    Finally! Progress has been made on the revised fighter spaceships... however, it's not the ones you've already seen screenshots of! The LEGO snow speeder design from Episode V (The Empire Strikes Back) of Star Wars fame has been using basically the same design for almost two decades (since 2004's set 4500, actually) and I have appropriated it for my LEGO Universe space fleet. Yes, I removed the gunners seat and added a new rear cockpit canopy, but it's the same basic overall design. (Ok, so I also placed fins on it from the EU Sandspeeder variant for added flair.) These two have replaced my original Nexus Force fighters from six years ago. (2016!) There is room inside each cockpit for a single figure. (Please note: The main cockpit canopies have the wrong "look" due to a mix-up. I want to order replacement ones without any printing soon.) Rear view showcasing the Speed Champions windscreen at the rear when the gunners seat / harpoon gun was. I am going to put a R2 droid head in behind the pilot for hyper-space navigation, but am as-yet unable to locate where I placed them in my collection. (I know I have some extra I just can't find them!) Bob's car has had some upgrades, but nothing too major. (I added a roof to it) Photos of that will come when I can get them taken. I also started finding parts for the Nexus Force-themed space Zephyr I designed in 2021. You can see that thread here. thoughts?

    Yes. The 2010 station was also $100 USD, and so was the 2014 one. Only 2007's set 7997 was lower. EDIT: ok, that'll teach me to rely on memory without looking things up first. I could've sworn all both older stations were $100!

    I add to the chorus on this: this MOD is 100% better than LEGO version. I understand what TLG were attempting to do, but there are better ways to do it, as the first post has demonstrated. Keep up the good work, @JayCal!

    Great MOC's! I always feel sorry for Sid's toys when viewing the film... they've been torn apart / re-combined, abused (blown up!), and much like Frankenstein's monster was by the villagers, misunderstood by Andy's toys at first. Sid is a monster.... and yet I look over at my bin of disembodied minifig parts and wonder does that make me a monster too?

    Fig update time! (I also updated the pictures of the rocket) Space Rangers from Left to Right: - Nic (short for Nicodemus) is a highly evolved rat with cybernetic implants for eyes because he was born blind. From a world called Thorn V.\ - Buzz Lightyear needs no introduction. - E.R.I.C. is a utility robot programed to help maintain starships. This one takes care of Buzz's rocket, 42. - Izzy Hawthorne (info redacted) - Clover comes from a world called Watership. She is an empath and can sense emotions / feelings in others. (I borrowed some characters from famous literature for the aliens: Nic is slightly based off the rat leader Nicodemus from 'Mrs. Frisby and Rats of NIMH' novel, while Clover is based (in name only) off of a character from the book 'Watership Down')

    Looking at those figures, I feel like my eyeballs are screaming in pain. But seriously, they do look something from the Town Jr. / City Centre era of mid-to-late 1990's. Do we REALLY want Timmy (from Time Cruisers and Freestyle) back in our lives? However, if it means a Lego Loco / Lego Island 2 (updated / I.E. not naked) Super Station Master, I'm all for it!

    I just bought the Zurg Battle (set 76831) recently. I didn't like the legs, as the look from Toy Story 2 / Buzz Lightyear of Star Command design for Emperor Zurg was (in my honest opinion) much better and more iconic. Here we see the finished model. Zurg has an orange 2 x 2 "boat stud" in trans-orange on the bottom for his rocket pod feet that you can't see in this shot. "...and then a little mini-fig shouted 'He's got no pants on!' Emperor Zurg suddenly realized the tiny mini-fig was right, and than the he has been tricked by Buzz Lightyear. So, Zurg re-atomized the poor fig into a compressed cylindrical pile of ash with his finger laser and declared it "No Pants for Emperor's Day." This is the ending scene from "Emperor Zurg's New Clothes", a popular bed time story for children on Planet Z. (As far as we know, no minifigs were actually re-atomized making this shot.) In actuality, this is a behind-the-scenes look at how Zurg is assembled. All the parts needed to remake the legged Zurg from Lightyear into Emperor Zurg with skirt as seen in Toy Story 2*. (NOTE: The old-style round 2x2 Light bluish gray tile should have the printed "Z" Zurg logo from 2010's Construct-A-Zurg.) *TS2-film accurate Ion Blaster not included, as I couldn't figure out a design for the tri-barrel that was in scale. The purple cheese slopes and printed tile go above the wheel arch used on the front of Zurg, while the extra 2x2 plate round goes where the Mixel ball-joint connectors went as the original hips. You can download the free LDD file for the skirt model in completed form here from Bricksafe. (Side note: If you thought I said "Zurg" a lot in this post, you're right: I said it twelve times including this last one!) Enjoy the MOD, and comments, questions, and complaints welcome!

