  1. Well, LEGO just made a new Black Seas Barracuda integrated into the IDEAS set, which was also a LEGENDS back then. It's not 100% the same of course, but if they'd do more like this, I'm definately interested in more Classic themed sets. I think it's a great re-imaginging of the original for sure.
  2. I love the pink pig, same color as the Nexo Knight pig but different eyes, but they'd make a nice couple. I don't see a monkey, but that's such a tiny nitpick at this point regarding that set.
  3. Well, this turned out even better then the original imo. The fact you can turn it into the (inspired by) Barracuda ship adds a lot more to it then just the original shipwreck parts as well. Even the Islanders Statue head is on point. Simply amazing. Add the potential 3-in-1 Pirate Ship/Island parts to that, and 2020 is a great Pirates Year.
  4. If the entire theme will end up exclusive , (read: Full Price) for a long time, certainly could drive me away from the theme. But I'm not in a huge hurry of buying new LEGO right now.
  5. Are those keys to his "Cloud (Vehicle)" ? Also the logo might be a take on the LEGO Space logo, blended with the City Cargo logo (grid lines), and then using a cloud instead of a shuttle/arrow.
  6. I'd rather get less colors in higher quantity. Unless they start bring back single-color or few-color brick-boxes. Right now Classic theme boxes have like 15-25 colors, with only a few parts in each type/color, good for kids or creativity, but not so good for bulk-building basic structures. The old BASIC/Classic theme had less colors and more basic parts to build houses with etc, like roof slopes. The more recent Classic theme has had Door/Windows/Wheel themed sets, but nothing like a big box with just bricks and slopes. Creator 3-in-1 had those large houses with sloped roofs, but they stopped making those years ago, and they are not the same as Modulars.
  7. In the current age (not including Covid), LEGENDS would be a lot more accessible. The original LEGENDS line was LEGO exclusive, so limited available. Internet shopping was a lot smaller, and there were far far less LEGO stores out there. Nowadays, there's a lot bigger market + nostalgia will also help, especially for 70s-90s sets imo. (I know year 2000s sets are wanted out there, as well, but bringing back 20+ year old sets would fit a LEGENDS line better imo)

    Lego stores

That Gouda store isn't an "official LEGO Brand store", but it does look nice, great models as well
  9. Love the goblin, certainly the same style of design/parts use as the Nexo Knights book-keeper but there's no problem with that.
  10. I got a whole lot of them via those Nexo Power polybags, I think I have almost 30 of them total now, including from sets.
  11. I like those hoods/shoulder armor a lot. Also the green/black/white sorcerer and green/black skeletons would fit right with the 2018 Nexo Knight monsters faction, for me at least, they never got a Castle/Dungeon type set so the Skull Dungeon/Dragon might be nice there. Wonder if the Dragon is green/black as well.
  12. Certainly love the figures, the black/green skeletons fit right in with the green/black Nexo Knight monsters of 2018, and the Ninja-knight outfits do look nice with the knight-visors and armor prints, shields look very nice as well. I like the more fantasy/medieval take on the theme for sure, the Dungeon and Dragon vibe is nice. I actually like this upcoming season a lot more compared to the Gamer theme, and I'm a big fan of Nexo Knights.
  13. Exactly how I see it , food and health are 99% , (New) LEGO maybe 1% of my concern right now.
  14. I never collected the theme, but the upcoming Castle / Fantasy type sets might likely change that.
  15. I notice some hair pieces can be very loose, especially some specific designs for me (Rex Dangervest / Long Ponytail / Sweet Mayhem) , and those were new figures.
  16. LEGO Brand Stores close following COVID-19 - Brickset https://brickset.com/article/49365/lego-brand-stores-close-following-covid-19 Also Twitter @LEGO_Group :
  17. Great figures for sure.
  18. For me, this'll be my first Redbeard (I had Ironhook from a 1994 set) and I even think it's by far the better one of the modern remakes of him. Not everyone here collected Pirates in 2009 or 2015.
  19. Comments get lost easily as articles get old, Forums are more organized for longer periods of time. Just to compare Eurobricks forums to Brickset articles , articles are easily found for maybe a week at most if popular, forum topics go 5-10 year back on here and aren't buried into a single blog-post type comment section.
  20. LEGO only just now applied their "City" logo trademark (likely to combat clone brands from using it), so I doubt this 42 year old fire logo has any serious copy issues until it'd be used in a clone-brand set, and this one is reverse even.
  21. Still looks a whole lot more fun then Phone based Augmented Reality. I'm glad LEGO is not going all digital video game on it. And it still doesn't rule out Minifigs or other types of sets along the 14 sets, we'll see. If we look at Minecraft for example, over the years it went from microscale, to minifig, to Brickheadz and now other brick-built figures, and I don't think this will be just a 1 wave thing.
  22. Leaf turned out to be Mario, so all the set size/weight/age/piece count speculation applies to that now.
  23. Still , parts count and prices vary a lot between the sets, so maybe part of the sets are this game style and some other sets are more minifig focused. Of course, including large parts or an electronic bowser or something would drive up the price/part ratios for sets like the €60 set with 231 pieces (pure speculation) But there is also a 1010 part set for €100
  24. I think this is very cool, much more interesting then Phone-APP LEGO.
  25. Italy closed all non-essential stores, certainly will have some impact there on LEGO retailers.
