  1. This building was inspired by set Modular Building set numbers 10246: Detective Office, and 10190: Market Street. The first floor's look was totally taken from 10246, while the roof details are from 10190. The levels lift off like a modular but it lacks modular building pins, a base-plate and is not the proper size, being 18 studs square after all. Also, the year 1897 should be above the front door in printed black 1 x 1 tiles. Built as The Highlander Bar in 1897, it served root beer until Johnny Thunder bought it in 1918 after returning from serving in World War I. He then turned it into his personal office and living space. The back of the building features four windows, but no back door. The bottom floor holds the actual office with a desk + chairs, artifact display case and three large filing cabinets full of important contact information, treasure leads, and reports of strange occurrences, along with the occasional Vegemite Sand-which. The top floor is his living quarters, with a bed, table, stove, and telephone. The car sitting outside is Johnny's Treasure Raider and was built in 1924 to help keep Johnny mobile in high risk situations, such as being shot at by Lord Sam Sinister. in reality, the Treasure Raider is based off of set 7622, Race for the Stolen Treasure. (2008's Indiana Jones theme) This is a better version of the Treasure Raider that I made a couple months back. This vehicle features a spare tire, head & tail lights, plus a good old adventurer favorite: the classic two seat piece from way back in 1998 and last in 2013. Here is the LDD file for the car and building: http://www.mocpages....1427128673m.lxf Comments, Questions & Complaints welcome!
  2. Thanks! I'm thinking of making a black version of this ship, because I can't afford the normal scale Black Pearl + Technic Sails MOC I made, (see here: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=84508 ) but I can definitely afford the small version.
  3. Thanks, Scotnick designed the 9F and then I modified it. I have the engine in real life and it really is a well designed masterpiece.
  4. Shiver me timbers!! It is is the ominous Flying Dutchman & it's cursed Captain, here to invade this here index! the Flying Dutchman and Captain Vanderdecken Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107186 LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1426873574m.lxf
  5. LDD/MLCad 16A We all have heard of the famous ghost ship Flying Dutchman with it's cursed captain, Van Der Decken. He and his ship must sail the seas forever, constantly tossed about in a perpetual storm for some unknown crime against nature. Any ship that sights the Dutchman must pay the cost of a life to become a part of the un-dead crew. That unfortunate person is usually the first to see the ghost ship, who normally suffers from a fatal accident soon after spotting the vessel. Well, I made my own version of this ship of terror inspired by Spongebob set #3187, Flying Dutchman. I elongated the ship and added another mast... here are the pictures. But first is the original set for comparison purposes. ...and here is my version! Captain Van Der Decken (owner of the Dutchman) has a legendary sword that allows the owner to live forever, but at the cost of his soul and for eternal service to the sword. He steals at least one soul from any ship that sights his vessel, slowly building his navy of sailors into a large and formidable force to be reckoned with over the centuries. The primary use of the navy of the dead is to help the Evil One on the battle with the forces of good at the end of time... but until then, they collect souls in their bigger-on-the-inside pirate ship. Here is the stern (rear) of the ship. The Dutchman features eight guns instead of the original four, and two masts instead of one. I also elongated the ship to make it's proportions look better. This is the Captain of the ghost ship Flying Dutchman, cursed to sail the stormy seven seas for eternity with his undead crew, bringing death and misfortune to all that see him and his ship. Captain Van Der Decken "won" the sword from it's previous owner, a captain whose name was Davy Jones. He claimed the sword in the heat of battle with the ghostly crew sometime in the 1700's, and in doing so, released the last owner from service, turning him to his true 200 year old self. (AKA, dust) After that, Van Der Decken realized no-one can board the ghost ship unless he allows it, and then he must find a suitable heir to the sword. As Van Der Decken relishes life and fears eternal punishment for his crimes against life, he will not let anyone board the ship, and as such has been Captain longer than any one else in history. If he has his way, this will remain until the end of days, when the crew will land at the closest sea port and will help the Evil One battle for control of the fate of humanity. Here is the LDD file for the ship and it's captain: http://www.moc-pages.com/user_images/80135/1454535138m.lxf Please note, that in the LDD file these parts are not quite right: the captain's suit is not correct ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pb1929c01 ) the sails of this ship should be printed, ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30562pb020 ) and his hat should have a printed brim ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=95222pb03 ) The head is a stand in, but you can use whichever one you want. Comments, Questions & complaints welcome!

