  1. It looks like a good replacement for the Palace Cinema limo. Do you have any more pictures?
  2. What about Johnny Thunder and Lord Sam Sinister? We just go Johnny in a TLM set, so they could re-use the hat mold, and Sinister wouldn't be that hard to do as a boss... EDIT: forgot Sam's title
  3. update! I have added another engine to this page: Can a moderator please change the topic title to "American steam Switcher locomotives - Brick Railway Systems" instead of it's current title? Thanks in advance!
  4. 4-4-0 Steam Engine - with passenger train LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1428593703m.lxf Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103409
  5. Sorry for the bump, but I updated this model. I have changed the tender to have Anthony Sava - inspired stripes. The letters BRS (standing for Brick Railway Systems) should go on the tender, while the number 11 should go on the sides of the cab. Also, this model was partially inspired by set 7597 and Hunter Dobbs' steam engine "Old Man of the West".(seen here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/348958 )
  6. I have an update for the brown roadster and Benny's car: Some parts of the old moc were did not exist in the right colors, so I fixed it. LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1428415439m.lxf This model was updated on 4/8/2015, and now features reinforced base, better rear-view mirrors, and trans-yellow headlights! I also fixed the hood, making it more rounded-looking. These changes were made to reflect the real life model. LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1428499786m.lxf
  7. 2 hours, 40 minutes of music, which includes Songs of Distant Earth, Music of the Spheres, Five Miles Out (song), and Tubular Bells. I borrowed these from my father vast CD collection and downloaded them onto Itunes. I've currently named the playlist the Odyssey of Sound, and am looking to put Tubular Bells III on there, but I don't like Tubular Bells II at all.
  8. Five Miles Out by Mike Oldfield, followed by Tubular Bells, (parts one and two) from the original album, by the same author.
  9. I'd have to say option 3.) Wandin Valley, because your wife has supported you this far, why not take time and do a tribute to here tastes and such? Just a thought.
  10. I first started posting this story in February 2013, with the last segment being posted March 23, 2015. It tells the tale of Bob and his past, present and Future. This may or may not be the same Bob that runs the Neo-Nexus Force, but of a possible alternate universe Bob. Also, this is space related, and so I posted it here. If it needs to be moved eslewhere, feel free to move it. Bob, famous for his smile and being the new leader of the NEXUS force, was not always famous. He was first mentioned in the historical record in 1978 when he bought a house at 376 Garden Heights for him and his wife. (Her name is unknown at this time) At this time in his life, he was 20 years old, and was looking for work in the space exploration industry, notably working with Albert Overbuild on the plans that would eventually become the Venture Koi. In 1990, Bob was stricken with grief over the recent death of his wife (name still unknown) due to her accidental exposure to high radiation levels. (She was working on what eventually became the Imagination Reactor for the Venture Koi.) With her irradiated remains shot into space, Bob built a monument dedicated to his beloved wife and pledged to help further their dreams of space exploration. Here he stands in front of the marble monument located in Zorillo Plaza while putting on a brave face for the camera. Around 2006, Bob signed up for a possible crew assignment onto the recently finished Venture Koi. He was not picked, as the entire ship was rented for a voyage to find the Imagination Nexus, funded by Baron Typhonus. After the ship was destroyed in orbit around planet Crux, Bob built more ships of bigger and better designs, and eventually was assigned as captain to the Venture Explorer. He was on his 20th flight to the Crux system in late 2010 when he was attacked by Maelstrom forces, and forced to flee. He is the picture of him fleeing the corrupted vessel. After fleeing, he was kept a secure location by Dr. Albert Overbuild in order to train him for the evacuation of the Crux System, just in case the Maelstrom got the upper hand. Little did they know what would happen next... (the following segment happens after my current story-line, where the maelstrom takes over LU on January 31st 2012 and the Nexus Force flees to our universe through a now-closed inter dimensional portal in February of that year) Bob had suppressed the Maelstrom by flying into our universe. Peace reigned for 26 years before the evil Baron Typhonus found a way to open a indirect pathway to the Nexus Force's new home: our universe. By using his powers of corruption, he manipulated a world of insect-like creatures to attack New Crux, the Nexus Forces' new base of galactic operations, consuming it whole. Bob, leader of the Nexus force was on Earth at the time, and watched as the Insects established a based on Earth's moon. From there, they opened a portal to allow the Maelstrom to enter our universe. Needless to say, the stress on the moon caused it to implode, killing the insect swarms instantly. Bob, now without any formidable fighting force, was left stranded on Earth as the Maelstrom bombs fell. There was one hope left, however: Bob had been given several weapons from the old Nexus leaders designed as a last resort: Imagination powered swords, staff, and an war ax. When thrown into the Maelstrom, their incorruptible nature would end time & space itself in a huge explosion destroying all that existed in the Universe. Bob, the fearless leader, adventurer, & husband, took the weapons and hurled himself into the gaping maw of the Maelstrom from the top of the Empire State Building... When Bob awoke, it felt like he'd been sleeping forever. Suddenly, he remembered: the Maelstrom, the four weapons, falling from the Empire State Building and then... nothing. He sat up, which was weird since he should be dead, and the universe should have ended. Bob was then distinctly aware that he was being watched. He reached for his blaster, which was not it it's holster on his cybernetic leg... which wasn't there either, for that matter. He looked around and saw someone he thought he'd never see again except in his dreams: his wife. She didn't say anything, and didn't have to. They ran together and embraced each other. It didn't matter where he was or whether he was hallucinating in a hospital bed or not, at least he was with her again. And that's only where he wanted to be. ...in the fading light of the sunset on a unknown planet, a certain Baron pays his last respects to a brave mini-figure... Any and all thoughts are welcome on this story!
