Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Agent 86 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I'd be pretty happy with a corner Bank. I think it's a needed "main street" service and it will also enable Lego to easily build a "story" if they continue with that aspect of marketing the Modulars. I'd also be very happy if the rumoured Ghostbusters Headquarters was compatible with the Modulars (or could be easily modded to be compatible). -

Re: Simpsons Sets I would consider waiting for a 20% off sale at Big W, if you have some local Big W stores with stock. I recommend keeping an eye on these blogs for all of the latest sales: http://brickingaround.com/ http://jaysbrickblog.com/ -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Agent 86 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Re: Combining two Pet Shops The Pet Shop is probably my favourite Modular to date. What is everyone doing when they "combine" them? Reverse building the townhouse? Reverse building the Pet Shop, but turning it into a café or some other store? Combining the two Pet Shops to double the width (or height) of the original? -
75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters Discussion
Agent 86 replied to kelceycoe's topic in LEGO Licensed
Does everyone think that it's likely this set would include the Ecto-1 (or a version of it)? Or would Lego simply extend the production of the Lego Ideas Ecto-1 (21108)? It seems that the Lego Ideas Ecto-1 is getting a little difficult to find (at least locally for me in Australia). Surely Lego wouldn't release the Ghosbusters headquarters without ensuring that fans could easily obtain Ecto-1 as well? -
That's very cool. The school is awesome. And I also like the flower and work shops.

A castle, preferably Sleeping Beauty's Castle, would be my number one choice for any general "Disney" themed Lego set. I don't think it would be "boring", especially with a bunch of Disney CMFs to play in and around the castle. And they could add various elements to it. It wouldn't need to solely be a walk-though. They could have a throne room, dungeon, etc. Of course, once they've released a castle, then I would want ALL of Main Street, again preferably Disneyland. And some Lego-translatable rides like Dumbo, Teacups, Astro Orbiters, etc.- 4,155 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

@ Naijel - It's in the Valley. Corner of Wickham and I think Brookes Streets. I've been past it many times, but, as a recent AFOL, today was the first time that I appreciated it as a potential Lego set. Especially being a corner and a period building. -
Very nice. I echo the assumed Gaudi influence.

I'm changing my wishful thinking for the next (corner) Modular from a bank to a police station: http://www.thefotofanatic.com/photos/655768160_jgKLu-X2.jpg -

@ tkatt - Do you have a link to your recoloured/new, non-haunted mansion? I'd really like to build it, but like the OP, it's outside of my budget even secondhand. I was wondering whether a recoloured version would be cheaper to Bricklink. -
That's all I could find as well. As best as I can tell, there are two stores labelled "Lego Stores" whereas all of the others are called "Click Brick", so I think it is the Lego stores which have the PAB selection. But, the Lego Stores are both about two hours from Tokyo and they're not directly near train stations, so I wouldn't be able to find the, easily.

Really, really, really nice. I love seeing purely residential Modulars.

From the website (http://clickbrick.info/about/) it looks like some of the Click Brick stores in Japan now have "Pick a Brick". But, I can't figure out which stores offer this. Does anyone know of any Click Brick store in or around Tokyo which have the "Pick a Brick" walls/buckets?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

@ Sir Stig - Very nice. That would make for a nice corner Modular building. Re: Arched Glass - That would be good, although then I'd need to buy a LOT of extras to fix all the currently glassless arched windows. -
Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
Agent 86 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd be happy if Peter Pan, Tink and Captain Hook were all included. I'm most pleased that, if the rumour/report about Peter Pan is correct, then it indicates that there will at least be some classic Disney characters included in the series. I would be over the moon if there was a Disneyland Castle released as a tie-in with this line. Of course, if we got Sleeping Beauty's castle, then I would pretty much want ALL of Main Street, especially the Fire Station with Walt Disney's apartment above it, the Disneyland Railroad (with Lily Belle) and maybe even some of the Magic Kingdom rides which could work in Lego form (e.g Dumbo, Astro Orbiters, Mad Tea Party, Mickey's House, etc). Basically, my excitement for "Disney" related Lego knows no bounds. I don't know the history of the Disney Princess minidoll line, but I really hope that it doesn't mean that the Princess and related characters, particularly their villains, cannot be released in minifigure format.- 4,155 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Re: Service Station I'd like to see a service station (with upstairs apartment/s) as a Modular building. Ideally, something like this: http://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-retail-qld-fortitude+valley-500722007 http://www.commercialrealestate.com.au/property/7698190/for-lease/qld/fortitude-valley/industrial-warehouse -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Agent 86 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Re: Re-release of a Modular vs. re-release of the Winter Toy Shop I'm hopeful that most of the vocal outcry is simply from fans who were looking forward to adding a new Lego set to their Winter Village collection as opposed to fans who are annoyed about the likely decline in the value of one of their sets on the secondary market or who are upset that one of their sets will no longer be as "exclusive" as it once was. As such, as long as any re-release of a Modular was in addition to the annual, new Modular, then I don't think the uproar would be anywhere near as bad. The fact that any re-release would, more than likely, include at least some substitute and/or alternative colour parts may also help. Lego would also have an opportunity to provide interior details for those earlier Modulars which didn't have any. And, as indicated by the Winter Toy Shop, the minifigures would also presumably be varied from the originals. Personally, although I have paid well above the original RRP for second-hand versions of the Town Hall and Grand Emporium (and will do the same for the Fire Brigade), I would not be majorly upset if Lego re-released those sets. I would be annoyed at my own impatience and "waste" of money, but I wouldn't begrudge other fans being able to buy their own versions of those Lego sets. And I would probably buy those sets again and use the parts from my existing sets for alternative builds (or even combine the two sets to make bigger versions). Re: Shopping arcade with four small stores I like the idea of a shopping arcade, but I would be disappointed with another Modular which has inaccessible interiors because my adult-size hands are too big to fit inside without "breaking" things. If it was a shopping arcade, I would hope for a bakery and butcher downstairs. And maybe a jewellery store and hat shop upstairs (although the Grand Emporium already sells hats, so maybe it would need to be another "small" retail store).
