I really like it. The impression of simplicity belies the hard work involved.

You should probably get them in the reverse order of release (i.e. oldest first). So, Pet Shop, Palace Cinema, Parisian Restaurant and then Detective's Office. But, your build order may be different. For example, I would build the Detective's Office because I considered it to be the "worst" build.

Holiday Destinations sounds interesting. With the "3 in 1" aspect, I wonder whether it's something like beach, mountains and snow. Or whether it's something like arcade, fast food restaurant and museum?>

That looks awesome. I may be in he minority, but I would have loved something like that as a child. I always hated the missing walls and ceilings. I do think that the colours would need to be changed to make it more appealing to children. I like it,but a brown box may not win many hearts. And a helipad on the roof is probably important. Otherwise, I think it's a great and valid design for an official set.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
Agent 86 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I want Disney Princesses in this line - the more the merrier. I have no interest in mini doll versions of Ariel, Belle, Mulan, etc. But, I would be more than happy to collect mini figure versions of those characters.- 4,155 replies

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
Agent 86 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Isn't Mulan classified as a Disney princess? All five emotions from Inside Out does seem a little odd. As does Tarzan and Jane, although their inclusion is more understandable. Have there been any rumours about the rumoured Disney build/set which may be released along with the CMFs?- 4,155 replies

What 2016 Themes/Sets Are You Most Hyped For?
Agent 86 replied to Chilly_Productions's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Brick Bank and the Creator Corner Deli. Maybe the Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters, once I see some reviews. In terms of rumours, the Disney CMFs, the Disney "set" and the Classic Batcave all have potential to be awesome.- 64 replies

I wonder how Modular-esque the rebooted GB headquarters would be? If the set pics are correct (http://boston.eater.com/2015/7/6/8901155/kaze-shabu-shabu-temporary-closed-ghostbusters-boston), then it's a smaller building than the original headquarters, so it might be doable. But, just a shrunken façade seems more likely. -
Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
Agent 86 replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Thanks RonanSai. I have found the pieces on Bricklink, but it works out pretty expensive for just seven pieces if I buy them from one of the few international stores which stock all seven of them. I can't even seem to find all seven pieces across multiple Aussie stores. -

Are Lego's online "Pick a Brick" and "Bricks and Pieces" and the Bricklink website pretty much the only places to source particular Lego pieces? I'm chasing around seven Lego pieces to complete some second hand Lego sets, but I can't find them all on either of Lego's stores nor can I find an Aussie store on Bricklink with all of the pieces. I was just wondering whether there are any other sources I can try. Thanks in advance! -
I really like it. The level of external and internal details is just right for me.

I love Lego. I love Chipolte. And I love Modulars. So, this is just awesome! I can't believe that it is your first Modular MOC.

It's all my partners fault! They're the one who kept suggesting that I buy Lego instead of action figures or other collectibles. Even when I did purchase my first Lego set (the Creator Toy and Grocery Store), they convinced me to return it and buy the Palace Cinema instead. I'd collected Lego as a child, but I had no idea how awesome and detailed the builds had become, especially the Modular and some of the other Creator sets.

Q. What do you think of the way LEGO markets their non-licensed themes to boys and girls? A. I think it's unnecessarily limiting. Firstly, I don't like that there is now a "boy" Lego aisle (which also includes the arguably more gender neutral Town/City and Creator sets, as well as licensed sets) and a "girl" Lego aisle (which only includes Disney Princess, Elves and Friends). Secondly, I'm not a fan of the minidolls because it creates an unnecessary division between the sets which contain minidolls and those which contain minifigures. Sure, the bricks will always be compatible, but the figures are not (although some parts are interchangeable). As female (and male) minifigures in CMF series and other Lego sets seem to appeal to girls, I'm not sure why it was necessary to create minidolls for the dedicated "girl" themes. And if they had to create a more feminine form, then I probably would have liked them to tweak the minifigure design with a different torso rather than creating an entirely new figure (although I'm not a big fan of the "painted" curves and cleavage on female minifigures as it is). Finally, it would be nice if non-licensed themes were marketed in a more gender neutral manner, whether it is the colour of the bricks and boxes, the gender of the children in the advertisements or the gender of the minifigures/minidolls in the sets. Personally, I find some of the"girl" themes more appealing than the"boy" themes, particularly Friends. But, I'm yet to buy any Friends sets because the minidolls seem like a waste of money. They wouldn't "fit" in my display, even though the builds themselves would (even with the pink/purple accents). I'm not sure what the right "fix" would be since Lego have embraced the minidoll. Maybe they could try a new theme directed at girls which uses minifigures? And if it is a success, slowly migrate back to minifigures across all sets?

Awesome! I would very much like an official Lego Modular which was as great as this one.

Thanks legozebra. That sounds VERY impressive! No mention of Ecto-1 or Ecto-1A. Maybe Lego will re-release it together with this set? And has the TRU page been removed already? I can't seem to find it. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Agent 86 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
It would be awesome if Lego released a half-size (16 x 32) Modular each year in addition to the full-size Modular. Another townhouse would be great (especially if the façade was easily variable). I'd also be happy to receive some more small stores with apartments above like the Pet Shop. Or even a building with various services (e.g. bookstore on ground floor, dentist above and psychiatrist above that). -
If you appreciate little details and new building techniques, then I'd probably recommend the Parisian Restaurant. The Palace Cinema was a nice build, but I think the Parisian Restaurant was more unique.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Agent 86 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I'm not overly familiar with the release pattern, but are we due a "civic" building next? It's been a while since the Fire Brigade and Town Hall were released, so another civil building might be due sooner rather than later. And it does have easy and obvious "story" potential. Then again, even if the next Modular was a civic building, it could be a library, museum or hospital. -
I like it, but I don't love it. I probably would have sacrificed the laundromat to make the bank a bit grander. I'm guessing it's there for story purposes, but the style of the laundromat clashes a little bit too much with the style of the bank for me. I'm also a little disappointed that there isn't a third floor or any residential space, but that was probably expecting too much from a bank!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Agent 86 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
The rumours are heating up! I'm looking forward to the reveal. The laundromat does sound like an odd inclusion with a bank, but I have faith that it will make sense when revealed. -
I think this is a great set, but I wish the TARDIS doors opened in a more realistic manner so that you could have just the TARDIS displayed in a street scene with the Doctor stepping out of the TARDIS.

Wow. That's really impressive. And it makes me want to buy the Simpsons House myself!

A Disney's Magic Kingdom castle would be oh so magical! I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But, I would like some concrete news about either the rumoured Ghostbusters headquarters or the next Modular sooner rather than later.