  8. Sorry for the double post, but I have updated models to post! I have updated and improved the first post to include new / updated LDD files, new pictures and new features.
  9. Sorry for the double post but it's time for an update: I have modified the red BR class 57 into a blue Class 53. I also renumbered it 6280. This is the real life History of class 53: (courtesy of Wikipedia) British Rail assigned Class 53 to the single Brush Traction-built prototype locomotive Falcon. While not in any sense a failure, the design was the victim of advances in locomotive technology (specifically, the power obtainable from single low-speed diesel engines) and was never duplicated. In the real world, this engine lasted 14 years from construction (1961) to scrapping (1975). This is where my fiction diverges from real life facts: In 1975, at the last minute before scrapping, the engine was purchased by the LEGO Rail Transportation Society (LRTs) and renumbered 6280. It retained it's old color scheme of British Rail blue, but with the slight modification of the yellow head codes painted blue as well. Statistics: Engine Number: 6280 Engine Type: Diesel, mixed traffic Configuration: Co-Co Engine Class: 53 Designer: Brush Traction Build Date: 1961 Builder: Brush Traction Current Owner: Lego Rail Transport Society (LRTS) Length: 42 studs Width: 6 studs Height: 9 â…” bricks Top Speed: 100 MPH LDD file for the Class 53: http://www.mocpages....1426727879m.lxf This engine was updated to have the better boiler from set 79111 (Constitution Train Chase), and a different dome on the boiler to keep it unique. Statistics: Engine Number: 4818 Engine Type: steam, freight Configuration: 2-8-0 Engine Class: 8F Designer: William Stanier Build Date: 1937 Builder: Crewe Works Current Owner: Lego Rail Transport Society (LRTS) Length: 49 studs (with tender) Width: 8 studs Height: 9 1/3 bricks Top Speed: 70 MPH LDD file for the updated 8F: http://www.mocpages....1426772675m.lxf EDIT: the first post has been updated.
  10. This thread has come full circle: this Birney (I originally called it an Ogel) was one of the first models I posted back in 2011 and now it's back in 2015! man, how time flies! 11. IG&WER stands for Ironwood Glencoe & Western Electric Railway, is a fictional streetcar service linking up with the real-world based St Louis Public Service Company at the edge of service at the Creve Couer Lake line. The IG&WER company provides interurban service to the towns of Glencoe, Ironwood, & Pacific in St. Louis county, and an extension to Weldon Spring and downtown St Charles (in St. Charles county) with another connection to the St Louis Public Service Company at the St Charles Rock Road Bridge loop. The line started in 1917, and ran past the end of the St. Louis Public Service Company streetcar's in 1966. It has updated somewhat to the times, using multiple unit diesel commuter cars. The electric streetcars still run on occasion. The connection to St. Louis from St. Charles over the Rock Road Bridge was terminated in 1992, as the 94 year old bridge was demolished in 1998. It has not yet been replaced, and as such their is no connection with St. Louis Light Rail, (known as Metrolink) but plans are in the works to have it connect in Southern St. Louis county. This would extend the line from Creve Couer lake to Shrewesbury, Missouri to connect with the Blue Line near the end of the line. Here is the logo of the IG&WER This is a Birney Safety Trolley. It was constructed in 1917 as part of an order of 25 cars for the fledgling IG&WER. In reality, this 8 wide Birney Safety Trolley was built in 2011 and based on the work of Brickshelf user J-2 and his vintage 2003 model of the Mister Rodgers' Neighborhood Trolley. (link to it here: http://www.brickshel...ery.cgi?f=37552 ) I have modified that users' model to have enclosed sides and a simple connector for running multiple trolleys together. Here is the side