  1. Nice, although there's more tread links in it to keep you busy. By the time you are done with it you'll have those links beat into submission.
  2. Very cool project! It looks great and is packed with functions. The contest idea is great, too. Is the counterweight in the rear enough? The picture showing the up-down arm movement makes it look as if the machine is heavier on the front. Maybe it's just an optical illusion.
  3. @agrof @Lipko It's completely understandable that you want to focus on other things. I stepped away from the hobby for the past few months because of some classes I was taking - life always takes priority. Don't be a stranger, you are always welcome here.
  4. Welcome to Eurobricks! I like the performance of this build, and it looks pretty good, too. It could be a bit wider to increase stability, or maybe not as tall. No complaints beyond that.
  5. You can try this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0AvgrrIzcTQNmI4YzAxOTRrR1hfQTBKVUd5RjMyWFVDOFhZ/view?usp=drivesdk (I hope the link works.)
  6. Very good progress so far. As a kid I used to struggle with the tiny chain links used on 1L-wide gears (8/24/40 teeth). I eventually figured out that snapping them together on the gear was much easier than doing it in the air. It also helped if the gear on which the snapping was done was immobilized. You could try the same technique on the big links if you're not happy with your current one.
  7. Nice solution to the lack of bevel gears. My only criticism is that the tail could be a little longer to make it look slightly more proportional, although I don't know if there are enough parts in this set to do that.
  8. Last I heard Didumos69 has some strong opinions about flex axles.
  9. Are you planning on putting a spare wheel or two in the rear to balance the weight and/or make the rear suspension more compliant? If no, then you can use the fake engine to achieve the same effect. If you don't need the weight in the rear then I would skip both the spare tire(s) and the fake engine.
  10. Congratulation to the winners, very well deserved spots.
  11. Very good performance in the snow! The video is very well done, too. Are you using POV-Ray for rendering?
  12. 16 Cylinder Engine Cylinders are not offset, so it's not really a W engine, but it works rather well. Single crankshaft, and you can add extra cams to play with the piston timing. LDR model is here.
  13. Nice work on fitting two rows of cylinders. I tried it last week with this design but it wasn't a success.
  14. Welcome back, we missed you! It's nice to see that you haven't stopped building.
  15. I hope this is better executed than the Mindstorms IR remote - the buttons on that one are very uncomfortable and offer very little feedback.
  16. Still looking at the wheel rims. They have a rectangular slot between each of the pins. It could potentially be used to eliminate wobble between the rim and the hub if the hub has matching protrusions.
  17. The only other scenario I can imagine is that there are new hubs, but old ones were used in the teaser video to slow down certain copycats.
  18. Great job on the C-model, it looks fantastic.
  19. Many models have a digital build available - there's a topic with a list of them on Eurobricks. You can use those as a starting point, show the disassembly and then show the installation of new parts. I think the choice between PDF instructions (photo or LPub) and video instructions will come down to what you're more comfortable doing. Both will be time consuming if you want them to look good.
  20. @curakar Very nice collection! I sometimes wish I had the self restraint to keep my sets assembled.
  21. Nice to hear that you got it working - there are occasional posts here asking for help getting RCX to play nice with modern operating systems (and vice versa). I think your excitement will be shared by others.
  22. @AVCampos Thanks for the explanation, it clears up my confusion.
