add something extra to Cubes, usually not a huge fan of random but for those cubes it's just random colors.
  17. I think it might look smaller because they use darkblue parts for the lowest deck, whereas real ships mostly use a big white structure. Also the prefab hull has a hole at that spot so there's interior below deck. I'd think minfig can still sit at the bridge, but looks really small to have standing figures.
  18. As for the Mech, I do like the design, but partly also because Fire/Stone fits with my personal goal to those sets to use them mostly to expand the Nexo Knight monster side things of my collection. But it's not going to be the highest priority set vs location sets.
  19. I love that journey to dungeon set. It's a set you'd expect from a Castle/Fantasy line, no gimmicky vehicles, and just subtle grey/brown colors.
  20. I'd even think the upcoming Ninjago monsters (Troll, Goblin , Skeletons) fit even better with Nexo Knight Monsters, compared to those sci-fi bull figs, except maybe the cyber vampires from 2018.
  21. It's a similar system as the 2019 Lunar Space Station, to keep the scale/price down. Also the modules could be raised and lowered by the Crane on the big ship set, so people can "build" the station, or retrieve it back onto the big ship for repairs or something (imaginitive play) I can certainly see advantage of this system, people can even connect multiple sets easily to expand it, still a much better Base set then the 2015 one as it doesn't come with a seaplane taking a large amount of parts, instead I think integrating the vehicle as part of the base is a good change. But I can also see the point of comparing it with Aquazone bases etc, which overall had more interior space but nowadays would cost a lot more as well at that scale. $90 set would be $150 today.
  22. Same here, I did collect Nexo Knights so I got my fair share of mechs/monsters already, but the competition from the upcoming Ninjago wave and Hidden Side Castle is strong, I rather get locations instead of vehicles/mechs at this point.
  23. I'd think any form of ship, skull island or tavern is fairly unlikely in the near future (1-2 years) via IDEAS. Medieval Blacksmith is coming at some point, which could be re-purposed as a larger tavern I suppose. For Fortress type sets, or Islanders, no idea what LEGO's plans are, but having pirates with no other factions feels a bit empty, even with the 2 fantastic larger Pirates sets on the market in 2020. (I didn't collect 2009 or 2015 sets). A Chess set or Advent Calendar could also still be a welcome surprise.
  24. €10 Flower Garden and €20 Heartlake City Park Café (also was listed as Waffle House before) , certainly still interest me. Also a €30 Fashion Shop and €50 Beach House could have some potential for as location sets. Smaller Friends sets tend to have few to no vehicles so work well alongside Creator 3-in-1 and City scale When I started collecting City/Creator 3-in-1 sets in 2018, I was put off by Minidolls as well , but when I got some last year via a LEGO Movie 2 set (Popup Party Bus), I did buy this year's Barber shop and love it, and the 2 dolls that come with it. I still don't like flesh-colored minifigs however. While I didn't collect Elves, in hindsight I really do appreciate the locations they made.
  25. Biggest letdown of the large airplane is that the wing cuts off half the passenger section, could easily fit 4-6 more figs otherwise. Edit : I now see all the previous planes had a similar situation, and this one is 1 brick taller, and much longer so could fit a lot more people with mods. Last year there were some sets that came later in September like the Ski Resort. Also no people packs or Town Plan type sets makes me wonder if they still are made this year. Stonewars still lists 6 set numbers however.