of the car, which features five rows of seats. Unfortunately, a mini-figure can not sit in the seats. This model is 8 wide and originally had space for a 9V motor in place of regular wheels. I changed this in the design stage to it's current non-motorized form. LDD file for the Birney: http://www.mocpages....1426554435m.lxf This bi-directional car was one of 30 purchased in early 1928 for the extension to St. Charles county and onward to the connection to the St. Louis Public Service Company at the Missouri River's Rock Road bridge. This Peter Witt streetcar model was originally a Pacific Electric "Red Car" made by TJJohn12. (link: https://www.flickr.c...57605964329366/ ) It features two rotating wheel-sets with extra small flanged wheels and a 7 wide body. I actually own two of these, though I seldom use them because of squeaking coming from the axles / wheels, which I consider a failure-point of this design, and the reason I want to replace it with a couple PCC's. The roof of the car is removable, and features 16 seats facing both ways inside the bi-directional car. The model also has quite a bit of Studs Not On Top (SNOT) construction, along with the unusual width of 7 studs. The model features four non-functioning doors that are actually sideways plates. The two inner doors are for exiting the car, while the two end doors are for entering the vehicle. LDD file for the Peter Witt: http://www.mocpages....1426554630m.lxf This PCC was one of 20 delivered in 1941 just before the start of World War II. They proved vital to the survival of the IG&WER as the Birney's built in 1917 were too small and worn out to continue service under the austerity measures and lack of experienced personnel of the Second World War. By the end of the war, the streetcar line had to be moved for the Weldon Spring Ordnance Works which eventually (1955) went on to refine uranium ore until 1966. (These facilities really existed, and here is a wiki link to it: https://en.wikipedia..._Ordnance_Works ) This Presidents’ Conference Committee (or PCC, for short) streetcar was originally designed by flickr user jwolfe7. (link: https://www.flickr.c...157629417792232 )I copied the design using his helpful instructions and added side skirts inspired by James Mathis' design dating from 2002. (link: http://www.brickshel...ery.cgi?f=25115 ) Combined together, these features provided the groundwork for this streetcar. This is the rear of the 6 wide car showcasing the two tail lights and trolley pole. The wheels on this car, as with the Peter Witt, are rotatable a full 360 degrees. Unlike that other car, full size wheels are used, removing the migraine-causing squeaky wheel noises. LDD file for the PCC car: http://www.mocpages....426554862m.lxf Here are all three streetcar types together. Comments, Questions & complaints welcome!
  12. Yeah, but I can only buy from the USA. Anyway, the ship should be finished soon, as the bulk of the Bright Hope is here but 43 crucial pieces are not. I will update this thread when it's finished. I have to note as well, the awesome Neo Nexus Force sister-ship built over on MOCpages: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/408646 It is the Shinning Star and was built by Scott Bourgeois, a good friend of mine and a prolific space builder.
  13. Thank you, i 'm revamping the Nexus (orange) car as we speak to include a better front end and this logo on the rear:
  14. Thank you for your kind comment! The green island racer was originally designed by my Brother in tan on MOCpages (link: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/383615 ) he later added opening doors, and I put a newer engine on it, while I made the Treasure Raider from set Indiana Jones set 7622, Race for the Stolen Treasure. Yes, cars were poor looking back then, but at the time they were the best. In 10 - 20 years from now, these cars will look very much the same way as the oiffical models.