    Just have the car carrier placed outside the other side of the tunnel with some cars minus the roof and windscreen parts on top. it would be very prototypical for a few real railroad accidents! You'd just need to rename the tunnel "Car-Opener Hill Tunnel - it does what it says!"

    I have watched this thread since the beginning, I always liked you concepts @Robert8, and feel sad it's going to end. However, amongst all this sadness, there is a wise saying out there that fits. It goes like this: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!" Thank you Robert8 for all you have created. I sincerely hope your creations inspire TLG, or maybe get you a job with them.

    This gothic-style building is inspired by 2011 Harry Potter set 10217 - Diagon Alley, specifically the Borgin and Burkes shop. Before I get started, thanks for these rendered pictures of my model goes to my brother for converting them all into Stud.io for me. They look really awesome with the printed / missing parts from LDD added back in! Anyway, this building will serve as my town's 1940's-set police station. It was heavily expanded from it's original form to have a second story and back wall. It also has hinges (like in the old Medieval Market Village - set 10193) to allow for it to open up to 90 degrees to access the inside. The building's design also features a tower, three fireplaces on one chimney flue, and staircase to the upper floor. Sadly, the attic has no room for any staircase leading to it. This model will serve as my police station on my town, and as such has a jail cell, "wanted" board, two desks and a weapons storage area by the back door. There is also a breakaway exterior wall section in the cell to bust the bad guys out! The patrol car model is heavily modified from this Rebrickable MOC's free instructions. I will have two of these cars to go with the police precinct. I plan on buying three regular 1940's-style officers and one Chief from the Police Station modular building - set 10278 for these models as well. The inside seats two figures: one officer as the driver, and one suspect in the back. That's a bout all for this building for now. I've found about 680 of 1,092 parts for the project, (minus the vehicles and figs) so it could be built relatively soon. Thoughts, anyone?

    First off, I'm very jealous. Second, I can't find my jaw on the floor... I dropped it somewhere around here! Third: Somebody more experienced with selling can help with actual numbers, but here is what I see with links to Bricklink for everything discussed: Metroliner reboot or the original (original has printed stripes on the big doors) is worth several hundred dollars or higher in just in one copy, and you have more than one. Santa Fe Super Chief with dining, observation, or sleeping cars and the mail or baggage are very hard to find sets and are at least worth $1,000 in US currency (even if you cut out the multiple diesel loco copies and custom cars, it's a lot) You have ta few of the My Own Train series, including 2x Passenger Wagon (more might be possible with the MOC's at the bottom is disassembled and rearranged into the set form) a caboose, and a hopper wagon. You also have quite a few MOC's / MOD's of actual sets, such as this 12v version of a TGV , which I recognize the color scheme of near the top of frame. You also seem to have two of this set's engine (and maybe cars too), along with another freight set, yet another freight set, and finally: a freight set from the end of 9v. The 9v track is also hard to find when it comes to straights, curves not so much. That's just tip of the iceberg: there is so much more but I can't tell what it is. Good luck @Enigma1612 on getting this all straightened out and returned to it's original set-form! @JopieK, what do you think about the value? (I'm tagging you because I don't know who else to ask... I don't sell, I accumulate!)

