    My Work...

I like the convertible. Good design and idea.
  5. This thread really makes me want to spend more than I should on this set :)

    My Lego City

Very nice. I like the variety.
  8. Good work!
  9. As others have said, the Grand Emporium is a good one to get before it goes completely away (at least at retail price). I started with the Grand Emporium and then bought the Pet Shop. I actually enjoyed the build of the Pet Shop better since it was two buildings that were fairly different. I had actually gone to the Lego store with the Parisian Restaurant in mind, but it was sold out. I am currently trying to find a Fire Brigade for as close to retail as possible.
  10. Looks like Lego Digital Designer. It is a free download. I have spent many hours playing around with it. :)
  11. I have noticed that some of my sets from the late 80s/early 90s are a little more loose than my new sets.
  12. I really like it. It looks like it would fit well with the Fire Brigade.
  13. I have been to two of the three stores in the Dallas, Texas area. The store at Stonebriar mall is always great. They are extremely friendly and helpful. The other store is attached to the Legoland Discovery Center in Grapevine, TX. It is almost always packed and the employees are more focused on restocking than the customers. However, when they do talk to you, they are polite and friendly. There is one other store in my area, but I have not been there yet.

  15. This seems like a really hard question to answer. My advice would be to buy some sets that are similar to what you want to build and then mod those sets to fit your wants and needs. Check out http://rebrickable.com/ for some ideas on what can be built with pre packaged sets. I hope this helps and have fun!
  16. I really like all of these. Good work!
  17. I may have to order a few of these to check them out. Thanks!
  18. At this point, I am mostly SET. However, going by the fact that I have all of my old sets from my childhood I would also be partly a collector. I dabble in MOCs occasionally on LDD. If I ever make something that I am really happy with I will order the bricks to make it a real model. Once my son is a little older there will probably be more modding as we build our city. :)
  19. Next.... Bandit's Secret Hide-Out Theme: Western Pieces: 250 Minifigures: 5 Year: 1996 Original MSRP: $39.99 This set features a tipping water tower (barrel) and a trip wire that makes a cannon roll out of the rocks toward whoever is approaching.
  20. Up Next: Gold City Junction 6765 Theme: Western Pieces: 350 Minifigures: 6 Year: 1996 Original MSRP: $49.99 This set features a bank, general store, and an armored bank wagon. Both the wagon and the bank features "exploding" parts that use Technic springs to blow parts apart.
  21. Good work!
  22. Thanks! I think once I build the smaller version I will use that as a starting point to expand and enlarge it.
  23. Very nice!