  15. Thank you. You are more than welcome to use this Model on your moonbase.
  16. Please note: this build was inspired by Whoward69's signal tower, (link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/whoward69/3518188366/in/faves-55973205@N08/ ) this enlarged version features two modular-style removable sections (the roof and second floor) and a staircase to the upper floor. This model was designed to go along with my 7997-style yellow train station (Topic here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=92328#entry2162915 ) to go on my Lego layout. The rear of the tower is not decorated, save for some blue grill bricks and 1 x 6 arches. The name "TOWER 22" will go on the exposed studs on both sides. The signal gantry splits at the same level as the building's second floor, and is held onto it's base by a black 2x2 jumper. The tower has a computer on the second floor for train signal / switch direction control. This floor also features a clock, rotary dial telephone and a table lamp. Please note: The signal gantry was inspired by the one at L Gauge.com's instructions section. LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1425751773m.lxf Here is the tower with the station, which I already have built. Comments, Questions & Complaints welcome!
  17. Sorry for resurrecting this 1 year old thread, but I have an update of sorts. The signal tower seen above is on my to-build list, while the station needs to be photographed in real life (hopefully soon!). Anyway, I've also updated the first post's pictures and LDD file. I hope you guys don't mind this little bump.
  18. Nexus Force space fighter - set 10191 MOD LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1425949177m.lxf Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106512
  19. You are welcome. I hope you didn't pay a ton of money for it, as they are getting quite expensive on BrickLink, but In my opinion it's well worth it. I'm planing on using these torsos for pilots ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pb1683c01 ): along with this headgear in orange ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=87781 ): and plain orange pants. Also, I will use the Galaxy Squad orange robot head ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11589pb01 ) for a droid: These will replace my original LU astronaut.
  20. I've been thinking over my Nexus Force fleet, and decided to find a new fighter to replace my tiny official rocket. So I went model searching on Bricklink and stumbled upon the Ghost of LDD Versions Past. In case you are wonder what the heck I'm talking about, here's the answer: set 10191, Star Justice from 2008's Factory line (link: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?S=10191-1 ), was the original model that inspired this ship. More information and the LDD file has been added to the first post. Also, due to the Nexus Force logo not being found anywhere but a expensive mini-figure torso from a limited edition polybag, I have decided to change the logo to something different. This new logo is seen in the 2014 CITY Arctic sets (photo from Bricklink). I figure this is my in-universe explanation of the logo change: The Nexus force landed on an ice world named DY-17, (this was soon to be renamed Ice Station Destiny) in a bit of desperation, as the Maelstrom had damaged their escape cruiser, the Bright Hope, to the point of near hyper-drive core failure. The ships sensors located no technology on the surface, and not many life forms, but a lot of geothermal activity in the form of large heat/steam vents from the core to the surface, which could be used for emergency power. The ship landed, and soon the base camp for the crew of the Bright Hope was set up. It was then discovered the planet had many mineral deposits that happen to be compatible with the metal in the Hyper-drive cooling system. So, the minerals began to be mined, and pretty soon the crew had a good operation going that was almost self-sufficient and very eco-friendly. A vote was taken, and the crew chose to stay on the ice world they re-named Ice Station Destiny, as the planet had supplied all of their wants and needs. The logo was repainted to show the original Nexus logo as a distant star, signifying the journey taken by the Bright Hope to their new home world, which was symbolized by the ice-covered world on the logo. The Bright Hope and crew were eventually discovered two years after their landing on Ice Station Destiny by Benny-the-1980-something space guy and his Classic Space fleet. Benny formed a friendship with supreme Commander Bob of the Nexus Force and offered an Alliance between the two forces, and the rest is history.
  21. Thank you for your kind comment. I have trouble picking out a favorite myself! The first post has been updated by the way!

  24. The inside of the building has been heavily modified, and the first topic changed to reflect this. As for the changes between the last time I uploaded this and now: LDD file re-uploaded because of changes to it. I have added an actual staircase to the top floor instead of the previous ladder. Here is the inside. Johnny's desk was changed, plus his car has been added to the LDD file. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1423430126m.lxf
