  1. I really like this build/idea. It is always cool to see some added realism in a Lego city layout with obscure (but necessary in the real world) structures like this. Good work!
  2. Wow! This whole build is really impressive!
  3. Looks good!
  4. I really like this station. The sign on the front is really cool. Good work!
  5. Very impressive! I envy the space too!
  6. Great thread. Thanks for the build/review!
  7. We have a similar story, my son was born in February and inspired me to get back in to Lego. The layout looks great!
  8. I have found a few around $200 (US) as well. I will likely pull the trigger when my monthly bonus check comes :)
  9. I think a detective office would be a nice change of pace from the regular police stations that come out every few years.
  10. Your trucks look great!
  11. Wow! Very impressive!
  12. If anyone has too many sets that they don't have time to build I am happy to take them off of your hands :)
  13. Looks really good. If I ever expand my BL store I will use these. Thanks for posting them!
  14. I had forgot about the Technic figures until I found this one in my old collection. It may not be mini, but it yellow. :)
  15. I know the feeling. After going through my old sets it seems that I stopped with the Western theme that came out in 1996. I was 12 at the time. I had always wanted to get back in to it, but I felt that I was too old. I had no idea that the AFOL community even existed. My son was born in February of this year. I am really excited to share my hobby with him, if he is interested of course. The set that got me back in was the Ecto-1. When I was younger two of my biggest toy collections were Lego and Ghostbusters (TMNT being the third), once I saw that they combined Lego and GB I couldn't resist. :) Since then I have started rebuilidng my old sets to check them for completion. Once they are done I take them apart, bag and box them up, and put them away for my son to enjoy in a few years. I have also jumped in to the modulars as I can afford them. It has been really cool to see the new parts/pieces and building techniques that have come up since I entered my dark age.
  16. Hopefully in the next few years we will be able to move in to a house that will have room for me to build a Lego city with my son. I have seen a lot of people who incorporate a beach in to their layout. Does anyone here have a "country" or forest area? It seems like it could work well with sets like the Log Cabin, Mountain Hut, Camper Van, etc. Anyone have pictures of something like this in their city? I know there is no way that I am the first one to think of this haha. :)
  17. Looks good. The whole layout looks amazing.
  18. Looks great! Is the blue a preference or are the blue parts/pieces easier and/or cheaper to get a hold of?
  19. So many modulars, not enough expendable income :)
  20. Very cool! I may need to build some of these to go with my Camper and Mountain Hut :)
  21. The attention to detail is amazing. Well done!
  22. This thread is great! It makes me wish I could afford the Green Grocer and Fire Brigade at their current prices.
  23. Those all look really good. To the OP, I have had this issue with building various Lego models in the past and trying to make them work together. I just had to settle myself that the scale would not always match up perfectly and that was ok. :)
  24. Very impressive. The Excel floor plan is a great idea.
