  1. OOOPS... ... was the last thing Falco, hence known as `the not so Swift`, heard. Sparring is a dangerous game, and even more so when the fierce warriors of Midgardia take arms to train and hone their skills. No wooden training weapons for these hardened warriors, no holding back of blows... and if you don`t keep your head cool, you won`t keep your head at all! This small MoC is the first step on the road to building the Barracks tree line, and to be honest I found this quite a difficult task. Sparring itself is simple enough, pose two minifigs battlign it out, but what does one do to make a duel just that little bit more intresting? I opted for the not so common theme of an `accident` happening between a warrior carrying a light weapon for swift attacks, facing off a brute with a huge weapon that you pray that it just wouldn`t connetc. As it did here...
  2. Nah we didn't, I was there strolling around, but I didn't do to much talkies to standholders and BeLUG'ers (of which I'm also a member ), having three munchkins running around tends to do those things ;-)
  3. Must... Order... Brown... Bricks

  4. AoM Storehouse phase I / Tomsche / Mitgardia - in the hopes of getting a certification for roofing
  5. Next year I'll join in, I was there (as Sebeus was allowed to use my pics), joined this forum through there as my GoH got sparked, so next year I'll definitly drop by to say hi
  6. Thanks; found the uni thread!
  7. Indeed; for some reason of obscurity, I ordered 70 SW droid arms just today on BL. 20 that I need, and 50 'just in case'
  8. That is a very lovely and detailed build! And a great source of inspiration on techniques there BTW; what does this mean? Also I'd like to receive UoP credits for; I guess something in-sitey, but probably have read over it in the first part of the forum

  10. That's comming in someday with the market cart ;-)
  11. It's yellow pants ;-) hence I went for the flesh face of Han Solo from the 2013 A-Wing... combined with the visor of the yellow castle from 1978, I have 35 years of bricks and pieces on my sigfig... just like myself hehehe
  12. Well, better to jump in the water, so here is my Phase I project for the Storehouse `line` http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=88798
  13. Catarina didn`t like this a bit. A job as a manager she had been promised. Lots of traffic and food to be stored to help the people of Mitgardia during the harshest of winters. It all sounded so noble and so good, but reality was a cruel lover. She found herself managing a small cabin, barely big enough to store all the food for a small hamlet, let alone a village. The winds raged through the cabin by the poles used as a back wall, it was small, moist and dark, at least the smoked fish would feel at home in there... "More then I" she thought as she poured herself another cup of wine. Hey all. This is my first entry (and de facto, first `real` MoC) that I made for the AoM project, as I just signed up to Midgardia for this very series of projects. It is the simple cabin for Phase 1 of Agriculture - Storehouse as, well, no-one seemed to want to go in that direction at the moment, and that it is build from salvaged parts of my X and Y wings which I finally broke down. I hope it is liked a little, as I`m still planning and searching for inspiration for the phase 2 and 3 but we`ll get there hehe. Cheerios!
  14. Greetings and Salutations fellow Mitgardians As the Icy Winds come down the hills, I, Hagen of the Village of Merak, born under the Beta star of Ursa Majoris and protected by the Steed Sleipnir, pledge my sword to this bravest of guilds. I hope especcially to hone my skills in building for the AoM, as I have on the one side a lot of white bricks, and on the other side can use to learn as so far my `MoC` have been nothing more then a few details to a baseplate to house excisting sets. Kind regards Tomsche
  15. Thanks for the comments, I even attracted apparently a spammus roboticus @ Nightstalker: I'm definitly going to look into that option, I got tons of the old grey blocks anyways so elevating couldn't be a problem @ Legoman of War: it's a great way I found for myself to bring some order in the chaos of smaller sets all standing through each other on shelves. I'm going to sign up with the Hostorica project I think in order to build some small scenes challenges just for that (well, mainly) reason
  16. Another small action diorama I put together, this one makes use of the small Pharaoh`s Quest Scarab Attack set as well as the promotional small plane from the same range. The Prince of Persia range kindly donated the other rock formations The main `try` of this was to have the plane airbound without it distracting to much attention to the clear bricks to lift it up.
  17. [pid][/pid] 239C A small scene I knocked together (still retraining myself after 20 years hiatus lol), as Captain Sparrow chances about a REAL Dead Man`s Chest
  18. I finally am slowly getting around of building mini-rama`s with my smaller sets, mainly re-inspired by Brickmania 2 weeks ago where there where a lot of those on display. This particular one has been using the Riddle set from The Hobbit, as I wanted to rebuild the arrival of Gollum on his little boat...
  19. Thanks all for the welcomes!
  20. That must be the 'Yellow Castle' for me, so the most unique pieces of that I think are the visors for the knights
  21. It was an improvement though compared to the smaller Apollo venue of last year
  22. I just joined up on this froum after the Brickmania event, and a fellow BeLug'er asking to use some pictures of moi here. Of course he could, we're all adults playing with the same toys after all, but I never had heard of the forum before (yes I know, shame on me) I'm Tom, from Antwerp, a 35 year old bricker who has been out of it for almost two decades, until the Munchkin saw the light and traded in his Playmobil for Lego (mostly Carribean and Potter) and I had an excuse at last to start playing with the LEGO again as well! I sorted out all my old bricks, got into a few lines I love (Pharaoh's Quest for one) and now am slowly trying my hands again at moc's and small dioramas. Albeit very slowly... I blame the Playstation games of Lego for eating up spare time. Hope to have a great look and inspiration around here, and to talk to a lot of you people! Excelsior!
  23. Glad you could do something with the pictures. It definitly was a mighty display, so many great small scenes worked into it, I stared at it for half an hour, and hadn't even noticed the alien