  11. Here is the steam engine 4460 steaming and alive sometime in it's working life. (Picture from the Facebook page of the National Railway Historical Society, St Louis Chapter) IT IS NOT MY PHOTO! April 16, 1959, Fifty-six years ago this month, the last Daylight to run in revenue service was handed over to the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri. It has since sat there, trough several generations of museum visitors, awing and inspiring children and adults with it's semi-streamlined exterior. It has been moved occasionally, but never fired up since it's last run in Oakland, California in 1958, when a local boy scout named Jan Snyder played taps for the final steamer to run in regular service on the Southern Pacific. When I see these engines, such as 4460, I don't see tombs of steam and steel. On cold and snowy winter Saturdays in the museum when no one else is around, and you listen very, very closely, they speak the language of squealing brakes and shrieking whistles, of high drivers and and hot boxes, of slow drag freights and fast passenger trains. You see, these train were living and breathing once, and I believe their ghosts haunt the shells of cold steel, just waiting to be become warm and alive once more.
  12. I updated the first post of this thread to include a redone LDD file and new pictures. Here is 4460 at Barretts Station, Missouri.
  13. Thank you! Black with red wheels would look good, and I can't wait for you to post pictures. (either real photos or LDD screenshots)
  14. Update: I have calculate version 3 at about $150 USD, while, version 2 is around $230. now all i have to do is save enough money to buy version 3. Also, here's a simple picture I made for my computer desktop, showing off Barretts Station with Southern Pacific 4460.
  15. Looks good to me. Great work on this latest update, and keep on steaming!
  16. Now for a CITY vehicles update! 4 wide POLICE squad car LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1422742404m.lxf Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101622 Anglia 105E - Black LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1425155138m.lxf Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101622 1950's delivery truck LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1428181942m.lxf Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101622 US Postal Van LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1423179965m.lxf Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101622 That's all for now.

  18. Thank you, It looks simple, but in some parts of the design process, it was complex. For example: For a long while I struggled to put a staircase or ladder to the upper floor. Eventually, I gave up and determined the mini-figure posted there is on duty until the day after the end of time.
  19. This model was inspired by set 10199, Winter Village toy Shop. The model is up for a remodel into a double sided version with a bigger interior, so I though I'd take some pictures while it's still together in this form. The platform splits off into three parts: left side (which is about three tracks in length) right side, (which is about one track long) and the building itself. (which is two tracks in length) The building is open backed, and features a desk on the top floor and ticket counter with cash register on the first floor. Please see this thread for the replacement station: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107729
  20. Here is a major update: Pictures of the train in real life! The locomotive is a 2-6-0 (two leading, six driving, and zero trailing wheels) steam locomotive. Engine number 4613 usually pulls the Emerald Express. Combination baggage and passenger car for the Emerald Express. Two identical passenger coaches for the Emerald Express. The observation car of the Emerald Express. The letters BRS stand for Brick Railway Systems, the owner of the train.
  21. ...Sorry for the double post, but I recently took real life photos of this station. Here is the real world version of my yellow railway station. It features two removable platform sections, detachable second floor and tower roof plus detailed interior. Here is the side that faces the parking lot. Here we can see the interior of the station, with ticket machines, seating, and snack bar on the first floor, and switching machine on the second floor. Any thoughts / improvements / complaints are welcome!
  22. Update time! 4-wide police car Inspired by set World City set 7030, (Squad Car, link: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7030-1 ) this car is a modern update to that 12 year old set. (man am I old!) This model features an extended frame and new wheels, courtesy of the CARS theme. I built this model for my Brother, Austin, for use on his town. The interior can seat one figure and features a steering wheel. The rear bumper also features a licence plate. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1422742404m.lxf Anglia 105E - Black This car type is famous for being used in the movie "Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets". In real life, this car type was built from 1959 - 1968. The engine was a straight in-line four cylinder, and the body came in 2 door saloon, 3 door estate & 2 door panel van. I built the LEGO version in LEGO Digital Designer and real life. The rear of the car features a non-opening trunk made to look like the original set 4728 model. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1425155138m.lxf 1950's delivery truck This model was partially inspired by set 10222, Winter Village Post Office. I took the original model and enclosed the rear storage space and added a new front bumper / engine area. The model seats 1 mini-figure and has doors in the rear for storage. LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1428181942m.lxf Postal Van This mail van was inspired by Dacta - Town set number 9333 (link: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=9333-1 ) The set features a bunch of vehicles, one of which is a red mail van, which I stretched out, changed the colors, and added letters to the side. (these are supposed to be signs, not actual letters) This model was also partially inspired by the United States Postal service vans I have in my area. The rear features two tail lights and a license plate. The rear doors do open and there is space to hold stuff in there. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1423179965m.lxf
  23. Welcome to Train Over-achievers Anonymous My username is Murdoch, and i'll be you guide through this particular money pit.
  24. I agree 100% with you. Version 2 would be good to display at shows & conventions, but bad for my small scale 11 x 4 foot layout. I calculated version 2 at $230 (with printed tiles) a couple months back. Hopefully, Version 3 is way less money than that.
