If you`re not in the EGS game, you don`t have to worry about doubloons anyways is it not?

[SR-FB2] This Is Not the Wealthy Housing of Rassilon

That lecturn is great, seems you`re on a building roll here

Poor parrot is going to be jumpy when those cannons roar... Love the details like the tower trapdoor and the gunpowder stocking, nice build! Oh, and ofc:

Your second building, and apart from your very, very first one in the game, also your first every month would cost you doubloons. The only free`s you get here are 1 property license (your first) and one class 1 or 2 ship license (again, the first you want to register). It`s all in the `Owning Property`, `Building ships` and the `EGS rules` posts under the Master Index So your second building will cost you 25 DB from your account (or tally for the month). The first two freebuilds you do within any given month give a standard income of 10 each, everyone after that gives an income depending on the number of approvals from not same faction members. But you still have to pay their cost. I believe the ship rules for cargo state the `loot` you get would increase again by the number of cargo. So if you have 20 with a 0 rating, it would remain 20, but if you had rating 1 it would become +10%. or at least thats`s how I made it out from the sample voyage in the MCRA section

My example was made with month 1 when you start (being january in this case), and using just the two `free registrations` you get to get going in the game (aka, the very first the ship and the property license you get). Both count as a freebuild as they are not challenge related, so both yield 10 DB, hence 25 + 10 + 10. The property you build in january, only `gives` his yield at the end of february, and even though you can `lend against it`, you don`t actually have those 5 DBs in your chest at the beginning of the month That would give you basic those 45 DB at the first of february to start with, without as I noted any additional freebuilds, challenges and other actions like the MCRA whom all have differentiating outcomes. Mind you, the rules state EVERY month the first two freebuilds grant 10 DB, not only the free ones from the very first month.

So basically, this month if you sign on you get as a baseline: SigFig with introduction: 25 // Free Build 1 (let`s say the free boat): 10 // Free Build 2 (the free cost property, that would yield 5): 10 for a total of 45 In february, that could then be: 45 to start with, Build a property of 25 DB which in turn would grant you 10 as being the months first free build for a saldo of 30, build a second property of 25 that also yield 10 as the second free build, putting your total on 15, Gain the yield from the january property of 5, totalling you for 20 to spend on the next month to begin with So the first three to four months, if you only do the fixed `2 Free Bields gaining you 10 DB each) would get you in loss, then afterwards the numbers go upwards That is without any additional income from the MCRA, Challenges or other activities like a 3rd or more free build Am I correct I nailed the `system` down that way and can start planning to build along those lines?

MAESTRO: an Eslandolan Trade Company
Tomsche replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Basically, instead of being Blackbeard, Jack Sparrow, Captain Flynt or Charles Vane, you`d be Francis Drake. A pirate that not raids for profit and freedom, but for the crown, who paid the expenses to wreak havoc on the trade lines of rival nations. -
There isn`t been an MCRA form right at the moment, just the test form, or did I miss it somewhere

MAESTRO: an Eslandolan Trade Company
Tomsche replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
To the venerable High Lords of MAESTRO As emmisary from the crown of Corrington, I am happy to announce the Queen has given us permission to set up a trading post on our island of Tiberia. I am currently also in the joyous awaiting of being granted a land charter on one of the possible new islands should Corrington discover some, which our Trade Company will be able to use as a foothold into any possible future endeavours, but I will make certain to inform you Lords when and if this comes to pass. Yours truly, Embassador of Corrington Sir Thomas Smaugton, Eslandola-Corrington Trade affairs -

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
Tomsche replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Your honorable Admiral Woodbrose It is with great honour that I will accept the offer of her most generous majesty Queen Annetta and will accept the proposition with the greatest of gratitudes. I will round up any intrested colonists and start preparations for the journey as her Queen suggests (I take that my `free property` this month as such can be placed on Tiberia, then moved later to the new settlement if I understand correctly?) to spread the culture and values of Corrington into the New World. Yours truly Sir Thomas Smaugton- 897 replies

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
Tomsche replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Okay, so if I get this correctly, if we want to found a settlement to put his properties on, we have to ask for a charter right here in this topic, and a Single Founding Charter to create our own little hamlet`s that can grow into cities right? My goal over time will be to be able to create a small city, which I can also take along if needed as a layout to local events, and put all the buildings as such together on larger baseplates as it grows, but that is still a bit of a way off :-) Well, here goes then, before I post my first small building hopefully later this week :-) To her royal Majesty Queen Annetta, To her loyal administrator Admiral Woodbrose By means of this writing, I, your loyal servant Sir Thomas Smaugton, would like to request the permittance of founding a hamlet on the lands of Corrington. I would like to plant the banner of my house on the northern side of the Island of Tiberia, in the hopes it can one day grow to become an auxilliary port of the city of Arlinsport. To further this ends, I will hope that my relations as a membre of the Eslandolian Trade Company MAESTRO might prove usefull to gain even better trade relations between the Empire and Kingdom. To this end, I wish to name the fledgling settlement Quinnsville, and will hope to open it`s small harbour once it is completed for trade to Corlander and MAESTRO traders alike. In the hopes that the Single Founding Chapter will be rewarded to your servant, Yours sincerly Sir Thomas Smaugton- 897 replies

Very nice ship, the sails look really well About the classifications, Ska has a post in the shipbuilding thread where there is a list of `excisting` hulls and how they might incorporate, I think that a rather well guideline for the moment. Being a new project, we already have a lot of info to go through, and smacking on even more lists and rules might shun away future shiprights But perhaps, a `length of stud` or something might be the way to go for the future... now, off to build my class 0 boat- 25 replies

That`s a bit of the `problem` in sailing ship games (wargames and such), the Age of Discovery / sail had such big technical evolutions in a short 200 years. At the battle of Lepanto, we had the galleys with oars and supporting masts (which is roughly the era the italian carracks hauled from as well), where the smaller ships usually had the one or two sails, but no `triangle front sails` as they where used primarily on the mediterrean, which is a relatively calm sea. Hop 150 years forward to the War of 1812, and you had the majestic Ships of the Line like `Old Ironsides`, the USS Constitution, with the intricate rigging and massive masts and sails. And somewhere in between, you had the Age of Piracy in the early 1600s (Pirates of the Carribean, Black Sails, etc etc), in which a bit of both was present, so I tried to make the HMS Green Dragon a bit of an `in between` from the oars to pure sail vessels.

My `free license property` is ready as well, but it`ll be while (before the month ends though) when I can take and place pictures. It`ll be a forge on Elysabethtown. Now go and correct my sigfigs name
