LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
TeriXeri replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
True, this license could go on for a long time, in all sorts of styles and sizes, and if they run out of ideas, they could even go as far as releasing same set twice in different colors (shiny pokémon), like they have done for Creator 3-in-1 , and some technic cars releasing in different colors. -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion

Those look quite strange, I know they kind of started this cube-look with the eevee model (which looks fine), but they overdid it on the others, and they lost the recognizable look of LEGO as well. Tbh might've been better with regular slope bricks instead of this shiny rounded cube look all over it. But it's nice to see smaller sets in the line at least. Obviously those are meant as playsets , not as display 18+, so can can understand why they did a smooth rounded design for kids hands to pick them up etc, I wonder how they'd look if they did them more like the mario character packs instead but that scale is likely too small to fit a smart brick. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
TeriXeri replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It originated as a game boy game first and foremost, it moves long past being an animated series focused thing for kids, nowadays, outside of japan, they release like new episodes in small batches, then you have to wait months for english or whatever other non-japanese language dub to appear, and then you get about a dozen episodes, and you have to wait again. While the switch games slowly have been giving more content and less exclusive (some still exists like unavailable mythics, or store-codes for the last gen 9 box legendary shinies), money has shifted to Fomo Champions battlepasses/GO passes and Trading cards (both digital and paper) , the switch games still sell about 1-2 dozen million copies for the most part (even spinoff like Pokopia was quite a success for a new-ish console exclusive), but it's moved far past the point of a kids tv show. And exclusives like limited pokémon to said country/time/event has been a thing for 30 years or so, so GWP don't surprise me at all. Then again, the hype will probably pick back up over the next few months/year as more info for Generation 10 / Winds+Waves arrives. That said, the way they released the first wave of sets, kind of pushed me away instead of drawing me in, it should've had more smaller sets for all ages instead of just some statues, same with how they handle LOTR really, so I definately agree. I'm at least glad the Creator sets got new version of the castle and pirate ship, and hopefully 2027 will have some house / shop again as those have been a bit sparse in Creator (although Friends has loads of compatible shops/houses so it's not entirely gone) -

Ok, I see it now, still, harry potter got it last. Maybe it's in some icons castle set or whatever in near future too. -
Chinese Traditional Festival Sets - Rumors and Discussion

Definately the best set of the theme since 2024 restaurant. Wish the horse costume fig was in it but oh well, getting an actual horse is nice, especially a color that was absent for a while. (2023/2024 had white horse body in some marvel/harry potter set but the last set it had a head with regular white horse bridle print was 2019 harry potter I think) Product picture are a bit weird when they show the horse with a gap, but it has a brick/tile on the other pics. -

I know , it's not a problem, 1025 + extra forms(tera/mega/shadow/gigantamax/regional/gender differences etc. forms) to choose from already. Would love to see a creator-style wave of sets with a few 3-in-1s , but would be harder to do with the way they do eyes/mouth as prints, but could still work for the Slowpoke line. Something silly like an unown 26 or 28-in-1 could be fun to see but maybe at smaller scale so you can actually spell words, and smaller round plates/tiles exist if they want the eye print to be used. -

Well, Pokémon day 30 years, came and went, so far , no new core games until at least 2027. Gen 10 starters did get announced , so LEGO sets of them will probably happen at some point but I don't think they'll make those until 2028. Or maybe the Costume pikachu's they showed. -

I think Gen 1 will definately be the main focus still this year, 30th year anniversary is for Gen 1, Fire Red/Leaf Green even come to switch now. Something Gen 10 seems likely for 2027 if it ends up releasing this november (speculation) Also could have something related to Z-A / Megas, or maybe a battle arena or w/e based on Champions (the official place for VGC) Pokopia is blocky enough to be Lego-like but I doubt they'll do moulded mini models that would fit inside a 2x2 area. Only see it happen if they completely scrap minecraft and animal crossing. I mean, it's still a while until something like 30th anniversary of gold/silver (1999 > 2029) , that leaves 2027-2028 pretty much open to anything. I think the concept of 3-in-1 could be interesting for something like Slowpoke > Slowbro+Slowking. (could even recolor it/update it a few years after with Galarian variants) If they wanted, they could basicly make thousands of different sets , and even go crazy with recolored sets for shiny variants, even if they stick with just brick-built. -
City definately could use some new actual City, I mean, the airport is fairly big and at least a little bit modular (technic pins to change layout). 60473 The City Tower doesn't seem like a big hit with it's retirement already planned before August 2026. 2026 so far with vehicle-heavy frontloaded but understandable with apparently the 2022 police station popular enough to warrant staying for at least 2026 and existing fire/prison infrastructure. Probably have to wait for either Creator / Friends or 2027 to see anything urban. But maybe the amount of huge-high-price buildings in the past year is taking it's toll a bit oversaturating/overbudgeting the LEGO lineup between icons (usually overscaled) and Friends. That said, the amount of vehicles in City means they can keep Friends, mostly focused on buildings, but a lot of the designs are very standalone and not part of a greater system of connectivity. Although sets like the rooms and 42680 Heartlake City Mini Supermarket may inspire kids/adults to finish the actual buildings themselves. But even Friends doesn't really live up to some of the strengths of older 3-in-1 line , which didn't rely on so many stickers for details. Still looks like a much better "era" for train fans and heavy construction equipment, as there is a lot more choice in recent years.

LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion

Doesn't look great considering the prices. Even if generous at €150 pikachu looks quite bad. Eevee looks better then Pikachu, choosing for a more flat design with just tiles/prints works for it. And then €175-200 blastoise/venusaur/charizard each don't look worth that at all, and I already went lower due to the huge base that's included. Even as a big pokémon fan, I think Creator 3-in-1 sets or whatever offer better value if you want some animal on display. A Switch 2 + HOME + Online + 1-2 pokémon games (depending on DLC) is a better gift for a kid imo, even scarlet/violet. -
I do hope summer will have something for Pirates , the ship/island/tavern 3-in-1 set sold from 2020-2025 (over 2x longer then Viking Ship) , and the shark/raptor/castle got followups (and recolor for the dino set)
-
I agree standalone would be better, either Cargo OR Leisure. Friends has been knocking it out again with their Room sets, and now for 2026 the Tiny Supermarket set is only €20 and packed with printed pieces , food items and a cart, and Friends buildings suggest making your own buildings more too, both interior and exterior the smaller rooms/shops can easily be integrated into MOCs. (and I don't mind using minidolls and minifigs together even tho some cases you have to adapt , like seating) City had this 8x8 / 8x16 system, and Creator 3-in-1 had it for a while too , but none of that seems to have stayed, even the French Fries food truck isn't compatible with 8x8 burger stand as the wheel arches limit it, only needed to be 1 plate higher... Airport is nice but a missed chance for a play feature by spinning the radar would spin the arrivals luggage belt and X-Ray.
-
With airport being apparently grouped under codename "My City", I do have some hope for 3 other structures/location sets for summer. Coastguard HQ harbour/building could be nice, maybe with another seperate Marina set (could connect to 2024 Harbour since that one had seperate modules) Tractor from 2025 (4+ and mini magazine gift) and 2026 could mean maybe another Farm set, since this 2026 one clearly has a new trailer system to put things on the back/front.

Very nice to see smaller offerings like mini supermarket, works well as little standalone playset, or expansion pack, and it even seems have all prints too.

LEGO Dreamzzz Ongoing Rumours and Discussion.
TeriXeri replied to Agent Kallus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Scorpion Digger uses basicly the exact color scheme of the Ninjago Crystal King, that's pretty cool, will go well with those thematically too. Also those little cats included are pretty cool, basicly Dreamzzz versions of Vaporeon, Flareon, Leafeon and Glaceon. -
Still a big chance for minifig sets in June or August as that has been a thing for the recent years now, especially since 2026 again has 0 yet, and all the 2026 are basicly small/medium.

True, also LEGO seems to be focused on a Fortnite crossover with Ninjago, so I think that'll be a bigger focus. -
Well, I don't really expect a big recolor either, the current works well , and the black/white/yellow still is a somewhat of a throwback to the police HQ of the 70s, just the 2022 station looks out of place now with the regular blue (but it was nice next to 60372 Police Training Academy) , but I assume it sells and they keep it around like 60312 Police Car (2022) . More sub-structures like 60457 Custom Police Garage could be an interesting concept to combine sets into a bigger building.
-
Really the main thing it could use is a new Police Station in the current colors, but 60316 Police Station (yes that's a 2022 set! so no constant remakes) is still around until end of 2026, alongside 60419 Police Prison Island. So I don't expect a big police reboot/recolor until 2027. I think 60456 Police Boat is one of the better value size/price sets from 2025 Police.

With Fortnite products having codes to redeem in-game, I really wonder if they have mystery gift stuff from buying LEGO sets. On one hand I hope not, especially not exclusives , shiny legendaries or mythicals, but getting some redeem code for a pokémon in the set with something like OT (original trainer) named LEGO, that could be fun. -

New pink color in 31218 Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape , really might be used for Pokémon as well, even just in Gen 1, there are the Clefairy, Chansey and Jigglypuff lines, and Mew which are well known by this point. New pink also seems useful for accents like inner ears/mouth of some pokémon like Meowth. -
Usually around 1st week of December.

This is cool to see. I still got a bunch of old paper catalogs. Sets also came with leaflets and mini catalogs. -
Is the medieval theme as popular as it used to be?
TeriXeri replied to plastic-man's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
2026 will be a key year to see how dedicated LEGO is to classic (= Non Licensed) themes tbh. Like everything "classic" Pirates, Vikings, Space, and Castle will be retired except for 1 set. I really hope that it's not all relegated to licenses, GWP and BDP sets. Also remember how BDP is also indirectly influenced by what figures/prints are available. I mean, I think City Space was a cool concept, but even those have some questionable quick retirement dates with the 2025 spaceship being a 1 year ordeal (but no differerent to Blacktron Renegade) But I really hope the 3-in-1 Castle (2025 version), gets a nice long lifespan, and a second followup set with the Serpents. And perhaps more future content with the Krakens/Gryphons and not just via BDP. Also themes like Monkie Kid and likely Dreamzzz might be gone (especially in 2027) , so a proper theme of sorts could still appear for 2026/2027.
