  1. The rock work looks much better, a lot more natural looking.
  2. I can't wait! Actually I can, three 52 litre tubs of sorting to do first!
  3. Thanks! I was getting tired of always building the same style castles so I thought it was time to do something different!
  4. It's always interesting to see these models in progress, thanks for sharing!
  5. Wow! Very impressive. It's a pity ideas rejected it thought here wasn't really much chance of it becoming an official set- it would just be too big and expensive for most of the people who would buy such a set. Then again, it could have been released as a limited run only available from Lego direct. Is there any chance of this being built in real bricks? I know it would be very expensive but perhaps the model would be purchased from you for display at the cathedral. Probably just wishful thinking though!
  6. . It looks like they are stickers to me- printing is generally closer to the edge of the piece, those look like stickers to me.Well, with the nice shields, I think it could be pretty easily repurposed. I meant specifically as a parts pack after selling the Disney themed mini figures.
  7. The roof design looks excellent as does using the barrels for roof supports. Overall great job!
  8. Looks great! I really like the custom museum building.
  9. Great job! The only thing that's could be improved here would be a few more leaves on the tree. Apart from that everything is excellent. It was great fun- at least the part I saw of it, the paid membership never got rolled out to Australia! I think if Lego released it along with a line of sets it could have been much more successful- there was a lot of potential for great sets and the revitalisation of some of the classic themes there... Oh well. Here's to a Lego universe ideas set!
  10. Nice one. I particularly like the ornate base. The towel doesn't really work as a background, a sheet or a neutral coloured piece of card, paper or even a roller blind would be a better option. Also, if you have the time, learning some basic photoshop or GIMP will really improve your photos.
  11. Great summer background! It was a nice surprise to suddenly see the entire theme change when I opened forum information and help!
  12. Please do. It's funny, I sent and received about 50 PMs last month and haven't yet had any this month!
  13. Yes, it's very expensive- still, at least there is a 'castle' this year. Perhaps the mini figs would be worth something to make it better as a parts pack. They look quite similar to the collectable ones though. In my mind, this is how Lego is making up for disappointing year for classic castle fans.
  14. Thanks, that was the idea, to create something that doesn't normally appear in GoH!
  15. . Thanks! I am glad the photos work, the lighting was really hard to get right- it took me four goes!
  16. Very impressive, especially at that scale. This would be a better fit in the licenced forum rather than this one. A moderator will probably move it.
  17. That must have been a lot of work to put together! Great job!
  18. I am guessing: 1) photographer, 2) cyclist 3) desert nomad
  19. Great job! I think that a transparent colour for the eyes would have been a better fit, but apart from that it is excellent.
  20. Hmm, do you have a picture of the issue? It's a bit tricky to tell form just a description. You have doubled checked that part of the model against the instructions right?
  21. Good job. I think if you added a darker coloured background rather than white it would really improve the theme and atmosphere of the model.
  22. Great job! The larger one is particularly good. I,like how you added a mini figure for scale.
  23. Nice one! I wonder if TLG will ever do a chess set in this theme...
  24. Nice one! Adding some more texture to the walls would, really help improve it I think. Apart from that, everything's excellently. I wish TLG made modular buildings like this.
  25. I believe it varies between different countries so I can't help you with that specifically, though I do know that most of the output of the China factory for example (excluding CMFs and certain parts), goes to the surrounding area, more specifically China and Japan. I don't think Australia get that much of the Chinese made parts though I may be wrong. Oops getting very of topic here...