    This is my modular take on the Beatles concert on January 30th, 1969 at No. 3 Savile Row, then known as the Apple Corps HQ and studio. (it's back to being a house and hasn't been a studio since the mid-70's) I used half of set 76108 - Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown for the front, with a back I designed myself as that set was close enough to look passable as the original London building. I also specifically made the building more grayscale, as if the Beatles are bringing light and color to the world. You can view the photo of the original building as it is now in spoiler tags below. (WARNING: it's an very large photo from Wikipedia!) It's not my photo, either: NOTE: The following LEGO modular building was constructed for my father and his modular building collection, as he bought the bricks and I built it for him according to my design. (per his request) The figures used are from set - 21306 Yellow Submarine, and I would have included Billy Preston too as he played electric keyboard that day and for several weeks before in recording sessions, but my dad sadly misplaced the figure I created and he can't find it. (also, if you can't find George, don't worry - he is behind the chimney pipes. You can't quite see him, but he is there.) The Yellow Submarine film logo printed part will be replaced with a Beatles logo from the 2021 Art set when it arrives. The eight studs out front are for the figures (not yet built) to stop and listen to the concert. I couldn't find a picture of the back, so it's improvised, same as the inside details are fictional too. Also, I didn't include stairs in the building, because I was trying to just flesh it out in basics and worry about furniture and stuff later. The first floor (or ground, as some might call it) has a fireplace, couch, grandfather clock, a dining table with four chairs, and another table lamp. On the second floor is a bedroom with bed, cabinet, writing desk, a upright piano and a floor lamp. (I was thinking about John Lennon and Yoko Ono's week-long "bed-in for peace in Vietnam" when I designed this level) However, as Yoko is reputed to have broken up the Beatles, this will suffice for her as a figure. The items up here on the third floor include a table w/ two chairs, a record player and a lamp. There are also four bookcases of vinyl records (one for each Beatle) on this floor, along with one empty one. "I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves, and I hope we've passed the audition." - John Lennon, 1969 (at the conclusion of the concert and as heard on the album "Let it Be") My dad designed the Ringo fig's drum-set, and I have three of this stove-top part on order for amplifiers. Any Thoughts, Comments or Questions? I'd be happy to answer them! Also, side note: if you are a Beatles fan and have several hours to kill, watch the Get Back documentary by Peter Jackson. It's split in three parts and has nine hour overall runtime, but it's awesome.

    Thanks @noahtheb! It certainly took a long time to get all my ducks in a row with this project. Thank you @Johnny1360! If I could change it, I would. Unfortunately, taking it apart in any capacity will shatter countless more brown bricks and I don't want to have to go through that again. If i could go back in time and change the entire design so there would be less brown that would be nice too... Since, I purchased the instructions for the original front half from Rebrickable user JL.Bricks, (as you can see here, or as a picture below in the spoiler section. It's quite big, so that's why it's in there.) I feel that said purchase makes it impossible for me to share the file I modified from his model. Sorry @jaegerroughton!

    FINALLY, it's done! The house has been in-progress since mid-August of 2021 and was starting to drive me crazy. I added back in the original car you liked @noahtheb, as seen also below. More in-real-life pictures of the car (and a lot of the house!) have just been added to the first post as of today, April 6th 2022... nearly 9 months after I started finding parts.

    I wish the CS version was buildable too, and I think a lot of people feel the same @danth! ...We interrupt this comment to bring you a Press Release from PLANET Z to Galactic-Net News: Emperor Zurg, (de-facto head of Planet Z, evil commander of the Zyclops, and legendary poker player) has announced today that he is endorsing the Lightyear LEGO sets with his double seal of approval. He has gone on record saying he is "glad the odds are are in his favor with the help of the easy army-building set Zyclops Chase" (76830) and that the Zurg Battle (76831) "really brings out his bad side". As for the XL-15 spaceship (set 76832) Zurg offered some sage advice: "Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed: the power to make a new windscreen in trans-yellow is insignificant compared to the power of BrickLink scalpers." Notably, Zurg did not rule out the possibility of copying the ship's design in other colors for his own purposes. Finally, when questioned about Lightyear's chances at the box office and in toy aisle, he stated that "Lightyear will be my greatest triumph yet... and even if it isn't, there is always hope for a sequel or maybe even a animated series on TV!" We now return you to your regularly scheduled programing... These new, bigger brick-built hands are going on Zurg when I get him on April 24th. I can't wait for these Lightyear sets!

    I'm not sure what you're saying, since star wars is a film series since 1977, the theme started in 1999, and the original game came out in 2005. Could you please explain what you mean by your comment? I'm terribly confused.

    I was looking forward to the possibility of a Muppet's CMF / Lightyear sets review from you guys, but that dream has died now. And so, much like The Lone Ranger riding off into the sunset forever, or the Titanic leaving dry land for the last time, it's the end of an era, and it will be missed. R.I.P. Eurobricks embargoed set's reviews. (Also, good luck on the life-size Mindstorms's robot @Jim!)

    That set actually looks like a good start to a science museum building. And, as a handful of the US science museum's have gotten a space shuttle since they were retired, you don't have to remove the space shuttle walkway or ship! EDIT: and now there is a Duplo lightyear set, for those of you interested. It's set "10962: Buzz Lightyear's interplanetary mission" and it even comes with a triangular robot we don't have in mini-fig scale!
